Sai Ram friends,

I am a new member on this forum, which I have come to love much. I want your views on something that I share here. I am writing on behalf of a friend of mine and would like her to read your responses:

I have a 42 year old friend, who is very dear to me. She is a wonderful person and lacks nothing in her. She is beautiful, intelligent, compassionate and virtuous.  A gem of a person, who has inner and outer beauty. And she is a great devotee of Baba. Unfortunately, she has not got anything from this world so far. Despite her personal attributes, she has not found love, care, marriage, success or money in life. She has struggled all her life with misfortunes of various kinds from time to time. Being a girl child, she was discriminated against while growing up. She fell in love a couple of times, but both the guys broke her heart. Since she did not find true love, so she never married as she was against an arranged marriage. She is very bright, but sucess always eluded her. She is very helpful by nature, but ends up being betrayed by people who she helps. Now at 42, she is still a student studying to get an advanced degree. Being a student at such an age, she sometime loses her hope of success and does not give in her best. Her objective is to stand on her feet so that she is not dependent on her aging parents or siblings who are well-settled. Of late, I heard her call herself unfortunate and unlucky for the first time. She is slowly losing her faith in humanity, though her faith is very strong in Baba. A lovely human being as she is, I wonder why she has to suffer so much for her karma of some births. Is there a way she could get mercy from Baba? Can Baba save her from a total disaster when she can lose even her faith? My heart pains to see such a beautiful person suffer so much. Why is Baba testing her Shraddha and Saburi so much? I am truly baffled in her case. Please write your responses, so that I forward them to my dearest friend who deserves the best in life for what she is.

what to say about ur frnd, my 2 aunties (mousi) are going throw the same condition and they are almost of the same age 45-48.. i can understand her problm.. i can only pray to Baba for her better life.. pls tell her not to loose patience and devotion towards Baba.. Who surrenders oneself to Him He take cares for rest of the things.. Life abhi khatam nai huyi hai...

i am writing here one chapter from Gurucharitra. may by reading this she will feel relax and regain hers lost selfconfidence

60 Year Old Sterile Woman Begets Children.
 

There lived one Shounak Gotri, Apastamb Brahmin named Somanath. His wife Ganga was a devoted wife, pious by nature. She was 60 years old, but she had no issue. She used to come to Shri Guru and bow to him devotedly every day.

Shri Guru being pleased, one day asked her, `Why are you worshipping me daily? What do you desire? God will fulfil your desire.

She said, `gurudeo, a woman's life is futile without an issue. Without a son the homeis like a forest. Issueless persons go to hell. Please give me a boon so that I will have a son at least in next life.'

Shri Guru smiled and said, `Service to the Ashwattha will not be futile. There is an Ashwattha tree at the Bhima Amarja sangam. I am present there after the bath in the river. Therefore worship the Ashwattha devotedly. The greatness of Ashwattha is narrated in the Puranas. Brahmadeo is at its root, Vishnu is in its middle portion and the Rudra is on its top and the Agni (fire god) lies in the interior of this tree.

In the months of Ashadha, Poush or Chaitra, when Guru and Shukra are not set, when the moon is favourable on an auspicious day, observe fast and start worshipping the Ashwattha. Do not touch the tree on Sunday, Sankranti and in the evening. The floor at the root should be smeared by cowdung and have rangolee designs. Worship the Ashwattha thinking it as a Trimurti, with 16 upchars, then saying Purushsukta and observing `moun' take rounds of the tree. Two lakhs rounds destroy even the sin of Brahmahatya. The Ashwattha gives four purusharthas. The desire of a son is also fulfilled by him.

Recitation of Mrityunjaya sitting at the Ashwattha on Saturday, avoids accidental death and gives long life. One gets credit of feeding several Brahmins, if one Brahmin is fed under this tree. If one Ashwattha tree is grown, 42 generations are liberated; but if one Ashwattha is cut, it is a great sin performed. Home performed under the tree gives credit of a great sacrifice. Do Homa of one tenth of the number of rounds and feed Brahmins and give golden Ashwattha in charity.

She started worshipping Ashwattha as advised by Shri Guru. On the third day, she had a dream. A Brahmin told her to go to Shri Guru at Ganagapur, have seven rounds of Shri Guru and take the prasad that is given to her and that her desire will be fulfilled. She awoke. On the fourth day she went to Shri Guru and had 7 rounds. Shri Guru gave her 2 fruits and said, `Eat these fruits. Your desire will be fulfilled.'

She then completed her vrat of the worship of Ashwattha. During meals she ate the fruits given by Shri Guru. In the evening she started menses. On the fourth day after bath she went to Shri Guru and bowed to him. She had sex act on he fifth day. She became pregnant, In the seventh month she was given `Oti' and she gave `vayan' to married women. `Seemant' was performed in the 8th month. After 9 months she begot a daughter.

After 10 days she came to Shri Guru with the baby. Shri Guru smiled and blessed her baby and said, `You will have one more son, what do you prefer? A well-behaved son of 30 years of age or a fool having 100 years' life?'

The woman said, `I would like to have a well-behaved son, who should have 5 sons.' Shri Guru blessed her as she desired. Later on she had a son who became learned and won fame. He had 5 sons in course of time. The daughter's husband performed sacrifices and was well-known as `Dixit.'

i read this post today only.

i can very well understand how you must be feeling for your friend. I must say that you are indeed a very genuine and true freind. it is very difficult to find such a nice friend in today's world who really cares.

Iam xactly half the age of your freind, so i dont have much knowledge or exp. to suggest nething but still i personally feel that baba has sent you for your freind. people say that baba helps a person in sum or the other form so you are one of the medium auntyji.......and rest it is very true that a person has to pay back in this life for the sins they have commited in their previous births but there is also a fact that by chanting baba's holy name all the sins will burn away.

Your freind is already a true and sincere devotee of sai baba so there is no need to lose hope......ask your freind if she can read a chap. of sai satcharitra daily, it will give her a peace of mind and ask her if she can join this forum.....here she will find so many other true devotees of baba... we all are there to help her, guide her....she will feel better after joinig this forum.....please tell her to join it asap.....

yes sumtms sai baba puts us through test so that we become more strong and hard in life and its just a bad phase of her life and it will also pass by.......so we shouldnt lose hope....

I feel your friend should have given a thought to arranged marriage too...Because true love I believe always blends in two souls only after getting married and living together through thick and thin (even in case of love marriage)...with faith,love and courage...Even now it's not too late...Baba will find the true love and she has to keep no blocks as regards arranged marriage too...Plus we should always remember....Tum besahara ho tho kisse ka sahara bano,tumko apne aap hi sahara mil jayaega...Kashti koi doobthi pahucha do kinare pe,tumko apne aap hi kinara mil jayega.....

Dear smg ji and abhishobi ji, thank you so much for your nice posts... In fact, it is my friend who is true and genuine. I'm merely reciprocating her love and care. I consider myself extremely lucky to have such a true friend, who is real not just for me but for others also. It is another  thing that most of her friends have betrayed her. I understand that it is the result of some past karma. She has been chanting Baba's name with regular parayan of Shri Sai Satcharitra for years now. That is why I am baffled at her continuous misfortune. But, I also know that Baba has saved her through so many problems and troubles in miraculous ways. Her strength to bear everything comes from Baba, so does the help when she needs it. I have asked her to join this family of Baba, the dwarkamai forum. She may do that soon. I pray that Baba sends a beautiful and genuine life-partner for her. She really deserves true love and care, something she herself is capable of giving to everyone.

May Baba bless all on this temple.
