Dear Sai Family,

By BABA's BLESSINGS, we have successfully completed 7th Phase of our
Group parayan on 22nd February 2018.

All those who started their parayan from week 1, have completed one cycle.
They have read each chapter, each week completing their cycle.

With the Blessings of BABA, we... piyasoni, saibji, spiritualindia were able to
devote our little time for this noble task till date.
Our humble prostrations at the Lotus Feet of BABA.

Dear All, while discussing about starting next Phase of Group Parayan with
one of the ardent devotee of this Divine Forum, I  received very wonderful
suggestion from him that...

"In the next Phase of Shree Sai Satchartira Paryana, every member
can read one chapter of their choice every Thursday  and share with the
SAI Family, the message conveyed by our Beloved BABA to each one of
us through that chapter ".

Instead of Moderators take lead in allotting the Chapters to the SAI Family
every Thursday, WHY NOT each one of us take the lead and choose one chapter
every Thursday on our own & read and then share the message with the
SAI Family in the Forum.

I felt this a good suggestion, so we welcome feedback from all the members
of this Divine Group. So let's wait  to receive the valuable feedback from the
SAI Family to start with the new pattern of SSC Parayana soon ....

If all are okay for this new pattern I have no problem.
But Sai ,personally I feel it might become chaotic as some don't check , some don't update regularly but they do the parayana . So in such cases what shall we do.if there is proper plan and if all stick to it then it will divine and wonderful.

It's just my personal opinion Sai. Pls don't mind if I have suggested or said anything wrong. Kindly forgive.

स्कूल मे रोज मास्टर जी एक lesson पढ़ाते हैं और Home Work करने को देते हैं, कुछ students तो अपनी ख़ुशी से करते हैं, पर बहुत सारे सिर्फ इसलिए करते हैं, कि अगर नहीं किया तो अगले दिन मास्टर जी से सजा मिलेगी।

तो एक बार भक्तों और बाबा के बीच की औपचारिकता ख़तम कर देखते हैं, कि कितने लोग अपने दिल से उन्हें प्यार करते हैं, कोई मध्यस्थ नही, सिर्फ बाबा और उनके भक्त, खुद किसी भी एक अध्याय का चुनाव करें, ये मानते हुए की बाबा ने खुद उन्हें प्रेरित किया है, इस अध्याय पढ़ने को, फिर अगले सप्ताह उस अध्याय जिसे वो पढ़ चुके हैं, को छोड़ को शेष अध्यायों में से एक चुने और ये क्रम जारी रखें जब तक श्री साई सत्चरित्र के सभी अध्यायों का पठन न कर लें।

ये मेरा निजी मत है, बाकी तो बाबा खुद कर्ता हैं, हम लोग तो निमित मात्र हैं।

Shaivi जी या जो भी ये जिम्मेदारी ले, हर सप्ताह एक thread create करके छोड़ दें, जिसमे भक्त जन अपने अध्याय, अपने अनुभव और उस अध्याय से प्राप्त शिक्षा share कर सकें।

Translation of Saibji's reply

Every day in school the teacher teaches a lesson and gives homework,
some students do it gladly, but too many of them only do it just
because if they didn’t they will get punished by their teacher.

One chapter every week, not every one , but there are sinners like us
who thinksif we don’t read our chapters then maybe we have a sin upon
us or maybe Baba Sai feel bad about it, i mean - not all read willingly,
but some are forced to read as they believe if miss some chapter
Baba may get angry or it would be like committing a sin.

So one time lets end this formalities between Baba and his Bhaktas
and see, like how many people loved him from their heart, no mediator,
only Baba and his devotees , select for any one of the chapters by
themselves, considering Baba himself had motivated them to read this
chapter, and then next week leave the chapter that they’ve already
read before, and choose between the rest of the chapters and continue
this order until all the chapters of Shree Sai Satcharitra have been read.

This is my personal opinion, rest Baba himself is the doer, we are just nothing.

Shaivi ji or whoever takes on the responsibility, create a thread and
leave it there for devotees where devotees can share their chapters,
their experiences and the knowledge gained from those chapters.

May everyone’s life be pleasant and happy by Baba’ grace,

A very good thought and indeed a welcoming change. I do agree with Saibji and it would be interesting to post our lesson we learn every Thursday that Sai Father teaches us through His Divine Charithram. Though I see that there is no compulsion for anyone to post that they have read or what they have read....i only doubt how members like Kalyani from my family who do not know about posting will go about this.

Anyway, I am happy about this worthy change most needed.

What I understand, a question in mind of devotees or members of parayan group or challenge devotees may face to choose a number. Here is few methods, I would like to suggest, If this way of parayan is adopted :

1. Chit method : keep small chits, writing number of all chapters, mix all together, then pick one slip. Number written on chit is number of chapter. After reading destroy this chit and next week choose from remaining chits.
2. Just sit silently, make mind thoughtless, meditate on Baba for few minutes and then think about any number from number of chapters. There would be a number starting flashing in your mind, first dim then gradually appear big & clear. This is chapter number.
3. There are many applications to generate random number, you can use excel or can use https://www.random.org/ website.
4. Or any other method you like.

