Story of the Sai Baba Idol
Dear All, Sai Ram!
Baba has blessed me with a beautiful Idol of his miraculously on the day of Chennai Devotees’ Meet on 01.04.2007. (I am attaching the photo of the same in another post to this below.)
The story behind this idol, the making of the idol and the noble cause behind and above all the series of miracles these idols have been blessing the devotees with …all is amazing.
Thanks to the idea of MAHA UNION that has blessed me the association of a blessed soul like Ankita ji who has invited me to her house for Vaibhava Lakshmi Pooja on a Friday before the Sunday when the Chennai devotees meet had clicked. I was blessed to see photos, pics, several idols of Baba in her house in all most all sizes – smallest to life size. Of them, I liked the most one idol which they had placed separately facing north. Looking like a marble one, the one and a half foot idol was a great attraction of her house. Just before leaving, I asked Ramkiji – Ankita ji’s husband whether I can get a similar idol for me. Without a gap of a second, he said ”you will get it”. I was very happy at his reply and felt blessed.
On the day of meet, Mr &Mrs Ramkiji came to my house (we were to go together for the meet) and Ramkiji said your idol is ready, I will get it to my place on this Wednesday so that you can bring him (idol) to your house on Thursday from my house”. After we drove one fourth of our way to the Sai temple where the chennai devotee meet was planned, Mr.Ramki ji phoned ‘someone’ and confirmed that I was keen in taking and that the same can be delivered in his house on Wednesday.
Within 5 minutes 2-3 calls were exchanged between him and ‘someone’ while me and Ankita ji were busy sharing Baba’s leelas and a light chat with Pravin Bhai who was sitting in the front. At once Ramkiji said to our surprise that the Sai Baba idol has already started and it is on the way to the Sai Temple – from a distance of about 30 kms. The man behind this divine show - an aged man of 7 decades plus – Sh.Jagannathan - himself was coming along with Baba. It was a great shock and pleasant surprise but, surprisingly no tears in my eyes.
We all reached the temple felt happy to meet our other sai brothers and sisters, we went for dhooli darshan and requested the Poojari to place the idol that is on the way in the pooja and Aarati. At 6.15 the pooja and aarti starts in the temple while Jagannathan ji entered the temple at 6.05 pm sharp – soon after the Rahukalam had ended. A beautifully gift packed and intactly placed Baba idol was taken out. With chandan on his forehead and chrysanthimum flowers on his head Baba looked so lovely. We rushed to the Durbar Hall to avoid any delay and handed the idol over to the Poojariji.
Our prior plan of buying a small jasmine garland for Baba idol before placing inside was remembered then. When I said I ‘d ask Suresh ji to get one, Ankita ji said Baba will take care of it. We all entered the prayer hall and found the Idol nicely placed to the left side of the 6 ft. plus Idol of Baba in the Durbar hall. While several deovtees witnessed the pooja and Aarti we all felt so happy to notice a jasmine garland the poojari ji had already decorated Baba. That was an excellent moment. There were several varities of garlands available with him. Still Baba has preferred and wore the jasmine garland as per our plan. After our turn of darshan, we performed Archanas as it was earlier decided and went again to Baba for receiving the idol of Baba from the pujari ji.The timely and right advice by Ramki ji to honour the pujariji with dakshina was followed. By then, hardly few devotees were present there apart from 7 of us. All our eyes were stuck on the Baba’s idol since the pujari ji was bending and trying to lift him (Baba idol) to handover to me.
It happened then, no one knew, from where, a garland of pink oleander (ganneru / Arali - telugu) flowers slowly was dropping from the lap of Baba Statue and the Pujari ji exchanged looks of shock with us and was still in the same posture of bending in a shock while we were all too watching it. The garland slided a little down and then came on to the Right leg and left hand of the Baba statue (sitting posture Baba) and slowly slided into the neck of the Baba idol that was still in the hands of Pujari ji. We all were spell bound and the first one to open the silence was Jagannathan ji saying “blessed are we”.
It became difficult for me to hold my tears while all the gents of our team again took the darshan and went out after bowing to the Lotus feet of Baba.
While we - me, Deepa ji and Ankita ji were nearing the Lotus feet of Baba for a Namaskar, Ankita ji adviced me not to hold the tears and shed them out happily to enjoy every bit of that moment of happiness. I burst out feeling lighter. Too much of joy too makes us very heavy but this feeling that too in Baba’s presence is much awaited and desired. There was a flow of joyful tears while I kissed my Baba holding him like a 3 month old baby. He is just like a 3 month old baby by all means.
As we all came out, I felt I should pay atleast a little amount to Jagannathan ji (since I was not having much money) and offered him a Hundred Rupee note. My Thammudu Suresh who was standing at the back of me (rather supporting me) said to me “akka! Let me check if I have....” without waiting for my yes or no, took out his wallet and to the surprise of any one, he had just 5 notes of Rs.500 which was just sufficient to pay. This was another miracle.
Then we all went around – to Dwarakamai etc and read one para from SSC as a start. Suresh , my dear thammudu made few suggestions and others too shared their opinions. Then, We were blessed to hear about a brief story behind the Baba idols that Sh. Jagannathan ji is making.
I am blessed to have his auspicious presence in my house on the subsequent Thursday. He had given me a detailed story and I shall be posting them now on.

