how to donate food?

dear all, i   asked sai baba an answe to my question and he said "donate food for 13 days"/...
but i am living in canada and wondering how do i donate food for 13 days....


please can anyone offer any suggestions

Hallo Saivandan ji,

Is there any Saitemple at Canada?  If there is any temple are there any poor people?

I think that there may not be any poor people. 


If any saitemple or any people are not there please do like this.

If your family members and friends are residing in India send them money and ask them to feed some poor people at the saitemple.  Your can feed minimum 5 people or so every thursday.  Bcoz every thursday at saitemples there are Free Sai annadanam being conducted.

I am living in Narsapur West Godavari Andhra Pradesh.  We are having sai temples here.  Near to our town 10 kms away there is one town Palakol and there is one Baba temple built in vast acres.  The temple is very spacious every Thursday a lot of sai devotee come to the temple and every thursday there is free annadanam.  The annadanam building is also very beutifully built and  annadanam will be done to all devotees at least more than s100 and on any auspisious day there may be 2000 people.  The Dwarakamai building is also very beautiful and whenevery I go to Palakol I used to meditate there.  It is very pleasant during meditation.

Dear Devotee,

I am living in USA and some kind of confusion I have, lot of time baba told me that “please donate food” and I donate lot of rupees and dollars for “feed people” but believe me or not, baba is everywhere, you not need to go temple and feed poor,  if you can do this it is great but people like you and me in that situation can not find out people just start make something good for your family member, what they like and feed them and see, when my husband and my daughter get their favorite food and satisfied   I am feeling that my food rich to my god because “Sai is everywhere”

Dear saivandan ji,

It's a very good thought to donate food. If you don't find any poor or needy then you can do one thing, please keep food like some biscuits or chocolates or anything edible, all the time with you. Leave everything to baba, ask him to show the path then automatically you will get someone or he himself will come to collect your food. This is what I do when I don't find anybody and believe me the movement you buy food and keep it with you to donate, you will find one or other. Leave everything to him, he will arrange it  . Donating Food to Any Hungry is Good. There is no Difference for POOR or RICH in Hunger.

             You can donate any body who comes mandir or any where .

You can feed Animals,Birds , who also Part of Human Kind.

i have gone through the replies of everybody.......................and respect the feeling of everyone.

but i have some different views-

feeding a hungry actually stands for feeding a needy person.
feeding a person who already has capacity to purchase food ( like your friedns and family members) does not come under this category.
(hemali ji plzzzzzzzzzz plzzzzzzzzzzz plzzzzzzzzzzz dont take it personally. i am talking about a general matter.i am not making any comments on your reply.)

but yes if someone capable of purchasing food is not able to get food due to some disability is an exception.

i would suggest you to plz donade some food (like rice, wheat) to any orphan house, any oldage home or some other organisation where it is required.

Abhinav ji and other devotee, thanks for your comments, I am totally agree with your views, but this is open discussion and I expressed my idea. If I said something wrong, I am sorry about that from heart. My meaning was saying here, yes I know everyone can purchase food, but you will never enjoy it when there is a no love inside. My own tummy never like that food, which is made with out any love or passion. Example, If I am making food for some one, just as my responsibility I am thinking I cheat my Baba.  Because some time we are looking for some person, we want to help them, but we can not see some one is really near by us! That’s why I wrote in “sai is everywhere” in real meaning you like to do something for Baba, please start from your own home. Because baba is in every one. If I am spending lot of money for feed people and can’t get time or lazy…to make food for my husband and daughter that’s a no meaning of doing that. First you change something inside you... and than try to change other things outside.

 i   agree to a great extent with you and understand what you are saying.... this week i was  allotted chapter 38 and in that ...it is mentioned how we should donate food.... there is a list of priority...first feed the disabled and poor  and then later ...relatives adn family members also are included...

 i agree with you ....as sai baba also said that GOD resides in every being......and my mother used to tell me that whenever  we do cooking we should be doing naam jaap and offer food to our family with full devotion so that it has all the positive energies and it contributes to our health.... and also  "charity begins at home"  a  person may not be nice or may not care for his family but   outside he may be doing lots of daan ..... it cannot be justified at all.......

and i am also thankful to everyone who have replied to this post and given me lots of ideas about donating food....
