Aim of the Worship of God
An important note of the Sanatana Dharma,—the Eternal Religion,—is the teaching:—"Worship God with love and longing your heart, not in hope of reward and not in fear of punishment. Worship Him, not coveting heaven and not fearing hell!"
Rabia was a true devotee of the Lord. One day, as she sought of God, she wept and said -.—"Set fire, O God! to Thy Paradise and pour water to extinguish hell-fire, and let all Worship Thee for the sake of pure love!''
