Sairam,
I am a new member to sai group. To all those who have intended to start saivrat.  My prayers on behalf of u all to sainath.  I have done this 9 wk vrat and have also motivated my friends by the grace of baba.

I have a question, why should ladies not worship baba on the forbidden days.  I consider baba as my father /grand father I don't want to stay away from his sight, or stop myself from keeping naivedhyam to my sairam.  If I don't keep myself away frm my father/grandfather then why frm my sainath.  I have been advised by one of my senior  and a very sincere devotee of sairam that they never stop sai pooja just for the reason that she was not supposed to and they just keep doing as a normal day.  Is there anyone who supports this view.

It is very interesting that somebody has raised this question. I do not completely understand the reason why women are treated with indifference during those days and prevented from worshipping god. How can Sai who never even flinched for a second to get service from a Leper devotee, a severly diseased person have any problems with women worshipping him during so called "forbidden days".

Personally I think it is very unfair for women to be treated that way and they should have the full right to do Sai pooja. I am very sure all my Sai wants is faith and devotion no matter where you are located or what you are going through in life.

I am a male indian and married and we never have this type of different behaviour during those days etc in my home. I support my wife in every way possible and though she herself is not a Sai devotee. If he was one I would not stop her from doing pooja.

Of course I do respect people's sentiments and we still would not go to Temples etc because people still have these beliefs and we respect what people believe which includes my parents. But we do what we can do at home and I totally stand by it. I do not understand the "dogma" and I dont think any body can convince me that there is any scientific reasoning for all this "crap".

jai sai ram,a verry good question ,our elders had orderd that those four days we should not doany type of aupicious things ,if we try to analaise this we can think that when we go to toilet for nature call we do clean ourself and enter thepooja that way it may not be possible for us in those fourdays may  be that is why our elders had made a rule not to do pooja or any auspicious things in those days ,this my view regarding this custom, please try not to break this ,ask any other member of your family ,or any friend of yours to perform pooja in those days, sai ram
