Radhakrishna Mai Death Mystery Unravelled

  • These are the findings of the first-ever public probe conducted by Siddhaguru Sri Ramanananda Maharshi with the divine blessings of Shirdi Sai Baba on 2014 September 22, Monday at 5:45 PM.  It was confirmed from the official records that Radhakrishna Mai had not attempted suicide and it was a sudden and natural death.

Sri Radhakrishna Mai was an ardent disciple of Shirdi Sai Baba. She was not an ordinary disciple, she was a Siddha Yogini and performed miracles like Shirdi Sai Baba. A group of people at Shirdi propagated that Radhakrishna Mai had committed suicide and died due to pregnancy. For the past 98 years, people had believed this incident. It is Siddhaguru Sri Ramanananda Maharshi’s pleasure to present all the Sai Baba devotees with the official information that the allegations made on Sri Radhakrishna Mai’s death are false.

Secret and sensitive official documents from Government records throw light on Yogini Radhakrishna Mai’s mysterious death in the presence of Shirdi Sai Baba in the year 1916.

All these 98 years after her death, the so-called writers, authors and Shirdi Sai Baba devotees also threw pointers to the conspiracies that dogged the Yogini Sri Radhakrishna Mai.  They used to write or speak that Sri Radhakrishna Mai had committed suicide or died due to pregnancy and they maligned her character despite her excellent service with divine love rendered during her stay of 9 years at Shirdi.

It was propogated that Radhakrishna Mai’s body was taken to the Kopargoan Hospital and a post-mortem was conducted. This is not true and is only an illusion of a group of people and writers. It was found from the official records that there was no hospital or post-mortem process in Kopergoan during 1916. The post-mortem process had begun in early 1940’s and hence, this is just a rumour.  Due to the sudden death of Sri Radhakrishna Mai, a group of people had suspected that she might be pregnant and they created a rumour that she committed suicide. Based on the Village Head’s version, the Police inspector/Mamalathdar conducted Panchanama and gave the report to the official. Accordingly, police had written the same in the register as garbhapath and sudden death. As per the official records and the deep discussions by Siddhaguru Sri Ramanananda Maharshi with the officials and prominent elderly persons in and around Shirdi, it was proved that Sri Radhakrishna Mai was not pregnant, and it was only a rumour created by a group of people then, at Shirdi.

Further, you can recall the words from Justice M.B.Rege’s letter that he visited Shirdi just two months before Radhakrishna Mai’s Mahasamadhi and he did not find symptoms of her pregnancy. Even some prominent devotees made allegations on the same issue with M.B. Rege.  Rege felt sorrowful after listening to those words. Then all of a sudden, Sai Baba called Rege and those devotees, and looking at Rege, Baba said that Rege, these people are mad fellows; they do not know what real devotion means. Radhakrishna Mai had a strong owe to get only Moksha from Me, hence I blessed her with Moksha.  You know where she is? She is in my heart! People at Shirdi could not identify her greatness and her spiritual level. Immediately, Baba lifted His kafni and showed her place in His heart. By Baba’s words, Rege felt very happy and other devotees were surprised. This clearly implies that Baba Himself proved that all the allegations made by Shirdi people were not true and baseless.
Generally, accounts of witnesses from the village and the Village Head who deposed before the Police Inspector/Mamalathdar were taken as the contents of the Panchanama during those days due to lack of procedures.  There were no regular post-mortems conducted during those times.

In reality, Kopargaon taluka headquarters had a limited-hour dispensary in   1916, only to give medicines to the patients by an ayurvedic private practitioner (Bhishak). Moreover, it was the First World War Period (1914-1918).  Most of the essential services got affected in India due to exigencies of war. In the year 1965, the government had opened a regular clinic at Kopargaon as per the official records. Hence, we could arrive at a conclusion that:

    i)   Radhakrishna Mai’s body was never shifted to Kopargaon for post-mortem;
ii)   Carrying a dead body on a man pulling cart for a long distance of 15 KMs. as written by some authors in their books, is ridiculous.  Further, we can recall from Satchharitra that the dead body of Sri Vijayananda Swamy was kept waiting for one day at Shirdi for  police verification and writing Panchanama before burial as he had come from Chennai; and
iii)   The illusions of villagers were depicted in the Panchanama.
As per different versions of the writers, a few of them had mentioned that Radhakrishna Mai died in 1915, while some of them mentioned as 1917. Even 98 years after her death, writers and spiritual Gurus have not mentioned about the exact date, month and year of her death. By the grace of Shirdi Sai Baba, Sri Ramanananda Maharshi probed and declared with the evidence of official records that the exact date of Her Mahasamadhi was on 1916 November 20 i.e. the early hours of Kartika Bahula Ekadasi.

