Sai's Grace 1

  • Dear fellow devotees,

As I look around this Forum, I see sad, suffering and anxious souls, in the midst of many of life’s travails, problems and desperately praying for divine help. A few get what they sought but many others often don’t. Some wait for an eternity for good things to happen but they don’t.

Even for those who get answers, there are some who wonder why it took so long for Bhagwan Sai to give you what you asked for. Some question if Sai is really listening to their appeals. I was one of those people in the past, extremely impatient for good things to happen… It is hard to be patient in the midst of calamities but that is where your Faith is tested. Yes, Sai tests ALL of His devotees before he answers their prayers.

    Before you contemplate this issue:

Please remember that Divine Blessings are a privilege earned with sustained faith and belief. We must deserve what we seek. There is no time frame for God to give out boons. One must also know WHAT to ask of Sai. His “khajaana” (treasury) is open to everyone but one has to know WHAT to take from there. That is where the answers and solutions to all your problems will be.

I have always opined that if one seeks to understand Sai and what HE really is, then one must read Sri Guru Charitra. The misery of this Kaliyuga is fully explained in the opening chapters of SGC. The tragedies of the times (war, terrorism, disease, greed, poverty) are all prophesied in GC. The most-important insight of GC is that salvation in Kaliyuga is best obtained via a Sadguru, not by vratams, sacrifices  or rituals. Other yugas are associated with bhakti, karma, jnana and vairagya modes of reaching God; but the Path of Sadguru is the only one specified for Kaliyuga.

The next time you pray to any God of your choice don't ask for frivolous things, like a job or car or kids or passing an exam. ASK FOR SADGURU'S GRACE. That is the ONLY thing that can help you face this challenge of existence.

Sai is Dattatreya.  Period. So, no matter how difficult life is, just chant a few times a day: 'Jai Gurudeva Datta' or “Om Dattatreyaya Namah” and ask not for mundane stuff but for His Grace. Still not convinced? Read Sri Guru Charitra once. You will know what I mean.

    Best Wishes,
    = Sriram

  • JAI SAI RAM!!!

Thanks Dr. Kalaga for the beautiful piece of ur posting.  Yes u are absolutely right that HIS Treasury is always kept open for all of us to take but we don't know what is to be taken from that which is real essential for us.

Being a Sindhi we follow Guru Nanak's Sikh Panth and before coming into BABA SAI's fold I used to recite Japji Sahib daily.  After reading ur post about 'Khajaana' I remember the wording of Japji Sahib.  I am placing Stanza 25 of Japji's for all my forum's brothers and sisters.

Japji meaning Song of the Soul, is a universal poem containing teachings on the search for truth.

Japji is a personal tool for transformation used to awaken one's destiny and connect one's soul with the infinite.

Sample Content of Stanza 25 from Japji:

    Bahutaa Karam - Transliteration

    Bahutaa karam likhi-aa naa jaa-i
    Vadaa daataa til na taamaa-i
    Katay mangeh jodh apaar
    Kayti-aa ganat nahee veechaar
    Kaytay khap tuteh vaykaar
    Kaytay lai lai mukar paa-eh
    Kaytay moorakh khaahee khaa-eh
    Kayti-aa dookh bhookh sad maar
    Ayeh bhi daat tayree daataar
    Band khalaasee bhaanai ho-i
    Hor aakh na sakai ko-i
    Jay ko khaa-ik aakhan paa-i
    Oho jaanai jaytee-aa mu-eh khaa-i
    Aapay jaanai aapay day-i
    Aakeheh si bhi kayee kay-i
    Jis no bakhsay sifat saalaah
    Naanak paati-shaahee paati-shaaho

    Bahutaa Karam - Translation

His Blessings are so abundant, there can be no written account of them.

The Great Giver does not hold back anything. So many great, heroic warriors beg at the door of the Infinite Lord. So many contemplate and dwell upon Him, that they cannot be counted. So many waste away to death engaged in corruption.  So many take and take again, and then deny receiving.  So many foolish consumers keep on consuming.

So many endure distress, deprivation, and constant abuse.  Even these are Your Gifts, O Great Giver!  Liberation from bondage comes only by your will.  No one else has any say in this.  If some fool should presume to say that he does, he shall learn, and feel the effects of his folly.  He Himself knows, He Himself gives.  Few, very few are those who acknowledge this.  One who is blessed to sing the Praises of the Lord, O Nanak, is the king of kings.

    OM SAI RAM!!!
