alone brings only shallow reward; serving others creates a deep
well of contentment.

PEACE

Peace is the original quality of the self. In its purest form,
peace is inner silence. It consists of positive thoughts, pure feelings
and good wishes. To have peace you need patience. When you are
peaceful, you create an atmosphere of peace. Peace in the world can
only be realized when there is peace in the mind of each human being.

There is happiness when each moment is used in a
worthwhile way. Happiness is such nourishment that it is greatly
empowering. It makes difficult things easy and heavy things light.
To remain happy and share happiness with others is a great act of
charity. Once you are happy, then no matter what happens,
never let your happiness go.

Feeling Great

Feeling great is about feeling and operating at my best.
When I feel great, I feel full of life, I feel positive and invincible.

How do I begin to feel great?

Be the same inside and outside:
If my inner world that is my thoughts, feelings,
attitudes are in order and harmony then my outer life, that
 is in my actions, words and relationships will be the same.

To make the inside and outside the same ask yourself:
Do I really need to think?
Could I have spoken in a better way?
Do I need to do that action?

Changing the trend:
We cannot feel great if we are the victims of habits.
We have bad habits and we go through life in an ordinary
way without thinking about anything.

Real freedom begins with me:
I cannot blame others and I must not become
a slave to what they are doing to me. Others will do what they
wish to do and exist as they life to but I choose to be a master
and change the way I respond. My life is in my hands.

Observation:
Observation how your inner world functions. When
I see myself as I am, I accept myself as I am and then I can begin
to create peace inside. When there is peace – hen positivity follows.

Stability:
When my mood fluctuates, sometimes peaceful and
sometimes not, others are never sure how to deal with me. Then
they cannot feel great. I must help others feel great by being stable.

The keys to feeling great

Enthusiasm:
The master key to feeling great. Enthusiasm keeps the
self positive and above the pull of negativity. Enthusiasm creates
faith in the reality of other possibilities. It stops you from being
stuck in your old thinking.
Enthusiasm comes from a faith in the goodness of life and the original
goodness of the self and others. From the faith that no matter what
happens somewhere there is benefit. Enthusiasm unclogs a blocked
heart, a heart that is stuck with feelings of hurt, rejection ….

A positive and hopeful approach (optimism):
Enthusiasm makes my approach positive and hopeful.
A positive and hopeful approach knows that even when all doors
are closed there is a way out.

An optimist does not ignore the reality and consequences
of negativity but because they hold onto hope they do not despair or
panic. They have gentle determination. Such people combine the art
of making things happen with the ability things to happen.

Contentment:
Contentment is another key to feeling great. Contentment
 is when someone appreciated where he/she has reached and values
 their efforts yet realize that there is more to learn and keep themselves
open to that new learning.

Contentment comes from a deep gratitude for the things life give us.
It comes from a heartfelt thanks that God has given us the capacity
to learn and exist meaningfully.
It comes from humility – The openness to receive new signals.
It comes from simplicity – because it is the simple things in life
that create wonder.

Why do we stop feeling great?
We forget who we are. When we forget who we are
we rely on external people and achievements to make us feel we
are something. This dependence makes us lose the ability to feel great.
When we forget who we are – we forget who others are. Then
there is lack of respect.

How can we reverse this?

First step: Remember who you are – a tiny point of spiritual energy.
Your original blueprint is peace – serenity.

Let go of all the substitutes: We replace
real things with false things. We replace love with attachment, inner
beauty with the makeup of outer beauty, inner strength with the
power of position.

Eventually we become addicted to false things. We then become
mistrustful and defensive against all those who have sold us these
false things. In such a state how can we feel great?

Be a child and master:
As a child I remain open and trusting: I listen.
As a master, I have learned from experiences and realize their
worth – no matter the type of experience. Learn and let go of the
past. Know that everything has significance. Life is for us, not
against us so we can trust.

Re-connecting with God:
There are now so many ideas and notions about God.
God however is one. He is the Eternal Seed of Life from whom the
tree of Humanity grows. When we understand this we feel great
because God is One but is for all and through the One we, as a
human facility become one. God is the gentle Father, the
embracing Mother – with him we feel safe in the Universe.