By her extra-ordinary services to Sai Baba, Radhakrishna Mai attained some powers, so that she can leave her body at any moment as per her desire. A few days before her Mahasamadhi, she got a message from Shirdi Sai Baba - Baba ordered her to leave her body.  Moreover, Shirdi Sai Baba stopped sending daily Roti prasadam from 1916 November 18.  By the Divine order of Shirdi Sai Baba, Radhakrishna Mai went into Nirvikalpa Samadhi and attained Mahasamadhi on 1916 November 20 in her house on Kartika Bahula Ekadasi. The villagers of Shirdi found her collapsed in her house only after two days.  Siddhaguru Sri Ramanananda Maharshi says, “Each of the spiritual yogis has a unique character and personality. Each has brought to play a specific role in the revelation of Eternal truth.  Accordingly, her service-role as a Gopika to Siddhaguru Sai Baba influenced in originating the various programmes being organised at Shirdi Sansthan today.”

We are happy to announce the 11 secret facts with authentic evidence of official records that are revealed by Siddhaguru Sri Ramanananda Maharshi as follows:
    1.   Radhakrishna Mai left her body by attaining Nirvikalpa Samadhi.  Her death was not like a common person’s death. She left her body in a yogic manner.
    2.   Radhakrishna Mai did not commit suicide.
    3.   Her’s was a natural death.
    4.   Radhakrishna Mai was never pregnant before her Mahasamadhi.
    5.   She did not die in 1915 or 1917.
    6.   Radhakrishna Mai’s body was not taken to the Kopergoan hospital.
    7.   Postmortem was not done on her body; only the Panchanama was done at Shirdi. Panchanama means the Police/Mamalathdar will take the collective opinion of the people and the village head.
    8.   The exact date of her death was 1916 November 20, whereas the official records depict as 1916 November 22.
    9.   In the presence of Shirdi Sai Baba, Radhakrishna Mai’s rituals were performed at Shirdi in the place between the present Abdul Baba Samadhi and Dixit wada. Earlier in 1916, it was a burial ground in Shirdi.
    10.   A few writers say that on the banks of the Godavari River at Kopergoan, she was buried as an orphan; it is not true and is only a rumour.
    11.   After performing her rituals in Shirdi, the ashes were immersed in Godavari River at Kopergoan.

In this context, we have the pleasure of informing all Sai Baba devotees that Siddhaguru Sri Ramanananda Maharshi has written a great book namely
    “The Secret Divine Life of
    Premamayi-Siddhayogini Sri Radhakrishna Mai”.

This book has 99 chapters in 11 Kandas containing around 600 pages. After collecting information on the Yogini in various vernacular languages including English, Maharshi described in this book, her deep-rooted Gopika tatva, noble qualities and several other aspects required in the relationship of Guru-sishya as per sanatana dharma.  This great book is going to be released on her 99th Mahasamadhi day which falls on 2014 November 18 according to the Hindu calendar.  It also establishes perfect knowledge about her life and her divine relationship with Paramaguru Sai Baba and is unparalleled with others. The book will counter authentically, the false propaganda and the delusive messages on Siddhayogini Radhakrishna Mai.  More so, this great book is written by Sri Ramanananda Maharshi with His impressionism as a Siddha (a self-realised soul) and hence it will cater to all the philosophical aspects of Siddhaguru parampara.
Really, it is heartening to note that the mystery of exact date and the confusion surrounding the demise of Siddayogini Sri Radhakrishna Mai is being erased from the minds of Sai devotees, at last, by Siddhaguru Sri Ramanananda Maharshi on this auspicious date, 2014 September 22.

    Jai Paramaguru Shirdi Sai Maharaj!
    Jai Siddhayogini Radhakrishna Mai!
    Jai Siddhaguru Sri Ramanananda Maharshi!
