finest execution. The aim of life as being devotion and the realisation
of God is emphasised. The whole of this Purana is a continuous hymnology
on a spirited form of ardent love of God, sung in a variety of ways through
history, mythology, illustration and philosophy The discourses which comprise
this book were given by Worshipful Sri Swami Krishnanandaji Maharaj during
Sadhana Week in July 1995. In these daily talks Swamiji presented the essence
of the Srimad Bhagavata in his own characteristic style, interspersing in-depth
and illumining interpretation with stories and narrations. This book is a treasure
of knowledge presented in a form which is enjoyable and easy to understand

Divine Granth SHIVA MAHA PURANA
in the Forum ........
so that those interested devotees can perform the
Parayana this divine granth during this auspicious
Chaturmaas and have the
BLESSINGS OF LORD SHIVA
AND
LORD VISHNU BHAGWAN FOREVER ....

Please note that THIS POST IS solely to spend some time
with the DIVINE .
It's up to you

DECIDE YOURSELF WHETHER TO PARTICIPATE  ....
there is absolutely NO COMPULSION .....

THE SHIVA MAHA PURANA:

The Shiva Purana has twenty-four thousand shlokas. 
These are divided into six samhitas or sections. 

The names of the sectiosn are jnana samhita, vidyeshvara samhit,
kailasa samhita, sanatkumar samhita, vayaviya samhita and
dharma samhit. 

Each samhita is further subdivided into chapters (adhyaya). 

Jnana samhita has seventy-eight chapters, vidyeshvara samhita sixteen,
kailasa samhita twelve, sanathkumar samhila fifty-nine,
 vayaviya samhita thirty and dharma samhita sixtyfive. 

The Shiva Purana was recited by Vedavyasa’s disciple Romaharshana,
alternatively, Loma-harshana.

Kindly take note of the following:

1.  The Divine Granth THE SHIVA MAHA PURANA  must be read sincerely, with devotion
     and with Complete Physical and Mental Purity & with Fresh Mind.
2.  Wherever you read, the Place of reading must be neat and
     clean. The ideal place is home temple or in a temple.
3.  Always complete the chapter in one sitting
4.  Whenever you do parayana of any DIVINE GRANTH, if you cannot fast,
     throughout the prayana period, PLEASE TAKE ONLY SATVIK AAHAAR
5.  Read with Shraddha. Read with Bhakti

Our humble suggestion is to those taking out time and perform the parayana
to please acknowledge the same in this thread.
