    WE FORGET~~~

We quickly forget the stranger whose smile lifted our spirits and helped us get through the day.
We nearly ignore the kind driver who provided us the courtesy of slowing their progress and waving us into their lane.
What would happen if we gave those moments pause? Thanked them silently? Extolled their virtues within ourselves?
Would we become more aware of other people just like them, who, let’s say, make our experience at stores more pleasant? Our phone conversations to customer service departments less stressful? Our meal at a restaurant more enjoyable?
There are so many people who are doing kind things every day. Yet, because there are also those who remind us of past disappointments, or because we are caught up in the chatter of our busy lives, we far too often fail to become an active witness to the thoughtful efforts that the every-day person puts forth.
Although it certainly would be nice if we could expect everyone to treat us with the politeness we desire, we need to recognize that every single person serving us, passing us, moving forward in the world with us; every single person, including us, has personal issues that sometimes interfere with their ability to be as positive as both we and they would prefer.
But if we make a point to NOTICE… If we take even the briefest moment to internally thank those whose attitudes are positive, encouraging, or helpful, a palpable change occurs. Like a refreshing breeze, it passes over us and wafts on to the next person, who is also in need of its restorative powers.
I want to notice. So, today, I am making a list of the many people who have used a funny quip to lighten my spirit at work. I am including those who have paused politely when I crossed the street as a pedestrian, or stood patiently while holding a door. Those who have created a television commercial that made me laugh, or written gentle stories of courage and hope. These kind souls are passing on what they are able. They are sharing the joy and thankfulness they feel today, and by doing so, are offering the same encouragement to us.
Today, I will mentally thank the world for all the little gifts I took for granted when they occurred. And, I am offering this little note as my apology for not noticing and embracing them, the moment they happened.
Tomorrow, I resolve to appreciate them AS they occur, and to pass them on to another!

    Jai Sai Ram~~~

    LIFE~~~ LIVE IT~~~

LIFE!! Life is beautiful. it should be lived at all costs! we find happiness, laughter, sorrows, tears, heartaches, deep blows, jilts,BETRAYAL,  despite all that i find that LIFE is still beautiful..... yes i repeat IT IS BEAUTIFUL..... I accept that at some turns of our life we find it difficult to cope with some kind of a situation, and sometimes get so much depressed with life that we say we wish to end this life, whats the use of being alive....... but after some time we regret having said so and we once again start enjoying this life the way it is!!!.......we then realise that pains and heartaches are for short durations be it tough and killing at the moment it hurts, despite that  life is to be lived and enjoyed each minutes, say each second, every lapse of a moment is precious and should be LIVED..... ASK IT WITH THE PERSON WHO IS SICK AND IS TO BREATH OUT HIS LAST BREATH...... HE IS THE BETTER PLACED TO SAY HOW WONDERFUL IS THIS LIFE WE ARE LIVING.... AND THAT DYING PERSON HOW FAR IS LONGING TO BE BACK TO LIFE TO LIVE IT ONCE MORE......

So friends enjoy life with all that it gives, tears or laughter, accept all and you will find life more beautiful to live it...........................

We human beings have only one life to live; then why not celebrate and enjoy it? All of us are born with valuable gifts to make our lives happy; but we hardly make use of their full potential. If only we realise this, all of us can enjoy life.

Our domain is the present. Let us not allow ourselves to drift into the past, nor should we avoid the realities of the moment by thinking about the future. We know we cannot change the past, but we can ruin the present if  we are not careful. So let us not squander the precious little lifetime given to us by feeling sorry for the past that NEVER returns, or worrying about the future that is UNCERTAIN. Let us try to optimise joy in our lives by focusing on the here and now.

Joyful moments can make a lifetime of happiness; their memories can create a heaven on earth.REMEMBER, we have only one chance to live the happy life of a unique human being and NOBODY gets a second chance!!

THEN WHY NOT CHOOSE TO LIVE A JOYFUL LIFE, AS LONG AS WE LIVE!

    Jai Sai Ram~~~

    A Tragedy or a Blessing?

Years ago in Scotland, the Clark family had a dream. Clark and his wife worked and saved, making plans for their nine children and themselves to travel to the United States. It had taken years, but they had finally saved enough money and had gotten passports and reservations for the whole family on a new liner to the United States.

