Video/Photos: Trustees Booked for Scam worth Millions @ Sai Temple`Nagpur

On 04th Sept`2013, the Dhantoli Police registered an offense against 7 Trustees of the 'Shri Sai Baba Temple' @ Wardha Road`Nagpur,
under sections 406 (Criminal Breach of Trust) & 34 (Acts done by Several persons in furtherance of Common Intention)
of the Indian Penal Code, for embezzling the donated Funds & Ornaments to a tune of Rs 21.30 lakhs.
The complainant, a former trustee, Shri.Avinash Shegaonkar, claimed that 500 gms Gold, 22 kg Silver & Rs.30,000 cash,
which had been donated by devotees, since the new committee of Trustees took over on 27th April`2009, had gone missing.

He had earlier also lodged a complaint at the Sitabuldi police station against the incumbent Trustees of the Temple
but no action was taken until Judicial intervention was sought & after the Local Courts direction,
the Police finally registered an FIR against the Trustees of the Sai Temple.

When contacted, the Trustees denied these charges leveled against them saying that all their accounts were properly audited,
and could be checked by anyone. They claim that all these false allegations were being made just to tarnish their image.