Time:
Sometimes, we do not feel great because we feel
that “time” is against us. We rush and are stressed to achieve
anything and everything quickly so much so that there no time
to see our true intention and purpose. So let me make time for
a few seconds to be quite and see why I do what I do. Let me
not be dragged by the hair of a need but be motivated by my
pure intentions. Then I will feel great.

Feeling Great – my personal formula
If I wish to feel great and make others feel great,
I must be honest with myself about the changes that I personally
need to make. To do that:

Step One – Recognition:
I must recognize that I have a re-occurring problem
or upheaval that robs me of my feeing great. It has nothing to do
with external situations but it is an internal problem – an internal
feeling that comes to disturb me again and again. I am responsible
for it. No one else is to blame.

Step Two – Pinpoint:
After recognizing that I have to change something
inside me let me identify what it is. What is the flaw that has
stopped me from feeling great?

Step Three – After indentifying the flaw:
I must detach from it. I see it, accept it, understand it
but I am not it. I am the original pure self. There are no feelings of
guilt or unworthiness but I know that I must take help from the
Supreme Surgeon to operate on it.

Step Four – The Supreme Surgeon
s the most advanced Surgeon because HE does not remove by
cutting out but by dissolving.

Step Five – After the surgery I must
take care. I must not allow any germs of old desires or fears to come
back. I must ask the Surgeons advice on how to remain free and clean
deep decision – I must decide honestly that I do not want it any longer.

Preparation
The five steps that help us to start to feel well again require
the quarantine of silence. Silence heals. But how? Silence is to unplug,
to disconnect from the many sockets that absorb our energy. The
sockets of problems, of worry, of pleasing, of fear, of overload.

Every thought we create is energy and it creates its own
current, whether positive or negative. In quietness, I step inside
and connect to my original quality of peace and I stabilize in the
thought of that original peace. Then slowly, I begin to feel great.
When I truly accept Om Shanti, it is like oxygen entering my mind.

In silence, I can observe my intentions, my motives
and my responses to people and situations. In order to improve
a response and how I relate to others and events, I need  the
discernment to see both what I am doing and what needs to be
changed. Without discernment and a decision to do things differently,
I remain stuck repeating the same mistakes for years.

As well as discernment, in silence I also receive courage from
God that inspires me to make changes in my life. I find that God
is my partner in transformation. It makes me feel great to now that
I am not judged. God’s faith in me enables me to also have faith
in me. I see myself in Gods eyes and I see my future as very bright.
To have someone believe in you not only feels great but supremely
grateful that such pure feelings can come from another to you.
This selfless embrace gives us the power to embrace the
self and others.

Many times we develop negative thinking patterns because
we become frustrated by our own challenges and frequent
adverse situations. Practicing positive thinking allows us to
focus on our strengths and accomplishments and increases
our happiness and motivation. This in turn allows us to spend
more time making progress and less time feeling down and stuck.
Get what you want while maintaining self respect and good relations.

Killers of Happiness:

- Lack of Skill
- Worry Thoughts
- Emotions
- Indecision
- Environment
- Ego
- Jealous

- Lying

Guidelines for Happiness


DEAR MAN MODE - Getting What You Want

DESCRIBE : Describe the situation when necessary.
EXPRESS : Express feelings/opinions about the situation clearly.
ASSERT : Assert your wishes. Ask for what you want.
REINFORCE
: Reward people who respond positively to you
when you ask for something, say no or express an opinion.


STAY MINDFUL: Keep your focus on your objectives in the situation
Maintain your position
APPEAR CONFIDENT: Confident tone of voice, Confident
physical manner, Appropriate eye contacts.
NEGOTIATE : Be willing to give to get offer and ask for
alternate solutions.

GIVE MODEL - Keeping the Relationship
Gentle (Be)
Interested (Act)
Validate
Easy Manner (Use an)

FAST   MODEL -  Maintaining Self-respect
Fair (be)
Apologise if you are wrong
Stick to values

Remember that no one can take away your self-respect unless you give it up.