The entire family was filled with anticipation and excitement about their new life. However, seven days before their departure, the youngest son was bitten by a dog. The doctor sewed up the boy but hung a yellow sheet on the Clarks' front door. Because of the possibility of rabies, they were being quarantined for fourteen days.

The family's dreams were dashed. They would not be able to make the trip to America as they had planned. The father, filled with disappointment and anger, stomped to the dock to watch the ship leave - without the Clark family. The father shed tears of disappointment and cursed both his son and God for their misfortune.

Five days later, the tragic news spread throughout Scotland - the mighty Tittanic had sunk. The unsinkable ship had sunk, taking hundreds of lives with it. The Clark family was to have been on that ship, but because the son had been bitten by a dog, they were left behind in Scotland.

When Mr. Clark heard the news, he hugged his son and thanked him for saving the family. He thanked God for saving their lives and turning what he had felt was a tragedy into a blessing.

Although we may not always understand, all things happen for a reason.

    Appreciating Our Past~~~

It is easy to be negative about past mistakes and unhappiness. But it is much more healing to look at ourselves and our past in the light of experience, acceptance, and growth.

Our past is a series of lessons that advance us to higher levels of living and loving. The relationships we entered, stayed in, or ended taught us necessary lessons.

Some of us have emerged from the most painful circumstances with strong insights about who we are and what we want. Our mistakes? Necessary. Our frustrations, failures, and sometimes stumbling attempts at growth and progress? Necessary too. Each step of the way, we learned. We went through exactly the experiences we need to, to become who we are today. Each step of the way, we progressed. Is our past a mistake? No. The only mistake we can make is mistaking that for the truth.

Today, God, help me let go of negative thoughts I may be harboring about my past circumstances or relationships. I can accept, with gratitude, all that has brought me to today.

    SOMETIME~~~

Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there. They serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson, or help figure out who you are or who you want to become. You never know who these people may be; your roommate, neighbor, professor, long lost friend, lover or even a complete stranger who, when you lock eyes with theirs, you know that very moment that they will affect your life in some profound way.

Sometimes things happen to you and at the time they may seem horrible, painful and unfair, but in reflection you realize that without overcoming those obstacles you would have never realized your potential, strength, willpower or heart.

Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good or bad luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, if they be events, illnesses or relationships, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere. Safe and comfortable, but dull and utterly pointless.

The people you meet who affect your life and the successes and downfalls you experience -- they are the ones who create who you are. Even the bad experiences can be learned from ... those lessons are the hardest and probably the most important ones.

If someone hurts you, betrays you or breaks your heart, forgive them, for they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious about to whom you open your heart.

If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because they are teaching you to love and opening your heart and eyes to things you would have never seen or felt without them.

Make every day count. Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again.

Talk to people you have never talked to before, and actually listen. Let yourself fall in love. Break free and set your sights high. Hold your head up because you have every right to.

Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you either.

You can make of your life anything you wish.

Create your own life and then go out and live it!

    Jai Sai Ram~~~

The Treasure that is each day~~~

Some days there is brilliant sunshine.
Other days there is gentle rain.

Each day has its own special treasure to give.
Each day brings a new, fresh opportunity for living.
Some days will bring unpleasant news,
and other days will bring joyous celebrations.

Every day, in its own way, adds to the overall richness of life.
Take what this day brings and challenge yourself
to see and to live its special value.

For no matter what kind of day this one may be,
the value is most certainly there.
A sturdy and resilient life is built by making
the most of each and every day.

There's something in each one of them
that will surely make you stronger, wiser and more fully alive.

With love and care and real gratitude,
live the treasure that is each day.
In so doing you create a great and meaningful life.

    Begin Again~~~

One of the best things we can do in our lives is this:
    Begin again.

Begin to see yourself as you were
When you were the happiest and strongest you've ever been.

Begin to remember what worked for you
    (and what worked against you),
And try to capture the magic again.

Begin to remember how natural it was when you were a child --
To live a lifetime each day.