Do u remmber i also had experience during pooja on the day (28 march 07 which we all devotee did) at my place so i felt like he is blessing me n finally i found a pic in which he was really blessing .

THE STORY BEHIND THE MAKE OF THE SAIBABA IDOL

I feel blessed to share the story rather the Leelas behind the make of this Idol as narrated to me by Sh.Jagannathan - a staunch devotee of Baba.
This Saibaba idol is one and half foot high weighing 3 kgs. This is made up of fibre, hence, unbreakable and given a coat of white imported paint which is lasting. The idol has been designed and made with the purpose of doing Abhishekam every Thursday or on Pournami days the way it is performed inshirdi to Sai Baba.
Jagannathan ji who is a retired person aged abt seven decades and plus is an ardent devotee of Saibaba. It has been his strong desire to construct a Sai Temple and do annadanam to the poor and serve Baba padathirtham to all the devotees by his hand. His dream is to have such a temple where all the devotees would enjoy love and devotion to the utmost.
WIRE PULLER:
Baba - the wire puller has pulled this sweet hearted sparrow to his Lotus feet in 1991 through his son who had faced a problem in US in getting a job and struggled a lot. At one point of time, when he was surfing the net, the screen became blank and the picture of Shree Shirid Sainath appeared. To his surprise, this got repeated for three consaecutive days and many a time a message in english appeared giving the details of Saptah and Jagannathan ji's son Mr.Balaji who till then has been a devotee of Lord Venkateshwara thought it should be some message from Baba. Then, he decided to do parayan of SSC and downloaded it from the net and completed it within a week. On that fortunate wednesday of his completion of Parayana, he got a dream wherein, Baba appeared and holding the hand of Balaji, took him for a walk. The very next week, Balaji got an excellent job and he conveyed all this to Jagannathan ji on the next Sunday.

THE STORY BEHIND THE MAKE OF THE SAIBABA IDOL

I shall continue with the story further as below:
After hearing the experience of his son, Jagannathan ji, who had till then been worshipping Gods like Lord Ganesha. Lord Venkateshwara, Godess Kamakshi, thought for a while and told Baba that he would start the Parayana from the next day that is, Monday and would like to complete the same within three days. He prayed to Baba to show him some evidence.
Though he did start the parayana on Monday, by the end of Tuesday, he could complete just 22 chapters. He again expressed his wish to Baba his desire to complete by Wednesday and sought his help. On wednesday, he got up early and started the parayana. To his surprise, he did complete all the Chapters by the evening and was in tears of devotion and love for Baba.
The same night, he has been blessed with a Swapna Darshana of Baba and I shall make a detailed post of those details separately.
From that day, several problems in the family got resolved without much of his efforts. He was quite often blessed by Baba in dreams. Always and all the times Baba gave him darshan with an Abhaya Mudra. Even the pictures of Baba including those on the back of a lorry etc., that he would come across always had this Abhaya Mudra which was a unique feature.
Jagannathan ji prayed to Baba that though he had the desire of constructing Baba's temple, he is not capable financially and also otherwise and that he should at least be blessed by Baba to make his idols and give to Baba devotees. He thought of an idol just like that in Shiridi and that should be atleast one and a half ft. high so that the devotees can clearly see the facial features of Baba and feel his physical presence in the house. (It is like a small boy in a sitting posture).

Details of the Swapna Darshana:
After completion of the Parayana (as mentioned in the above post) within three days on that Wednesday, Maama ji (Jagannathan ji) offered Rava kesari (Sheera) as naivedyam to Baba and expressed his desires to Baba as below:
1. I want to get a 6ft idol of yours made of marble and install the same in a temple of 6 grounds' area ( one ground is abt. 2400 sft.)
2. Anna danam to the devotees be done with devotion in that temple.
3. Thirtham to all the devotees be given by my hand which should benefit all of them
4. I want to make an idol of one and half ft high and give by my hand to your devotees praying for their benefits and welfare.
5. Such devotees whosoever receives the idol from my hand should be blessed with SAKALA SOWBHAGYAM throughout their lives and shoud be blessed by you.
The same night Baba blessed him with a Swapna Darshana and told him to go ahead with the making of idols as desired and that all his other desires too would be fulfilled. Instead of getting surprised at this, Maamaji expressed to Baba his financial position and the doubt as to how the construction of the temple could be possible. Baba once again repeated "your desire will be fulfilled and your will construt a temple in 6 grounds and will install my idol of 6 ft. height and annandanam will be done on a grand scale in my (that) temple. Moreover my idol will be given thru your hands to my deovtees and those all will be happy throught". Saying this he disapperared.
Maama ji woke up in a shock and opened his eyes. This Swapna Darshana has made Maama ji (Jagannathan ji) more happy and though it appeared to him quite an unbelievable one. But, how can he not believe when Baba himself has given the assurance that the temple would surely constructed by him
This has become a big turning point in his life. And this also became a big evidence in his life.
Later, Maama ji has consulted a dye maker who happened to be his freind. Both of them sat together and planned to make such an idol which should never break and the devotees should be able to perform Abhishekam; hence decided upon to use fibre as the material.
For a period of 2 years Maama ji followed up with him and still the Baba idol was not getting ready up to their satisfaction. Even if it was Ok for Maamaji, the dye maker would not feel satisfied of its appearance. But, this is Baba's work and Baba knows when and how to get the things done.
After some days, as instructed by Shree Sai baba, in the month of Karthika in 2006 (a month as per the hindu calendar), in the Shukla Paksha which is considered generally as an auspicious one, on the very auspicious Thursday, the divine and beautiful baba idol has come to his pooja room. Maama ji has installed it facing the north. From that day, Maamaji has been doing pooja for every idol that has been made by him and giving to the devotees who ever wanted after praying and handing over by his hand.
Several devotees did experience miracles after receiving the Sai Baba Idol and reported the same to Maama ji and some have been published in Tamil Magazines.
"Where ever I am, happiness flowers" thru jagannathan Maamaji, Baba has proved this. The same way, Baba will definitely fulfill all the other wishes of Maama ji.
I shall give a translated version of the experiences of all those devotees who have received the idol from Maama ji in my subsequent posts.

