Sadguru Sainath has left no institutions behind Him. Neither did He appoint any successor to His mission. I speak from my tomb, He said. He has been doing so, through some of His blessed children, time and again. Sai Baba's apostles have appeared on earth from time to time, from all religions and places, all walks of life, with the holy mission of spreading Sai message and His sweet love towards His children. These apostles have brought great solace to the spiritually deprived as well as to the materially aspiring. Some of the apostles are well known to the world, thanks to their work and the other's commitment to highlight their mission. Sai Vichaar would like to present and highlight those apostles and let us on this beautiful Thursday remember with love and reverence the services of these great men. In this week, let us know more about Sri Pratti Narayana Rao, the writer of Sri Sai Satcharitha in Telugu, the book that is revered by scores of Telugu speaking Sai devotees all over the world.

Sri Pratti Narayanarao hails from Ichhapuram town in Srikakulam district, in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. He is the eldest son of Sri P. Kamayya and Srimathi Ramaratnam. Sri Pratti Narayanarao left to Shirdi in the year 1950. He procured a job in Mumbai by Baba's grace, where he used to get Rs.500 per month. In the year 1953 Baba appeared in his dream and asked him to go to the city of Secunderbad, A.P. and translate Sri Sai Satcharitra from English to Telugu. He advised to approach Sri Papayya the chief engineer in public works department. Pratti Narayanarao got financial help from Sri Papayya, moral support from Sri GVR Naidu and the help for printing the book from Sri Chanda Narayana Shresti. Sri Narayanarao gave more than one hundred lectures on Shirdi Sai in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Karnataka. After performing his untiring service at the lotus feet of His master, Sri Narayana Rao merged in Sai at the age of 56 years.

Feature of the week: How Baba does it?

Faith in Saibaba slowly leads one to believe that Baba is behind the things done or undone. This realization works easy when the things happen to one's satisfaction while it falters if things are not pleasing. The path to the complete surrender at Sadguru's lotus feet chops away the difference between the pleasant and unpleasant.

If one completely understands how Baba's intent or sankalpa translates to tangible actions to its minutest details, contentment naturally fills in the heart and as the consequence equanimity. Rare and great are such souls. Or, if one would say that somehow Baba will do it, is indicative of a blind faith in Sadguru's disposition. This is a feeling that rain or shine, it is Baba! Any trace of ignorance in this regard will be washed away in the constant company of the Sadguru. But judgments of others actions such as "what does he or she think he or she is doing? Its all Baba's doing", is blatant arrogance. One can easily understand this feeling with a little bit of contemplation. These thoughts should be nipped in the bud, as they are signs of spiritual falling.

Baba didn't materialize anything out of thin air. Baba's "miracles" happen through people and situations in our surroundings in the most inconspicuous ways. This truth is articulated in the most eloquent way by Sri Sarathbabuji as follows: "Miracles of Sai do not take place as something falling from the sky. We experience it through mercy, compassion, and protection from those around us in a natural way. We pray to Baba, "Baba! I need money". I am in difficulties". We offer naivedya to Baba and go to bed, but we do not see Baba keeping a lakh rupees under the pillow! Someone will come to us and suggest a solution to our problem. Baba Himself said, "Not a single leaf moves without my order". When the wind blows, the leaves on the tree move. When even the movement of a leaf from an inanimate tree requires Baba's order, His intent and grace, how can we think that everything is in our hands? When this awareness crops in us, the ego that makes us think, "We are doing something, we have to do it, we have to accomplish and we have accomplished because we have done something", will vanish. The realization that "He does everything. And we are not capable of doing anything" is called as "Complete Surrender". However, this should not become the dry and wry philosophy of uttering around, "Its all Baba's sankalpa, what do I have to do? He has done it". The cognizance of "complete surrender" should remain as just an inspiration, a background to the pursuit of our desires, ideals, and trials. Unless we get to completely experience the intent of Saibaba in every action, we should not use the term "complete surrender" for our convenience.

Be Humble!

God sees things by the whole. Man sees things by parts. God sees happenings over the three periods of time. Man sees events only in the present, isolated from the past and the future. That is why man sees discord here God sees harmony. Man sees lack of logic where God finds perfect logic. Put yourself in the place of God. Feel you are God. Feel that the entire universe is your creation and operates by your will. At once you will feel tremendous peace and strength surging within you.

You say others insult you without reason, injure you without cause. Even if that is true, do not get agitated. Face the situation calmly. You will find that calmness can be a powerful weapon to overcome difficult situations. Shut your eyes to insults. Let others think what they like, say what they like. This is a world of ignorant people. You be wise. Be humble before everybody. Be humble in every situation. This will be possible if you give up the idea of inferiority and superiority and learn to see God in everybody and everything "God wills it so. So be It.": Say that to yourself and keep quiet in the face of insults. Be unruffled. If you put up with insults, you will grow in humility and purity. You will grow spiritually rich.

Q. Does Baba get angry if we keep praying to Him to fulfill our desires?

Attaining vairagya (detachment & dispassion) is a very difficult task. It is possible for only a very few people through their complete surrendering to the Sadguru's feet. The majority of the people have boundless desires, which may be a good one or a bad one. We seek the God's grace to fulfill our wishes. Does Baba get angry to this? If we have good intentions, have shraddha and saburi, Baba will definitely fulfill our desire. On the contrary, Baba will never get angry if your desire is not a good one. If the person is a Baba's bhaktha, Baba will have his own way to make the person realize his mistake. Baba's love for his devotees is immeasurable.

Dear Anamika,

May be you are not able to surrender because you are asking Baba to fulfil your specific desire in a specific way, i.e. asking Baba to adjust to your requests. After a long struggle I realised that the best way to surrender, is to let go of the outcome we desire, and accept whatever Baba wills. To let go of my desire, and be open to receive or accept whatever Baba thinks is best, also took me a very very long time. Divinity knows what is best for us and It always has a big picture view of our lives. If we don't get the specific outcome we want, it is 100% guaranteed that we will get something better. Accept the fact that if Baba does not fulfill your desire, He has something better for you. Guaranteed!

From my experience I think the only way to surrender is to let go of the outcome we desire. For example, if we want Baba to fix a broken toy for us, we have to completely let go and put the toy in Baba's charge and let Him fix in a way he deems fit, without telling Him what to do.

Similarly just let go of your attachment to the outcome you want and let Baba decide what he thinks is best, as He knows you, even more than you know yourself. Once you do this on a regular basis and accept Baba's  will and tell Him, 'thy shall be done', believe me, you will start feeling better. Hand over this situation 100% to Baba, open-up your mind, heart and soul to receive whatever Baba offers, and most importantly show Baba that you trust Him by forgetting about this issue, because Baba is taking care of this issue for you. Once you surrender, your job is only to be happy and have an open mind...

I m not able to tolerate it yar  but we need to, atleast i need as far as my bad karmas wont vanish.

Is there any plan for Parayan  coming from tomorrow?

When the time is not with even your own shadow doent support you, today i saw my love`s photo in orkut.....and  got in to high depression, well i know i will get  my love with alll respect.