In meditation mode or computer application, you may get the number you have already read, you can read it again (alongwith other chapter), as if Baba like you to read it again, may be there is some lesson or message for you.

At many places 2 chapters are taken together e.g. 16-17 or 43-44 and 50-51 etc. In such case, you get any number, means read these combined chapters like you get 16 or 17 means 16-17.

Now, Leaving everything in the hands of Sai.

Sai Father graced me this day to start with Chapter 15 in this new Phase of Parayan.

Sai is Omnipresent and omniscient. He catches up our thoughts before we even realise them ourselves. He shows great love to Solkar accepting his thanks and treating him with Sweetest Tea that day...Sai Father knew what Solkarji had abandoned just to save money and have Darshan of Sai Father...

Sai Father is Omnipresent and ever loving ...Praises to Sai always.

First let me thank all the participants and specially the hardworking moderators for their time and efforts. Jai Sai Ram.
It is a good suggestion but the idea is that the whole Sai Sacharitra gets read on that one Thursday. I definitely am open to the idea of everyone choosing their own chapters, the only issue is that what if, all chose their chapters and one or two chapters goes unread? All chapters are important in our book the whole book gets read by all of us when chapters are allocated. If we are left to choose the whole book may not get read on that day that's all other than this concern its fine to choose the chapters. Moreover if people choose each chapter the moderators will have to put in more efforts and time to see who has confirmed which chapter and ask members to read chapters that are left out.

It has been quite a well since I last visited here.
I still remember my first days and the people I had met then.
Some of them are still with me. Some how actually omproved. There was this one boy depressed and contemplating suicide due to no job. Today he is happily married and doing really well in a job of that he loves.
So this Darakamayi has truly been watching over it's kids

I was going through this string and I just wanted to share my 2 bits on this New Avatar of Parayan.

For me the Old Avatar was an exciting wait. I used to keep wondering what lesson Baba wanted me to learn for the week.
And so many times it used to happen that the chapter I read was the answer to the problem I had in my mind.
Indeed his ways are unknown.
It was like Baba himself coming and talking to me through the chapter.
I am not so much of a disciplined person so the chapter allotment was kind of good for me as I had committed myself.

If not for that then maybe I would not really want to read as compared to other modes of worship.

Shaiviji and Priyaa have been doing great job with the Parayan for quite a few years now. Baba bless both.

Regarding this New Avatar, I feel it is good, (although I am pretty lazy so counting on me would be a  mistake ).
I feel readers should be divided into 3/4 groups and chapters divided equally.
Eg.: Group 1 - 1-17 etc. within the group let them pick the chapters. 2/3 weeks later roll the chapters among the groups.
So that no one re-reads the same chapter.
This will ensure that the Parayan was completely done by reading all the chapters on the same day.
The whole point of the Parayan is that Shree Sai Satcharitra is read on same day.
That is what needs to be ensured.
Sharing of Bodh from the Chapter should be voluntary. I think. Some may not be able to convey what they want to say, some may not have the time.
I can understand the purpose behind sharing the meaning, however, sometimes we are so entangled in our lives that we may not be able to comprehend it then and there.

My Apologies if I have over written.

Rest Shaiviji is more experienced than me and more dedicated to this and Baba then I can ever be.

Dear Sanjay,

You have raised very valid and genuine question. It is true that Parayan must be conducted in group and all chapters required to be read simultaneously by all members of group to complete Parayan. If any chapter is left unread, Parayan is not considered completed. For last many years we the members of this divine forum were practicing the same. But, this is a special year. 100th year of our beloved Baba’s Mahasmadhi. Like Krishna’s love for each Gopi’s (divine souls) was equal and he never discriminated among them, so Baba Sai loves all of his devotees. So, May be this time, he wants each of his devotee to complete Parayan at his or her level. Neither a ritual nor a formality, only pure love and devotion towards Baba Sai. Usually this could be a golden chance for any such forum to celebrate (or encash) this special moment, a special Parayan could be organized. But, instead, Baba decided to lead thyself. So No Group, but he loves to interact and bless his each devotee in thy personal capacity. To create a unique experience for his pure devotees, what I understand from this leela.

Further Love knows no limit, there would be many, who would be happy, as no chapter allocated, so they have reason for not reading the Sri Sai Satcharitra. But, who loves Baba Sai, will depend upon none, they will find their own way to reach the Baba Sai’s divine abode. Devotion is personal matter, so devotees has to decide at their own, which way they want to go, everyone is free to choose his or her path.

I know, that any devotee who even once in his or her life, has loved Baba, can never be away from Baba for long. Sai is path and Sai is destination.
