OM SAI RAM!!!

What is the difference between
Moha (attachment) and Mamtaa (a mother’s love)?

Guruji: See, a mother’s love is permanent, it never goes away.

What is attachment? When (a mother’s) love makes us blind,
then that is attachment. Suppose a mother’s son is not qualified
to become the Chief Minister of a state, and the son also does not
want to become the Chief Minister, but the mother forces the son to
become the Chief Minister because she is unable to recognize that
he is not the right person for the job, then this is attachment.

What King Dhritarashtra felt towards his son Duryodhana was attachment.

On the other hand, the love of Mother Yashoda towards Lord Krishna was
nothing but purely a mother’s love for her child.

Attachment gives you misery because it blinds you. When you get entangled
in attachment, you overlook the person’s true capability and what they deserve.

Mamtaa means having the feeling of 'Mine'.
So, your motherly love should expand and it should be for everyone else.

Lord Krishna says in the Gita,
'Yes, I do have attachment also, but it is equal towards all beings'.
Samo 'ham sarva-bhuteshu na me dveshyo 'sti na priyah.
Ye bhajanti tu mam bhaktya mayi te teshu cha-api aham'.
(9.29)

This is a very unique quality and only Lord Krishna can speak like this.
A normal person can get very attached to one person. But when a person says,
'I have that same strong attachment towards all beings', then that is unique.
So Lord Krishna presents attachment also in a positive way.

Very good....
i really appreciate most of your posts.....
Actually only a mahapurush( like the great bhagats of our history ) must have that compassion towards people, u see we are only sadhak so if we start loving the world,it will turn to be a disaster for our sadhna.... lord dutt says a sadhak should be ALONE .......
Swami girishanand ji says that a mahatma told him:
दया बिन साधू कसाई
पर दया करे तो आफत आई।
Its very practical thing that is to be kept among sadhaks only..... we are very prone to net of maya...he also says a great thing that is too true ,:-
you must be knowing the story of जड़भरत और मृग in bhagwat katha , how bharat ji wasted his austerities for a deer.(but then got mukti after two births) this story is interpreted by him as that we sadhaks have a lot of compassion दया in our heart(haaa  haa daya k sagar pyaare sai jo is dil m baithe hain  :-*)because of our bhakti but that should be guided by our guru...we see others' matters only when we are बहिर्मुख ....
When i frstly started reading shashtras i had this question that does hindu dharm says to love all or to be alone and keep trying to attain enlightenmnt....
And a very secret truth i came to know through sri mad bhagwat parayan, just a week back, a real secret one is, that what a mother feels for a child is very necessary for continuation of वंश so its all because of sri Krishna's yogmaya  i.e. if a mother doesn't feel extreme love fr the child, she won't tk so much of care of her child as she does because of lord's yogmaya....(but that is ,unfortunately happening nw in kaliyug)
But in the end i must say wht baba has told, that if parents don't prepare their child for salvation i.e. obviously by teaching them about bhakti, then they suffer a lot, they hv incured a big sin nd they suffer in narak...(i personally feel ,they should )
World have so many नास्तिक nd if,  we feeling compassionate, try to tell them importance of bhakti, that will ruin our mental peace and time.....
If one have read EKNATHI BHAGWAT , with permission of his guru nd with guru's grace, trust me he will feel shame if a single thought of moh mamta hovers ovr his mind bcz after all its always shameful for us to not to have vairagya....we all are sadhaks .... & in every case attachment is avoidable....
In eknathi bhagwat lord krishna is extremely against worldly attachments.... eknathi is lord krishna speaking udhhv geeta though Eknath maharaj.....
I love a line from it nd i always remember it :
 'विषय की चर्चा टट्टी के समय होने वाली आवाज के समान बिलकुल व्यर्थ हैं'

विषय * is everything except god n guru......
This path is always extreme...
But yes i admit everybody have different experiences in sadhna like mine is focused greatly on non-attachment...
So others must share their experience too.

BTW thanx for posting so many stories n etc.... you all are doing a great job...

  • OM SAI RAM!!!

A lovely little boy was holding two apples with both hands.

His mother came in and softly asked her little son with a smile:
Betu, could you give your maa one of your two apples?

The boy looked up at his mother for some seconds,
then he suddenly took a quick bite on one apple,
and then quickly on the other.

The mother felt the smile on her face freeze.
She tried hard not to reveal her disappointment.

Then the little boy handed one of his bitten apples to his mother,
and said: maa, here you are. This is the sweeter one...........

    No matter who you are,
    how experienced you are,
and how knowledgeable you think you are,
    always delay judgment.
Give others the privilege to explain themselves.
What you see may not be the reality.
    Never conclude for others.

    Bilkul sahi kaha ,
Actually humara experience jesa hota h vesa hi conclusion hota h, like mujhe agr sirf bhkt log hi milte h to mujhe lgega kalyug kaha h , yha to bht bhkt hain  ...  but jise bhgwaan ko gaali dene wale hi milte h uske liy ghor kalyug hai.

Ye Narad muni thoda damdaar lagta hai. He has good understanding of spiritual science. We need more such Narad munis to convey humanity the message of God.
