In a TV program a group of 5-year-old children were asked what is the meaning of life. One little boy said: "The meaning of life is to stay on this earth and not just fly around somewhere out there, and sometimes I throw up easily."
It is boring to be a priest. They have to dig people into the ground and fry them in the oven.
Johanna, 6 years
Grandfather sleeps under a gravestone. We pad him on the stone and once we dug bulbs into the ground so that he´d have something to chew.
Siri, 5 years
Jeesus lived in a faraway country. Grandmother has been there wailing about a wall that is awfully old and almost collapsing.
Jon, 6 years
Happened once upon a time after Sunday school:
"Mother, where are my socks?"
"Oh, I don´t know, where did you leave them?"
"I don´t remember! Guide me!"
"Mother, mother, does God ever die?"
"Oh, no, God is eternal."
"Oh, good, then we have nothing to worry about!"
Children were arguing. The younger brother did not find any way to silence his big sister who was bullying him, until he shout out at the top of his lungs: "I will surely tell about you to Jesus!"
The family was playing Alias. Four-year-old Juuli wanted to play along. The question was what do you give to a baby in christening. After a while Juuli stated: "Towel!"
A five-year-old girl was watching an old black and white movie with her mother. After watching the film for a while she asked her mother: "How did it feel to live when everything was black and white?"
"When people grow old, they do not tell each other any more that they love each other. Then they ask, if you want cookies with your coffee or not."
Tord, 7 years
"When a person dies, the soul moves to the next in line."
Helena, 6 years
"It is stupid that we have to die. In my opinion, people should not be changed all the time. I think that now that we are here, we stay!"
Johannes, 8 years
"The priest asks, do you want to marry the person standing next to you or somebody else. Most often there is no one else standing there, so you answer ’I will’."
Emil, 7 years
Mother was at a cafe with her 4-year-old son. A familiar priest came into the cafe. He asked the son, if the boy knew that he was a priest. The son replied: "Oh yes, and we are human beings!"
Neea, 2.5 years old, was looking at the church tower in awe and asked her mother, photographer by occupation: "Mom, is that where they zoom at Jesus?"
Camilla, who was 2 years old, was watching the Pope’s funeral on television. After following the procedures silently for a while she remarked: "Grandma, there are a lot of Santa’s Little Helpers there!"
A 7-year-old boy stated with conviction at the religion class: "When I grow up, I will inseminate and fill the earth!"
On the drive back from Sunday school, Jenni, 4 years old, saw a jet flying high up at the sky. She exclaimed to the rest of her family cheerfully: "Look! The Father of Heaven flies!"
"Universe never ends. Or then it ends, where God´s home begins, right there next to the fence."
Rasmus, 7 years
"No, no, it was like this: When Josef bought the donkey, Mary was so glad that she became pregnant without anyone helping."
Jossan, 7 years
"Jesus died on Long Friday. When he was alive, he always rushed the disciples, but when he was dead, they laid themselves down. That is why it is called Long Friday. They cried, but they were also happy to be laying down for a while."
Kevin, 8 years
"Someone threw a stone on his grave. That is why Jesus rose up and became a Jew. That started the general ascension."
Sofia, 9 years
"It may be that God is an aunt. Maybe she wears clouds as her skirt."
Karoline, 8 years
"Moses is the toughest of all. Moses can walk under the sea. Allah only has a magic carpet."
Daniel, 7 years
"Jesus believed in God so heavenly much that his friends thought he was a bit silly. Then they did unnice things to him, putting him hanging at the cross and some other things, too."
Nicole, 7 years
"Angels are quite ordinary in heaven. Very unordinary would be men up there."
Zindy, 7 years
"Heaven is also abroad. If you do not behave well, you cannot get to heaven. But I don´t really care so much, I like staying at home."
Nina, 7 years
"I have never seen an angel, but I have seen a dentist."
Mimmi, 7 years
"Being an angel is normally an occupation for women."
Louise, 7 years
Three-year-old Jasse was at the airport watching planes with his grandfather and uncle, and he saw parachuters for the first time in his life. At home he wanted to share with his mother what he saw: "Mother, I saw at the airport those... I saw them... them..."
"What did you see?", asked mother.
"Them... them... heaven jumpers!"