Very nice to see ur mail on this auspicious Thursday requesting for a Sai Baba Idol.
I shall talk to Maama ji and get one arranged for you. Infact, 4,5 idols were sent to US at the request of devotees and so far more than 50 devotees have been blessed with these idols.
As you have rightly guessed, we have to order and then only the Idol is made for us since,
1. This is not done on a commercial basis,
2. The amount whatever is generated is pooled for the construction of the temple.
3. Before handing over the idol, Maama does pooja for the idol and then only passes it on to that particular family
4. They are accepting donations too if any offered for this noble cause.
Since you are coming to India, it is preferred to take the idol in person so that you can save on the courier charges too.

SAI BABA IDOL - MIRACLES
As I have mentioned in my above posts, Maamaji has been praying Baba for making the idols since 2005 and after struggling for 2 years, he has been blessed by Baba with the best result by 2006 end in the month of Karthik and that too on a Thursday. Once the first Idol has arrived, Maama has installed the same in his pooja room facing north and lighted a diya to the left side of the idol.
All the details of this idol have been in detail published in Gopura Darshanam – a tamil magazine in the month of Jan’07.
Mrs.Rajyalakshmi, in Chennai, is a upasaka of Goddess Parvathi and Maata Parvathi has been blessing her with darshana and also giving her answers to the problems of her various devotees. Many of her disciples and their relatives approach her for solution to their problems and she used to get the answers / solutions instantly from the Goddess. However close rather staunch of devotee any GOD / GODDESS one be, one can not certainly escape the resultant of Bad Karma. Rajyalakshmi ji has been suffering from impairment of hearing to such an extent that it was beyond any medical aid. Due to age, her health was also deteriorating and she could not do the pooja the deity properly.
Once she had suffered from severe problems and felt some one coming to beat her etc. and she wept infront of Goddess asking why this punishment to her having served the Goddess all these years. Then suddenly, she was blessed with the darshan of Goddess but, by her side, Shree Shirdi Sai Baba too appeared. She got astonished and asked the Goddess the meaning of this Darshan. Again the darshan repeated and both disappeared. The next day, she happened to see the Jan issue of Gopura Darshanam which has reached their house very late i.e, on 22 nd Feb instead of first week of Feb. She felt too happy to see the cover page which was Goddess herself. As she tried to open the pages, the page where the details of the Sai Baba idol were given got opened. So she correlated Goddess and Sai Baba darshan the previous night and went to Maama’s house with the help of her neighbour (since the address is given in the book).
After knowing about all the details of Sai baba idol, she wanted one from Maama and to her shock she carried with her exactly the same amount as of the Idol with her. Then, she has told Maama not to deposit that amount in the bank but, to keep near the idol in Maama’s pooja room and to use it for the Registration of the land that would be got by him for construction of Temple. At her invitation, Maama visited her house and she has confirmed that Maama, an ordinary middle class retired person, is sure to take up this huge task of construction of Sai Temple on a grand scale. After a week, Maama got a phone from her stating that her hearing is getting slowly restored after getting the idol and that she is able to daily bathe and do pooja of Goddess and Sainath. Even her doctor was all in surprise after checking the development in the hearing, Earlier, she could not hear the whistle of a cooker while now, she is able to talk over phone. Though she is responsible for renovation of some temples in Chennai, I am not mentioning about them here.
This Leela of Baba has really given lot of support to Maama too as regards his desire of construction of temple in Anna nagar, Chennai.

Only the otherday say 2 days back I was asking my cousin who is going to Shirdi whethet it was possible to get 1 to 1 to one and half feet marble statue of baba. He said it will be difficult for him because of its weight and today , I saw your post and felt so happy as though I have received the idol and THAT BABAIS LISTENING TO ME. pLEASE SEND ME THE PHOTO TO MY MAILAAS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
