Sh.C.B. Satpathy ji is an ardent devotee of Baba and who calls himself a servant of Baba. Sh.Satpathy ji lovingly called as Guruji has inspired and inaugurated hundreds of Baba temples in and outside India.

Shri Satpathy ji is about fifty four years old, very religious since his childhood. His inborn divine qualities nourished and blossomed under very pious and caring eyes of his father. As if Shri Sai himself as a father took care of him. Satpathyji found a friend a guide and a divine teacher in his father.

At first it is difficult to belive that Shri Satpathy Ji has been a police officer all his life and was a recipient of of the President's gold medal for bravery. But to the hundreds who flock to his house, his official rank is immaterial. To them, he is simply the man with the healing touch, they earnestly believe that he can look into the future and solve their problems.

This is what brings them every Saturday to the Chatterpur (Delhi)  temple of Baba. Satpathyji's asset is no professional astrologer, it's his instinct in him which prompts his predictions.

To some Shri Satpathyji is like a BROTHER. Shri Chandra Bhanu Satpathy has many incredible predictions to his credit. He preaches that a single drop of tear from the eyes of a pious person can move – be it Shri Sai or Christ, in a fraction of a second. He says ‘Purity and Love' is the essence of Sai Movement.

Guruvakhya: Quotes from Guruji

1. Destiny is not comparable. Destiny of each person is unique by itself. So don't suffer by comparing and contrasting your destiny with others.

2.Because the past was imperfect and future uncertain, we must not spoil the perfect present.

3. Difference of opinion should not lead to difference of mind. Half the problems of our life will not arise at all if we remember this.

4. Instead of conquering the world, conquer your mind. If you conquer your mind, you can conquer the world.

5. Do not ponder over negative thoughts as this is infectious, which gets into your system. Keep negative thoughts out of your being.

6. Do not ponder over negative traits in others, for then they will take root in you.

7. The science of worldly pleasures blinds people so much that they fail to see the light of god.

Closer relationship with Baba

Devotees of Shri Shirdi Sai often ask a question to me - "How to be in closer relationship with Baba?".  I have seen them striving in their own way to be close to Shri Sai, even if they are not aware as to what it would mean to be close to Shri Sai. Basically, it is an emotional rapport they would like to develop. The various methods they adopt, according to their stages of consciousness, strength of will, inborn and acquired qualities and faith in Baba, immensely vary.

It is true that the relationship of each disciple with Baba i.e. God will be unique and there cannot be exact second relationship. However, in all such relationships it is seen that the existence of certain common denominators and qualities are a prerequisite. If the devotees understand these qualitative prerequisites which would entail them to be closely drawn by Baba, then the treading of the path would be simpler.

The first such quality as I feel is faith in Him. Mere intellectual faith acquired over a period of time by reading books, discussions etc., may develop certain amount of conviction in him, but this level of faith is not enough. Even though at the earlier stages it may be necessary. People are often seen saying, even publicly, that "I can sacrifice my life for Baba" or that "In this world I can depend on nobody except Him fully". However, if we closely observe their lifestyle, the way they interact with people, their reaction to adversities of others, their reaction to individuals and groups around them in the society, one would find that their proclaimed convictions are mere exercise in substance less assertiveness.

If the faith in Baba is genuine, they would not be indulging in the manipulations they do in relation to other people being fully aware that Baba many times forbade people/reprimanded devotees for committing such acts to satisfy their smallest of interest. We have to watch whether we are acting truthfully, howsoever difficult, according to the advise of Baba. Faith reflects in everyday reality. It is not a mental luxury or a philosophical dream. Therefore, let us seriously think about this strength of our faith in Baba.

Sadgurus or Perfect Masters are in reality the seers who have realized the Absolute or have reached the highest realm of spiritual attainment, are present for ever in the whole universe whether in an embodied or in an un-embodied state. They can operate in gross, subtle or mental world. By virtue of their divine powers they touch upon both the animate and the inanimate world. They have been actually chosen to execute the divine mission and for that, free from individual ego work together for the execution of the divine mission.

This is one of the profiles of their spirit of compassion. They are, indeed, the ambassadors of the divine compassion. Due to this compassion for humanity they get embodied in the world to uplift the souls of the fallen and the suffering. They are revered as Sadgurus or Perfect Masters by the scriptures.
