Sairam! Sai baba's philosophy is easy to grasp even by a lay man. Even complex philosophies were taught to ordinary people by suitable examples by Baba. We have read in Sai Sat Charita several such episodes. The rich man who wanted "Brahma Jnana" was given a subtle and suitable lesson. He was attached to his money. When Baba was frantically trying to get a hand loan of Rs.5/-, this rich man was keeping quiet without volunteering to offer Rs.5/- to Baba, though he had a bundle of currency notes worth Rs.250/- in his pocket. It is really funny that such a man wanted "Brahma Jnana" from Baba. Baba revealed to him when he was impatient, that getting Brahma Jnana is not that easy. One has to sacrifice Five essential things: The five senses, etc., The rich man returned wiser. All those who have assembled in the Dwaraka Mai at that time were treated with rich lessons from Saibaba from this episode. One must be earnest if we one want to tread the path of spirituality. He must detach himself from the worldly relationships and desires. He should have developed distaste to this mundane life. Likewise Baba has given a long lecture. Only when there is sufficient "Vairagya"(detachment), one can enter into the realm of spirit. Ego and selfishness are the two obstructions one has to pass over. Sai Sat charita is a GEM. Dive deep into the lessons it conveys and enjoy the grace of Baba. Sairam.
