Anger of kuladevata/Family God

  • Dear Sai devotees,
I Need some guidance from devotees about the importance of Kuladevata/Family god in our life.
    1.  What is the result of not worshipping Family God.
    2.  Family God may be located far away from where you stay. In that case, how do you worship the god.

Need this, since i am having some problem(s) & biggest suspicion is that it is because of not worshipping the family god. Uptil now, i felt that Sai baba is our whole & sole, and that there is no need to look anywhere else. But the recent developments have caused me to believe otherwise. ??? ???

Dear devotees please give your valuable knowledge & experiences.

    Om Sai Ram

  • I am not sure about the impact if you don’t worship ur family god/ goddess but I know that we have to perform certain pooja or visit their temple when soemthinsg new happens like get married, new child born etc.
Also, your ancestors may trouble you or may want you to visit your old home/ place.
After I got married, I didn’t get a chance to visit my Grandfather’s home. I spend around 10-12yaers of my life there. Now 2 of my uncles are staying there with thr family.
Both my grandfather and grandmother left us long back. My grandmother died around 3 years back and 1 month before my marriage and I cudnt attend see her 
After 2 years, I started seeing my dreams that I am going to my home town. I reach the street, enter our home and spend my time there. Soon after almost every day I started seeing these kinds of dreams. It has become a daily activity and I feel so good. every day I see my grandparents, I talk to them. It has become a daily routine without fail.
You may wonder that I haven’t visit that house in last 10 years but after such dream I became family of each and every brick of my home.
And once day I decided to visit my grandparent’s home. We all went there. And then things became fine. I stopped seeing such kind of dreams atleast I don’t see that I am going to my home town but I still see my grand parents and I must admit I was too close to them.
It is said that one should not get attracted towards their dead ancestors. I know this reply is a bit sidetracked but I belive that it is also related to your original questions.

  • It's quite some years We stopped Worshipping our Kuladevata too. We have problems in life but it's not attributed to ignoring Kuladevata.
No God from any religion is Narcissistic because that defeats the very Purpose and principle of God. We are conditioned to believe in Self-Serving and punishing Gods by our Elders because they were conditioned by their Elders. This is a Heritage of Fallacies! Nothing More.

I think this is a great opportunity for you to Solicit your Faith in Sai and take Cartloads of Wealth from him.
This is just an Opinion, you are free to ignore if it doesn't Help.
Past and Future exist in the Mind. Present is the Only Reality. Mind loves habitual waiting to deny the present. Meditation helps one merge with Nature. One no longer feels Separate from the Whole. It is easy to live with the whole than against it.
Regular Meditation suppresses unwanted thoughts and strengthens the Mind. A less noisy mind is so near to God.

  • Thankyou for your replies.

Admin ji, your information matches here, since i get dreams, in which i see my native village where my ancestors have lived & i also see the ancestors. I have not visited that place for 4-5 years.
One surpising thing, that i experienced, about 8-10 months back. I was in the best of health & devotion to Sai baba.  suddenly one day, while coming back from work, i started having nauseating feeling in the stomach & cold & shivering, this lasted throughout the night & also in the next morning. That afternoon, my Parents were to go to my native village, I handed over some rupees as Dakshina to be put in the temple of the village goddess & in minutes i waS allright.

Saidasan ji, it may as well not have to do with ancestral problem. It may be some other coincidence as well. But in Sai Satcharitra, we see that SHAMA (Madhavrao Deshpande) had to go to Vani to perform the worship rites of his family Goddess Sapta Shringi. Sai baba asked him to personally go to Vani, although he had made the offering to Sai baba, saying that Sai baba himself was his Sapta Shringi. In Sai Satcharita it is further said that the Famous Astrologer, who gave his predictions to shama, said that because the vows to the family god were not performed, she was "bringing troubles" on them.

  • Om Sairam.

In SSC Sai has Said We should Trust only him and not Astrologers.

IMHO, Shama was sent to Vani to bring Saptashringi priest to Shirdi. Those days People to People Contact was the only way of Communication when the Master decides not to use his Occult powers.

Sai Sent Balram Mankar to a remote Ghat and manifested there in Flesh and Blood. Why he did not do the same for Saptashringi Priest is beyond human comprehension.
Sai's Actions never follow a pattern. If we interpret them it can confuse us at times.

    Jai Sairam.

  • I also want that there should be only one god (Sai baba) to whom you can devote yourself to.  But we have to wait & see. May be, i will visit my native place & worship the family god & see whether i am all right.

  • Yep. Whenever we have problems it's best to listen to our Feelings.

  •      Finally i did visit my Native place after a long time & worshipped the Family Goddess & the village Goddess. I was very happy & satisfied. It was a satisfying experience.
Here also Sai baba grace was manifest. I was to go through bus to my native village. I got late & feared that i may miss the bus. Luckily at a traffic junction, a rickshaw arrived with a big sticker of Sai baba on it & i was able to catch the bus in time. I was able to worship the Goddess with both Ganga-jal & milk. Also incense & prasad of pedhas.
Most of my problems are over after this. Worshipping one's family God is extremely good. I understand this by Sai baba's grace.  Thankyou Sai baba for opening my eyes & enabling me to get the correct vision  :D :D

    Om Sai Ram.
