This question can be related to system and policy to what to lock and when. But if this is for devotion, This question should not exist at first place. Baba can light the diya’s with water. But that is not real power of Baba. This even an advance yogi or good scientist can do if practice with control over elements. Baba is above all this, He had to conduct lots of Miracles for ordinary humans, because We poor people with our false knowledge and wisdom have no option to judge status of an Human to be God other than numbers and size of Miracles done by him. If We just mediate on Baba, then realize Baba himself is the source of light and you one of the blessed channels to spread that light and to remove darkness from the lives of many through the ultimate knowledge.
Baba never said to follow or practice any ritual like to chant or write any particular Mantra in any special manner. He Said love in your heart is enough for me. If you just say Sai once a day with deep love in your heart for me. That’s enough. So, Don’t think you need to conduct a special prayer for anyone, Baba’s blessings are with you. Whatsoever will happen, will happen for Good only.
I am not wise enough to advice you, So can say only take this as a leela of Sai, But for what, Won’t get into this, as it is between you and Sai.

By remaining silent, inner silence is not obtained, even by remaining lovingly absorbed deep within. Even if one tries to keep complete silence, still it does not help with cleansing just like if volume on a tape played can be fully decreased to zero, but inside there is that tape(mind) still running. If one tries to silent their mind then one can automatically keep silence but if one tries to keep silence outwardly, mind will not get attuned to silence.

Even one gets all the kingdom of this world and other realms even then hungry persons hunger is not gone.
Even if one ties himself with ropes of 5 senses forecefully and even if someone tries to keep barth(hunger strike) to control their mind. With only naam, bhuk(hunger of desires, vices) can only be negated.
