  • OM SRI SAI RAM

    Puneet ji, Sai Ram

I, on behalf of all my Sai Bandhus welcome you to this online Sai Mandir - the Dwarakamai.

As for your dount on Non-Veg., to my knowledge, Baba never ever laid down any do's or dont's or restrictions in any respect.

His teachings are unique and varied from individual to individual.

As you might have read in SSC, he has given different kind of instuctions to different devotees.

And sometimes some of his instructions might seem contradictory since they were meant for different individuals.

The only universal principle / rule / regulation / instruction / teaching...let us call it any thing from Baba to all of us is,

    SHRADDHA AND SABURI

Have faith and wait patiently for suitable guidance from Baba ji.

    Baba bless U always
    Baba be with us all

    Jai Sai Ram

  • Om Sri Sai Ram..

    Dear Puneet ji,

Welcome to Dwarkamai..May Baba always bless you.
Let me tell you from my own personal experience...it's up to you to decide at the end of the day.
I used to love non-veg and had all kinds of non-veg food: meat, chicken, prawns, fish, ham etc..I couldn't imagine my life without non-veg...then suddenly when I started reading religious literature and knowing more about Baba ji and watching spiritual serials, I started changing. I read at several places and saw in religious serials that eating flesh is inhuman...it categorizes as animals...in fact Kaliyug (the current age) is described as an age when most of the wrong things will be happening: corruption, dowry, alcohol, rape, crimes etc...and most scriptures describe Kaluyug as an age when humans will eat flesh too.

I have personally given up non-veg food forever and I feel really happy about it. ..and I could never imagine myself turning into a vegetarian ever in my life. Now, the thought of eating someone's flesh and enjoying it hurts me...but again, its something personal.
As Kavita ji pointed out, Baba ji never said anything about non-veg food..not to my knowledge too

    God bless everyone
    Gaurav

  • There should be a strong inner call to give up eating Animal food. It requires self-introspection on ones willingness to adhere spiritual path in his life i.e. setting clear boundaries. If you want to live a good spiritual life then giving up on meat is good because Sattwic food induces fewer emotions of Lust, Anger etc.
When one has the vision of 'Universal brotherhood' that is soul of a Chicken and human is identical, it's much easy to abstain taking meat. Otherwise I think it is okay to stick to your wishes and eat any meat you like. People discriminate between a cow and a goat, which is pure sham for selfish reasons. Cow becomes 'Mata' cos it's used in Agriculture unlike goat!
    All, In my humble opinion.
Past and Future exist in the Mind. Present is the Only Reality. Mind loves habitual waiting to deny the present. Meditation helps one merge with Nature. One no longer feels Separate from the Whole. It is easy to live with the whole than against it.
Regular Meditation suppresses unwanted thoughts and strengthens the Mind. A less noisy mind is so near to God.

  • Om Shri Sainathaya Namah..........................

As Kavita Didi pointed out there is no restriction regarding in any respect.Only condition is that it should be offered to Baba first before eating.Baba said Anna(Food) is Brahma(God).Food should be eaten as Prasad or Nevada or offering of Baba.

Empty stomach is not good for any activity. So fast is also not recommended by Baba.

Baba also said Food should be eaten from the point of view of sustaining the body to reach the realization state and not to satisfy the taste buds(tongue).

In costal areas where u don't vegetable people eat fish and rice. They eat from point of view of nourishing body to do day to day work and not for satifying tongue.

As Gauravji has righty said that once you are totally with Baba with mind and body then automatically and gradually your urge to eat non veg will stop. Also u will start identifying with all animals and creatures.U heart will be filled with compassion for them and feeling of guilt will come to mind if eaten accidently.

Don't try to control urge to eat with force or will power but surrender it to Baba and Baba will take care.

    Om Shri Sainathaya Namah..........................
