A devotee Nilkanth Ramchandra Sahsrabuddhe had good fortune to be at Shirdi for good many number of days in company of Sai baba. He narrates his experiences...

    For 3 days in Shirdi, I continuously contemplated on the saying of Saints "APNA SARIKHE KARITAT" viz. "They make people like themselves". Meanwhile Shama asked baba about when i would be given the order to go back home. Baba replied, "He wants to make me get up from my place & occupy the same immediately. What can i do? That work is of great Saburi (patience)"

Once at the time of afternoon aarti, one householder devotee had brought prasad of sweetmeat, and while Baba was distributing it, a thought arose in my mind, whether i will get it or not. No sooner did this thought come to me,  baba signalled with his hands, "Nothing for you" & smiled & then gave me the prasad.
