Since its Inception, the Shri Shirdi Sai Baba Sansthan of New Zealand Inc (registered in 2002 as a charitable trust)
has been organising regular Sai Satsangs / Programs, Blood donation camps, Tree-planting ceremonies,
Durga Mata Chowki and Diwali celebrations at Mt Roskill War Memorial Hall, 13 May Road, Mt. Roskill, Auckland`New Zealand.

The immediate goal of the Shri Shirdi Sai Baba Sansthan of New Zealand Inc,
is to establish a Temple for Baba at 11 Brick St, Waitakere, Henderson`Auckland,
which would assist in spreading the wonderful life and teachings of Shri Baba.

The Sansthan, which will own and manage this project, has the lofty challenge of ensuring that the cost of the Project,
currently estimated at $3 million, will be available before it begins Construction.

President Hari Gangisetty and Secretary Bhaskar Duvvuru were upbeat, saying that the members of the Sansthan,
devotees visiting its weekly prayer meetings, corporate and individual donors and other charity-minded organisations
would help in mobilising the requisite finance.

“The Sansthan currently has $700,000 cash deposit in the bank and the regular weekly and monthly remittances from members
and devotees would continue to increase cash on hand. We hope to raise an additional sum of $800,000 through various programmes
and donations, in order that the Bank would be able to match the sum to reach $3 million.

The Sansthan is now in possession of a property at 11 Brick St, Waitakere, Henderson`Auckland with a total area of 2367 Sq M,
of which 1792 Sq M would be the building area. The Sansthan has paid $685,000 for the land, which is on Freehold.

“As well as housing the Sanctum Sanctorum of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba, the property will accommodate a Community Hall with Kitchen
and Catering facility, a Library and provision for conducting Classes,” Mr Duvvuru said.

The Temple Complex would have Parking facility for at least 50 cars.

Mr Gangisetty said future plans would include accommodation for the Temple Priest and other facilities to enhance the utility of the property.
“The absence of a dedicated venue has limited our ability to undertake various community projects and activities,
although members gather every Thursday at the Mt Roskill War Memorial Hall for prayers.
The proposed Temple will enable the Sansthan to undertake a number of programmes for the benefit of the people,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Executive Committee has approved lifting the membership fees in line with those of similar organisations.
Mr Duvvuru said effective May 1st`2010, the cost of Life Family Membership will move up from $251 to $501,
while Life Individual Membership will rise to from $121 to $251.

Mr Duvvuru said that “The Annual Family Membership and the Annual Individual Membership will almost double
respectively to $101 (from $51) and $51 (from $21),” & the primary aim of the organisation will be to create awareness
of Shirdi Sai Baba, propagate his ideals and teachings and serve the community.
