Procedure and Information on THURSDAY GROUP PARAYAN:

Shri Govind Raghunath Dabolkar alias Hemadpant is the author of SAI SATCHARITRA, Dablokhar’s poetic
work runs into fifty three Chapters, modeled on the EKNATHI BHAGAVATH, containing more than nine
thousand ovis or verses. Every chapter is a mixture of philosophy, anecdotes and teachings. Shri. Hemadpant
had the privilege to compose in MARATHI, SRI SAI SATCHARITRA, the GITA for SAI DEVOTEES. The copyright of the Sai Satcharita belongs to Shri Saibaba Sansthan, Shirdi

In later years SAISATCHARITA was made available in ENGLISH & other INDIAN LANGUAGES, Today
SAISATCHARITRA is available in TEN INDIAN LANGUAGES for the comfort and easy to understanding
in our own mother tongue.

Reading, assimilating and thinking about Sai Satcharitra is an upasana. SAISATCHARTIRA contains the
life and teachings of Sai Baba and is wide and deep as the infinite ocean. All can dive deep into same
and take out precious gems of Sai’s way of living. It tells us of the beautiful qualities of sacrifice, tolerance,
love, care, faith and hope that Baba practiced and preached. It’s a TREASURE that a SAI DEVOTEE should
possess in their POOJA MANDHIR.

And as is said “you become what you think”. So the daily reading of Sai’s life, brings to our mind the divine
qualities he possessed, fills our heart with a sense of peace and thus inspires us also to practice those
qualities. We keep him in mind , always and thus try to be like his children, reflecting those qualities..
Would like to share with you what the sufi saint of Punjab, Bulleh Shah sang as a request to the divine,
his deep desire to surrender and be like his Guru…

”jo rang rangaya, ( the colour which you colour me in)
guhura rangaya, ( let that colour be very deep)
Murshid wali laali o yaar (let it be the colour of my Guru/ Guide)”

Any sai devotee should proudly possess SAISATCHARITRA, and have the habit of reading a CHAPTER DAILY
at the morning pooja or before bed and make everyone at home also be a part of it.

On special occasions every year like RAMNAVMI, GURUPOORNIMA, GOKULASHTAMI, BABA’s PUNYATHITHI
one should either do SAPTAH PARAYAN or one/three day PARAYAN of SAISATCHARITRA.

We, SAI FAMILY MEMBERS here have been fortunate enough by BABA’s grace to have THURSDAY GROUP
PARAYAN of SAISATCHARITRA,

By doing PARAYAN with dedication and devotion we learn to understand :

- the life and teachings of SHRI SAIBABA

- we get closer to BABA and remember him always

- we pray for the welfare of our FAMILY

-  we pray for the welfare of SAI FAMILY

OUR THUSDAY GROUP PARAYAN is organized in such a way that CHAPTERS are allotted to those who are
interested and one complete PARAYAN (52 Chapters) is done by all of us on that PARTICULAR THURSDAY.
Since we are closely knit SAI FAMILY from  nook and corner of INDIA and across the globe, the CHAPTERS
can be read any time between 6am – 9 pm IST and I take care to conclude with the GROUP PARAYAN with
AARTHI at the temple or at home.

The following THURSDAY’s GROUP PARAYAN will be posted on FRIDAY / SATURDAY. You are requested to
please find out the CHAPTER allotted to you and reply your confirmation latest by TUESDAY. Please remember
to do the PARAYAN on Thursday and leave a confirmation reply to the effect that you have read the same.

Please bear in your mind even a single person misses to do PARAYAN, you are depriving others of having done
the PARAYAN, meaning even if a single person does not do the PARAYAN the THURSDAY GROUP PARAYAN
is not complete and the sanctity is lost because of that one person.

So once again I emphasize & my humble request to all SAI FAMILY MEMBERS PARTICIPATING in the THURSDAY GROUP PARAYAN is to :

- Please check for your chapter starting from FRIDAY / SATURDAY

- Please confirm your chapter immediately,
  (please don’t give me an opportunity to send reminders for confirmation)

- Having confirmed please, Remember to do PARAYAN on Thursday without fail, in case of emergency,
  please pass it on to one of your family members, so that you don’t deprive of your chance

- Having completed please pass on the confirmation to the effect that you have done the PARAYAN

- Lastly if you are not able to log in for couple of weeks, but will be able to read,
  then please inform me earlier and get your chapters allotted for that particular time,
  but in case you confirm to me that you will read in your absence, ensure to do PARAYAN,
  otherwise you will be a spoilsport of the COMPLETE PARAYAN

THIS YEAR, 2011, it is organized in such a way that we read CHAPTERS starting from 6th October 2011, Vijayadashami -The Day when Baba attained Maha Samadhi, for 52 weeks.

Expecting your sincere cooperation and reply, so that we are more perfect in doing the noble
GROUP PARAYAN on THURSDAY!

Dear SAI Family,

OM SAI RAM!

By the Grace of our beloved Shirdi SAI BABA, We are delighted to announce to start a new Phase of Parayan
in our  Dwarkamai from 6th October 2011, Vijayadashami - The Day When Baba attained Maha Samadhi.

This time, we will do with a purpose. Healing the life of members of our Sai Family who are in deep pain and
need healing with power of combined prayers.

Every Thursday, the Parayan Group would perform parayan for the devotees of this
divine forum who are in grave pain and going through the toughest time of their lives.
The Parayan Group would pray for those specific devotee/s  on that day and complete their
chapter with full dedication and devotion and also indicate the completion of the
Parayan if possible.

Many of you are practitioners of group parayan and aware of the benefits of this. It has such an amazing
multiplier effect, just like the group bhajan and arti singing. Often one transcends the sense of self and feels
light and elevated, much close to the Almighty. And people have often felt this heightened form of energy.
The state of eternal peace and Joy which cannot be described.

I will share a small instance with you. A friend of mine was suffering from brain tumor. While she lay in her
bed, suffering inspite of the radiation therapy, many of her well-wishers , family members and relatives sat
around her, praying together for her healing. And she shared that she actually felt waves of energy around
her, coming to her and making her feel much more at peace and calm. She felt her strength to face the
adversities grow. We have all heard to even doctors resorting to `dua’ when their medicines fail.

So the basic idea is to direct this exponentially multiplied positive energy, generated through the group
effort,  towards those in great need of it. Another step to `share’ what we can. And as is the paradox
of this world…the more you give, the more you get…!!

I request you all to contribute by devoting your time by joining hands in this noble cause.
To participate you can nominate your name in this same post.

Also, those devotees, who would like to join  the Parayan Group to perform prayers and parayan of SSC
for their problems (Kindly ensure this is a Problem and not Desire),
Please send your request in brief in the topic “Request for Group Parayan” which would be
started separately soon in the same section.

So, Dear SAI Family, kindly come forward to participate in this noble cause and
we request all the members who would like to participate in the Group Parayan to kindly
reply soon so that the Forum can start the Group Parayan with a brand new list.

Once Again Kindly note that the Group Parayan with new list will be started from Thursday,
6th October 2011, Vijayadashami - which is Maha Samadhi Day of our beloved BABA.

Let us all pray our Beloved BABA to Bless our Group Parayan to be a  medium  for those
who participate to come closer to Baba, Feel his presence  as well to serve the purpose by
abolishing pain and fear from the life of Devotees for whom Parayan would be Performed!
