  • The Gift

    If you would have it so,
    I will end my singing.

    If it sets your heart aflutter,
    I will take away my eyes from your face.

    If it suddenly startles you in your walk,
    I will step aside and take another path.

    If it confuses you in your flower-weaving,
    I will shun your lonely garden.

    If it makes the water wanton and wild,
    I will not row my boat by your bank.

    - Rabindranath Tagore (1913-1941)

  • Cradle Song

    From groves of spice,
    O'er fields of rice,
    Athwart the lotus-stream,
    I bring for you,
    Aglint with dew,
    A little lovely dream.

    Sweet, shut your eyes,
    The wild fire-flies
    Dance through the fairy neem;
    From the poppy-bole
    For you I stole
    A little lovely dream.

    Dear eyes, good night,
    In golden light
    The stars around you gleam;
    On you I Press
    With soft caress
    A little lovely dream.

  • Flower

    Pluck this little flower and take it, delay not! I fear lest it
    droop and drop into the dust.

    I may not find a place in thy garland, but honour it with a touch of
    pain from thy hand and pluck it. I fear lest the day end before I am
    aware, and the time of offering go by.

    Though its colour be not deep and its smell be faint, use this flower
    in thy service and pluck it while there is time.

  • The Snake Charmer

    Whither dost thou hide from the magic of my flute-call?
    In what moonlight-tangled meshes of perfume,
    Where the clustering keovas guard the squirrel's slumber,
    Where the deep woods glimmer with the jasmine's bloom?

    I'll feed thee, O beloved, on milk and wild red honey,
    I'll bear thee in a basket of rushes, green and white,
    To a palace-bower where golden-vested maidens
    Thread with mellow laughter the petals of delight.

    Whither dost thou loiter, by what murmuring hollows,
    Where oleanders scatter their ambrosial fire?
    Come, thou subtle bride of my mellifluous wooing,
    Come, thou silver-breasted moonbeam of desire!

  • Ant: Glory

    Ant, my ant,
    In you my heart beholds
    The glory of the Supreme.
    Tiniest in size, you house the dream
    Of the Omnipotent.
    To me you are extremely important,
    Because you represent
    One extremity of God,
    His message of smallness;
    In another word, His greatness.

  • A Child's Imagination

    O thou golden image,
    Miniature of bliss,
    Speaking sweetly, speaking meetly!
    Every word deserves a kiss.

    Strange, remote and splendid
    Childhood's fancy pure
    Thrills to thoughts we cannot fathom,
    Quick felicities obscure.

    When the eyes grown solemn
    Laughter fades away,
    Nature of her mighty childhood
    Recollects the Titan play;

    Woodlands touched by sunlight
    Where the elves abode,
    Giant meetings,Titan greetings,
    Fancies of a youthful God.

    These are coming on thee
    In thy secret thought;
    God remembers in thy bosom
    All the wonders that He wrought.

  • Here is an inspirational poem for all of you…

    Do it Now!

    If you have hard work to do,
    Do it now,
    Today the skies are clear and blue,
    Tomorrow clouds may come in view.
    Yesterday is not for you;
    Do it now.

    If you have a song to sing,
    Sing it now,
    Let the tones of gladness ring
    Clear as song of bird in spring,
    Let each day some music bring;
    Sing it now.

    If you have some kind words to say,
    Say them now.
    Tomorrow may not come your way;
    Do a kindness while you may,
    Loved ones will not always stay;
    Say them now.

    If you have a smile to show,
    Show it now.
    Make hearts happy, roses grow,
    Let the friends around you know
    The love you have before they go;
    Show it now.

  • जय सांई राम।।।

    Ek andhera lakh sitare,
    Ek nirasha lakh sahare
    Sabse badi saugaat hai jeevan,
    Nadaan hai jo jeevan se hare

    एक अन्धेरा लाख सितारे,
    एक निराशा लाख सहारे,
    सबसे बड़ी सौगात है जीवन,
    नादान है जो जीवन से हारे,

    Duniya ki yeh bagiya aisi ,
    Jitney kaante phool bhi utne
    Daaman mai khud aa jayenge,
    Jinki taraf tu haath pasaare;

    दुनियां की ये बगिया ऐसी
    जितने कांटे फूल भी उतने,
    दामन में खुद आ जाएंगे
    जिनकी तरफ तू हाथ पसारे

    Beete huey kal ki khatir tu
    Aane wala kal mat khona
    Jaane kaun kahan se aaker,
    Raahein teri fir se saanvare

    बीते हु्ए कल की खातिर तू
    आने वाला कल मत खोना
    जाने कौन कंहा से आकर
    रांहें तेरी फिर से संवारे

    Dukh se agar pahchan na ho tou,
    Kaisa such aur kaisi khushiyan
    Tufanon se hi tou ladker,
    Lagte hain sahil kitne pyare

    दुख से अगर पहचान ना हो तो
    कैसा सच और कैसी खुशियां
    तूफान से ही तो लड़कर
    लगते है साहिल कितने प्यारे।

    Ek andhera lakh sitare,
    Ek nirasha lakh sahare
    Sabse badi saugaat hai jeevan,
    Nadaan hai jo jeevan se hare

    एक अन्धेरा लाख सितारे
    एक निराशा लाख सहारे,
    सबसे बड़ी सौगात है जीवन,
    नादान है जो जीवन से हारे,

    अपना सांई प्यारा सांई सबसे न्यारा अपना सांई।
    ॐ सांई राम।।।
    अपना साँई प्यारा साँई सबसे न्यारा अपना साँई - रमेश रमनानी

  • Determination

    Determination, determination
    What is it? Who has it?
    You have it and you know it
    You’ve had it all the time
    You’ve worked hard with it

    It helped you further and further
    But your determination gave you support
    through all these hard times
    It helped you once and
    It always will, too

    You tried and tried, and did it
    You work harder and harder and you get better
    You swim and swim with self-confidence
    You go on and on till you reach your goal
    We all are waiting for you till you come

    You swim on and on till you succeed
    But now we need to wait no longer
    You have come, and you have won but
    You are always our idol
    Because of your determination.
