Need Advice on Sai Vrath and Sai Pooja

Jai Sai,

One of my family member expired in India and we were told that we are not supposed to do Pooja to God  or offering  aarti/Prasad to God.

We usually take part in Sai Baba Bhajan and every thrusday we do Dhoop Aarti.
I have below questions for which i am seeking solutions/answers. I hope you could respond to my email and clarify my doubts.

1. Can we continue performing Bhajan,doing Aarti, offering Prasad at my home and inviting other bhaktas?
2.Can we continue attending the Bhajan at somebody else house and participate  in giving Aarti,eating Prasad etc?
3. I was planning to take up SaiBaba Vrath,Please advice if i can start the vrath or do i need to wait until 1 yr is complete.?

AS far as i understand you can do pooja at home, but not any big anusthan. Further after 13th day or terhrvi of that family member you can do start doing vrats too.
