Delhi : Lok Sabha - Manmad Railway Station has been identified as Model Station as well as Modern Station for the purpose of providing Upgraded Passenger Amenities. Various amenities provided at the Station include Retiring Room, Waiting Room with Bathing facility for Upper class, Second class and separate Waiting room for Ladies, Cloak room, Renovated water booths, Passenger Guidance System, Touch Screen Enquiry System etc.
As regards
Kopargaon Railway Station Minimum Essential Passenger Amenities
and other important amenities have been provided at this station.
Besides, the following works (costing Rs. 123.20 lakh) have been taken in hand and planned for completion by March 2010.
1. Provision of Ramp, Toilet, Water tap for Physically Challenged persons.
2. Provision of Pathway for Inter-Platform transfer for Physically Challenged persons.
3. Provision of Pipeline connection from the Network of Kopargaon Nagar Parishad.
Shirdi Sainagar Station is an important Tourist station and has been opened in February 2009.
Minimum Essential Amenities as per norms have been provided at this station.
Further, Upgradation of the Passenger Amenities commensurate with increase in Passenger Traffic is a continuous process
and the same is taken up under Annual Works Programme as per feasibility, relative priority and Availability of Funds.
This information was given by the Minister of State in the Ministry of Railways, Shri K.H. Muniyappa in a written reply in Lok Sabha today.
