The ambitious Shirdi Saibaba Temple is shaping up in West Auckland’s Henderson after the executive committee of the Shri Shirdi Sai Sansthan New Zealand bowed down to the wishes of the general body to follow the ‘original grand plan,’ discarding its own earlier proposal of constructing a ‘shorter version.’

The main concern now is to raise $3 million for the project, considerably higher compared to the other option.
Sansthan president Hari Gangishetty and secretary Bhaskara Reddy Duvvuru are confident of success.
Indian Newslink understands that with regular remittances from members and donors and
the amount collected thus far would account for about $500,000, yet far short of the target.
