Question - Interpreting Sai Baba's messages or hints?

Om Sai Ram to the entire Dwarkamai family,

Dear friends,

I have been reading the experiences of the devotees of Sai Baba, specially those devotees who were around Sai Baba when he  graced the holy land of Shirdi.
Nearly all the close devotees of Sai Baba have mentioned one particular thing - that most of the times Sai Baba spoke in cryptic and mystic ways ... in parables... some times only using a phrase or a few words to answer his devotees. Apparently he rarely ever spoke directly in clear sentences to his devotees. And more often than not, when he wanted to indicate something to any devotee he indicated it through hints... hints that were pregnant with meaning which only if the devotee was smart enough or sharp enough, he could catch the deeper meaning of Sai Baba's words.

Many times Baba spoke to a group of devotees but in essence his words were being meant only for one of those devotees .. and so the rest of the group of devotees could not understand what Baba was trying to indicate. This was the way Baba operated.

Ofcourse, this was the specialty of Sai Baba... throughout if you see, every great Guru has had a special characteristic and so maybe the special trait of Baba was to speak to his devotees in a special language which the devotee had to be sharp enough to understand.

Now my question is this - a lot of us pray to Sai Baba for our prayers to be answered. And many times we do not see any answers coming to us inspite of praying so much.
Could this be because we are looking for direct and straight-forward answers to our prayers, where as Baba may actually be giving his answers to us but in his own special way, indirectly through hints?
But since we all are probably ignorant of the way Baba works, since we have not had the good fortune to see him go about his work in front of our eyes... maybe we are not accustomed to understanding and interpreting those hints?

So maybe we should all keep our eyes and ears open and try to be on the lookout for the hints and indirect answers that are coming our way... and try to understand what Baba might be trying to indicate to us, through these indirect ways... instead of only waiting a direct answer to our prayers.

Yes my son, I do agree with you.
We still have to learn a lot. My request is, saibaba only can guide us to know his language.
and make us capable of knowing him and his teachings.
Deva sai krupa karo Aapke kadamoper hum khud ko samarpan karte hai...Raah dekhaavo..sai!
