Where does that little star come from

  • After a day with my thoughts constantly in the stars …

… when I wanted to pluck all the stars from the sky
to place them at your feet MY SAI
    and quickly rejected the thought
because this would have meant to break the cosmic harmony
    WHICH YOU ARE

… when I sought yet couldn’t find the English version
of one of my favourite poems:
Rainer Maria Rilke’s longing for stars that won’t fade
at the beginning of the day
stars that offer a point of rest to the eye
tired of drinking sunlight on a long summer day
stars that, if ever they shone up high
    on this world’s canopy,
would be sacred to LOVE alone
    and all poets,
to send it to my long lost, found again, dearly loved brother

… this little star appeared next to my name
and although there might be simple reasons to explain
    the stars by our names

these are the ones we can place at your feet
    YOUR Grace makes them shine.
and wherever we are, we all can see
    these stars combine
to form the most beautiful constellation
    in our heavenly sky
    OM SAI

To a Beloved Sister Astrid.....How's that....

BABA has taken me to beyond...since then......

You are still the one whom I love
and will be the one whom forever I would love
I cannot think of someone else in place of you
Because no one is worth replacing you.
You are always near shoving away my fear
walking with me through all shades of life
You are with me ... walking besides me
holding my hand and inspiring my life.
So what if they do not see you..
I can see as well as feel you.
Feel in the every breath I take
    and every move I make.

When I open my eyes and see you no more
I get scared and feel like living no more
Immediately I close my eyes and I see you..
Standing with your arms widespread for me..
    But! You tell me
How is dreaming always possible for me?
Because life is a fact and not a dream
I cannot cry nor can I scream..

    OM SAI RAM!!!

  • Sai Ram beloved brother Rameshji,

you've touched my heart. You always do,
    but with this one ...

Only: LOVE is a fact and life is a dream!
So, when you dream, you are wide awake
and no matter what your outer eyes have to see
in this our so-called waking life
and how much capacity of the mind
    that which they see occupies
there are always our inner eyes
    which see what we love
    at any time.

I have a dream, dear: You and me writing poems together, a line by you, a line by me ...
May SAI combine them to a song of love and praise for Him.

    Om Sai Ram

You and I are infinite choice-makers. In every moment of our existence, we are in that field of all possibilities where we have access to an infinity of choice.  Some of these choices are made consciously, while others are made unconsciously.  But the best way to understand and maximise the use of karmic law is to become consciously aware of the choices we make every moment.

  • A little more about the stars:

Meherbaba "added some startling comments on BABA's going to the Lendi: 'There he would spend an hour, during which time he would bring under his surveillance all the stars. This was routine and easily done - for at the time he created the universe he had given infinite thought and care to all eventualities and possibilities. Now there was only a touch here and there required to keep it all going smoothly.' (F. Brabazon, The Silent World: Being Some Chapters of the Life and Time of Avatar Meher Baba [Bombay: Meher Baba Foundation, 1978], 18)"
found yesterday in a footnote of my current reading: Antonio Rigopoulos, The Life And Teachings of Sai Baba of Shirdi, State University of New York Press, 1993 (an expanded doctorial thesis, written with a scientific mind and a heart full of love - beautiful reading for all who are not afraid of footnotes)

Sister Astrid....I would like to read that Book.  Can I find at internet....? Our life itself is expanded doctorial thesis. The more you read the more unknown chapter opens up. The more it opens, the more you go on loosing yourself....Yes, definately one needs really a scientific mind and heart full of love. If that is there then who is "afraid of footnotes".....

  • Sai Ram, Rameshji, beloved brother,

I just *love* your words! "If that is there, then who is afraid of footnotes" - may I throw you a kiss for that?
I found the book at www.amazon.de. If you can't find it at www.amazon.com (or much better the amazon of India - which there surely is, not so?), let me know, I'll buy it again and send it to you. I'd love to give you mine, but since I've not finished it yet, I'm afraid, you would have to wait all too long.

    Om Sai Ram

  • Sai Ram,

He *is* there, beloved Rameshji, taking care of us (all of us, that is, dear brothers and sisters), blessing us, holding us in His arms, on His lap, while we're standing in Q to wait for what He has in stock for us ... :-)

You see - if we combine our words, they come closer to truth, a loving truth, a truthful love ...

Ramesh Ji, just now I opened my heart and found you people there, but not in the corner !!!!
When I opened, BABA was sitting there in the right middle and you people were sitting next to him.

  • Sai Ram,

Beloved brother, I'm listening. It was just that I was running out of words about dear Natarajan's vision. And I love your reply about the great show to start with ... ;-) Isn't it wonderful to be in the company of the greatest prisoner on earth and beyond? BABA's that prisoner, because HE's in the heart of each and every living being.
It is our pleasure, our priviledge and our blessing to be prisoner in your heart, Natarajan, dear. Thanks for detaining us
    :-) :-) :-)

Yet at the same time: Look to the ONE in the middle alone. Everything that happens, happens because of HIM and through HIM alone.

    Om Sai Ram
