SHREE SAI BABA had unique method of solving devotee’s problems; in fact the solutions were in his words and commands and not in steps or procedure he instructed devotees to carry out.

A devotee by name Bala Ganpat Shimpi suffered from a malignant type of malaria. He tried all sorts of cures but without effects the fever did not abate a bit.  He went to Shirdi and fell at SHREE SAI BABA’s feet. SHREE SAI BABA told him “give a black dog some morsels of rice mixed with curds in front of the Lakshmi temple”. Shimpi returned home and he prepared the mixture of rice and curd as per prescription mentioned by SHREE SAI BABA and carried the same to the Lakshmi temple. Shimpi saw a black dog in front of Lakshmi temple wagging its tail as if waiting for him. Shimpi moved forward and kept the mixture of rice and curd in front of the black dog that ate it willingly, as he was posted there by the lord of the devotee to complete the procedure as prescribed. The devotee was cured of his malaria. 

Is it not magnificent, a sickness was cured by making the patient, perform Anna daana.

My dear devotees the cure was not in rice and curd or in feeding, but it was in the words of our LORD SHREE SAI BABA.

Medicines are made according to ailment but in Shirdi the ailments were cured by medicines one would have not thought off.  In some cases the medicines were only mere glance or smile of SHREE SAI BABA. Sometimes medicines prescribed by SHREE SAI BABA, could be termed as poison in medical terms for a particular sickness.
 
Dattopant from Harda (Madhya Pradesh) suffered from severe stomach ache for fourteen years. He did not get any relief from any of the remedies suggested to him. Then hearing about SHREE SAI BABA he came to Shirdi and sought SHREE SAI BABA’s help. SHREE SAI BABA looked at him kindly and placed his hand on his head. He then gave him udhi with his blessings. The man felt relieved and his stomach ache was gone.

Nana Chandorkar an intimate devotee of SHREE SAI BABA suffered from stomach pain and could not be cured by doctors. SHREE SAI BABA asked him to eat barfi (sweet meat) mixed with ghee the strange unconventional medicine gave complete relief to Chandorkar.

Just imagine how lucky were those people who saw such prescription and who were treated by the God who walked on earth.
