Nishta And Saburi Of Sri Sai Of Shirdi.
Oh Bhagawan Sai of sacred Shirdi! "Nishta" and "Saburi"
were pearls,
That emanated from Thy divine lips to seekers of Thy grace,
Saburi means not only patience but courage and fortitude as
well.
And wonderful was Thy stress on saburi on Radhabai
Deshmuk
When she in her ignorance sought at Thy feet "upadesh" by
fasting.
How beautiful and meaningful are Thy words addressed to
her
Words of Thine shine with wisdom as do pearls with their
lusture;
But Oh Thou omniscient! the saburi that thou preach is out
of reach
To many in this world worshipping Thee as god absolute with
fulness of heart,
All that these humbly seek of Thee is to infuse them with this
saburi
So that in the battles many in their lives fumble and flounder
they may not.
Many are victims of faintness and fickleness of the hearts
and minds,
Many succumb to the rememberance of faults and failings of
their past;
It is to these of Thy devotees that saburi is a necessity
imperative
Endow them Oh Lord! with this saburi They crave of Thee
It is "why fear when I am here" in their hearts that they
beseech Thee
Deny them not this their prayer with hearts torn with
anguish
Thou knowest full well the lacerations they suffer,
Hasten to their aid Oh Lord! with Thy grace and benediction


More should devotees seek from Thee and more should they supplicate to Thee?
Oh Thou All knowest! Thy devotees bend their knees to Thee in full.