Begin to forget the baggage you have carried with you
    For years:
The problems that don't matter anymore,
The tears that cried themselves away,
And the worries that are going to wash away
On the shore of tomorrow's new beginnings.

    Tomorrow tells us it will be here every new day of our lives;
And if we will be wise,
We will turn away from the problems of the past
And give the future -- and ourselves -- a chance
To become the best of friends.
Sometimes all it takes is a wish in the heart to let yourself ..
    Begin again.

"Some people believe in living for today only.

The wiser men have always lived not only for yesterday and today, but also for tomorrow.

Tomorrow will justify today as today explains yesterday.

Therefore, it is good to live today but in a way that one does not die tomorrow.

The essence of humanity or a human being which is the latest development in the process of

evolution of nature, lies in its contribution towards the growth of nature in the fellow beings and

    also all other living creations."

Ten Rules for Taking Back Your Life~~~

The weather is turning from summer into fall and with it comes cooler days, longer nights and an initial surge of hurricanes. But you don't have to see this as all bad news even if the the economy hasn't come back the way most of us would have wanted. Terrorism continues around the world and corporate scandals are still making front page news but I see a positive side.

My personal belief and the belief that you'll find throughout my book is that for every bad thing that happens, there is a corresponding good thing to be found - if you let yourself see it.

Taking back your life is a matter of deciding that you're in the driver's seat, not someone else. It doesn't matter if the economy's bad, you can't go on a super special vacation this year or you are feeling lonely, everything has a positive side. Here are my 'rules' for turning things around for yourself, rather than waiting for something or someone to do it for you.

    Life 'Rules'

Challenge yourself to use every 'bad' thing in your life as a new beginning.

Find the 'good' in everything that you can.

Don't expect the good things to be readily apparent. It may take a few days, weeks or even months before you finally see them.

Allow yourself to realize your true power. This doesn't mean pushing people around, but looking for your hidden skills.

Talk to yourself. Talking to yourself is a very powerful tool to use and it can help you increase your motivation and your ability to stick to a task.

Stop expecting others to solve your problems. Even if you lost your job, it's an opportunity to look in a new direction, to acquire a new skill and to blaze a more pleasurable path in life.

Throw out that 'yes, but' expression from your life. It's just a way of keeping yourself stuck in the mud.

Take a good hard look at what you'd really like in life and sit down and begin making a list that outlines the steps you need to take. Not everyone needs to go to college to be happy. Find out where your happiness lies, if you don't want to go back to school. Abraham Lincoln did just fine with his self-learning plan.

Beware of the negative people in your life. Pointing out the problems is fine, but some people only see doom and gloom and they can't be very helpful, unless you find that helpful.

Remember that every road has unexpected turns and that any plan must be one that allows for some give and take. If there's one word for your plan to take back your life, let it be 'flexible' and go from there.

    Jai Sai Ram~~~

    Share your Happiness~~~

Share your happiness with others. Buddha reminds, thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared. To some happiness is a state of mind. Remember happiness doesn't depend upon who you are or what you have it depends solely on what you think. Mahatma Gandhi ji agrees, Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.

Oftentimes it takes a light tap on the shoulder or a slap in the face to put things in perspective and bring a brighter note to our seemingly difficult times. However, when you share your problems they are reduced and when you share your happiness it increases. it is said that the happiest thing in the world is to share your happiness.

     1. Figure out what is important to you. Do you value a certain kind of job, material things, a relationship, time alone, time with others, time to relax, time to be creative, time to read, time to listen to music or time to have fun?

    2. To be happy, you have to make happiness a priority. Decide to make more time in your life to do more of what is important to you and makes you feel happier.

    3. Start with little things and work up. Little things might be reading for 15 minutes, taking a walk, calling a friend.

    4. Focus on what is positive. In a journal, write down as many positive things as you can think of about yourself, other and life in general. Keep it handy to read over, and continue adding to it.

    5. Appreciate what is working in your life.& In the major areas of your life your health, job, love life, friends, family, money and living situation what is going well?

And to increase your happiness just share it with people around you. This will not only make you happy but also help you make life of others happier.

So keep smiling and stay happy. Don't forget to share your happiness with others because that will make them happy too.

    Jai Sai Ram~~~
