जय सांई राम।।।

मैं माली को बीज बोते देखता हूं। फिर, वह खाद देता है। पानी देता है और फूलों के आने की प्रतीक्षा करता है। फूल खींचकर जबरदस्ती पौधों में नहीं निकाले जाते हैं। उनकी तो धीरज से प्रतीक्षा करनी होती है।

ऐसे ही बाबा के बीज भी बोने होते हैं। ऐसे ही दिव्य जीवन के फूलों को खिलने की भी राह देखनी होती है।

जो इसके विपरीत चलता है और अधैर्य प्रकट करता है, वह कहीं भी नहीं पहुंच पाता है। अधैर्य उस विकास के लिए अच्छी खाद नहीं है।

शांति से, धैर्य, प्रीति और श्रध्दा और सबूरी से प्रतीक्षा करने पर किसी सुबह अनायास ही फूल खिल जाते हैं,  और उनकी गंध जीवन के आंगन को सुवासित कर देती है।

अनंत के फूलों के लिए अनंत प्रतीक्षा अपेक्षित है। पर यह स्मरण रहे कि जो उतनी प्रतीक्षा के लिए तत्पर होता है, उसकी प्राप्ति का समय तत्क्षण आ जाता है। अनंत श्रध्दा और सबूरी ही अनंत पाने की एक मात्र शर्त है। उस शर्त के पूरा होते ही बाबा उपलब्ध हो जाते हैं। उन्हें कहीं बाहर से थोड़ा ही आना है। बाबा तो भीतर का ही विकास है। वो तो मौजूद ही है। पर अधैर्य और अशांति के कारण हम उन्हें नहीं देख पाते हैं।

श्रद्धा और सबुरी में बहुत गहरा सम्बन्ध है
यह दोनों ही हमे मालिक के करीब लाती है,मालिक को प्राप्त करने का यह मुख्य साधन है
श्रद्धा का अर्थ है विश्वास कि (ईश्वर मे आस्था)अगर दिल में साची श्रद्धा होती है देर से ही सही  मालिक ज़रुर सुनता है,यह नही कि अपना काम पूरा करने के लिए मन में श्रद्धा जगाई और अगर काम पूरा नही हुआ तोह श्रद्धा खत्म कर दी ,यह श्रद्धा नही है श्रद्धा तोह वैह होती है जिसमे कोई इचा करे बगैर सचे मन से  ईश्वर की भक्ति हो , विपरीत परिस्थी में भी आस्था में कमी न आए ,अछा और बुरा जो होता है यह तोह कर्मो का फल है,अगर मन में सची श्रद्धा होगी तोह मालिक जरुर सुनेगा ,एक बार उसने हाथ थाम लिया तोह यह सुख व दुःख कुछ मायने नही रखता उसकी कृपा एक बारी मिल्गयी तोह सारे काम बगरसोचे पूरे हो जायेंगे
वेस्हे ही सबुरी का अर्थ है सबर हमे मन में सबर भी रखना चाहिए.अगर हमने परिश्रम किया है तोह ज़रुर एक न एक दिन हमे उसका फल मिलेगा,चाहे देर से मिले पर जो मालिक की मरजी से मिलता है उसका यश अलग ही होता है
इश्लिये आईये हमसब मिलकर  आज अपने मन में श्रद्धा और सबुरी का साचादीपक जलाये और उसे बाबा के चरणों में समर्पित करे जिसे हमारा जीवन सार्थक हो सके ........ॐ साई राम

उज्जैन नगरी में एक महात्मा रहते थे! वे बड़े ज्ञानी थे! रोज श्रद्धालुओ को प्रवचन देते और ज्ञान की बातें सिखाते थे! उन साधू के पास एक भोला सा लड़का मोहन खाना बनाया करता था! उससे सब्जी में नमक अक्सर तेज हो जाया करता था! इस कारन महात्मा को क्रोध आ जाता था! बहुत बार समझाने के बाद भी वह सब्जी में नमक की मात्रा सही नही डाल पाता था! एक दिन महात्मा ने भोजन करने के पश्चात मोहन की सब्जी में बहुत सा नमक मिला दिया!

मोहन जब भोजन करने बैठा, तो वे देखने लगे कि अब इसे भी नमक ज्यादा होने पर गुस्सा आएगा! लेकिन यह क्या?....मोहन तो बड़े मजे से खाना खा रहा था!

महात्मा ने पूछा - सब्जी में नमक तो बहुत ज्यादा है, तुम कैसे खा रहे हो? मोहन ने बड़ी शालीनता से जबाव दिया - महाराज ! सब्जी में नमक ज्यादा है, तो सब्जी कम मात्रा में लेकर खाने से नमक का स्वाद सही लग रहा है! आपने ही तो बताया है कि हमें हर परिस्थिति में खुश रहना आना चाहिए! महात्मा बोले - मैं तो रोज सबको ज्ञान का उपदेश देता हूँ लेकिन सच्चा ज्ञानी तो तू है! आज मुझे सत्य का ज्ञान मिला है!

आइये बाबा से हम दुआ करे कि वो हमे ऐसी शक्ति दें कि अपने आपको हम हर परिस्थिति में ढाल सकें!  यही खुश रहने का मंत्र है!

श्रद्धा जब पैदा होती है, तब मार्ग की सभी बाधाओं को निर्मूल कर देती है। फलत: चित्त मुक्त, आनंदित और निर्मल हो जाता है। इस लिये "चित्त में आनन्द पैदा कर देना" - यही श्रद्धा की पहचान है।

Faith and Patience

The faith and patience are the corner stone of Baba's spiritual teaching to his devotees. Chapter 18/19 gives an account of the unique way of Baba's expression of the importance of faith and patience. Mrs. Radha Bai Deshmukh, an old woman comes to Shirdi from Sangamner. Her faith on Baba was total. She wanted to make Baba her guru and take Guru mantra from him. She decided to take fast and started fasting in the place of her stay until Baba accepts to be her Guru. Baba devotees in Shirdi were afraid of the condition of Radha Bai. They were worried that if something happens to Radha Bai, Baba will be held responsible for it. They therefore requested Baba to take care of Radha Bai Deshmukh. Baba knowing the unflinching determination of Radha Bai called her and wanted to transform her mind. Baba said to her, "Mother Why do you want give trouble to your body and invite death? Be kind to me and listen attentively to what I say. I will tell you my own story, if you listen it carefully, you will get everlasting peace. My Guru was a siddha, a very kind and compassionate person. I was serving him for a long time but he did not give any mantra to me. As you are interested to get mantra from me, I also wanted to get Guru mantra from him by any means. But his ways were different; he asked me to do Mundan and demanded two paise as Daksina. You may ask that if he was selfless, why should he ask me two paise as Daksina? He never cared for wealth even in his dream. The meaning of his two paise as Dakshina is a) Faith b) Patience.

When I gave these two things to my Guru as Dakshina, my guru was overwhelmed with joy. I served his lotus feet for twelve long years. He gave me food, clothing and lodging. He was an incarnation of love. An image of love. His love towards me is indescribable. My Guru is not comparable. Day and Night, I always find him meditating. When I used to stare at him, we both experienced and enjoyed paramananda. I felt neither hungry nor thirsty, even when I stared at him all days and all nights. I used to be disturbed when I could not have his Darshana. I was always meditating him. This is what is meant by faith. Patience is another virtue of spiritual aspirant. I was serving Guru for many years with patience. Patience is the virtue, which can make you cross the seven seas. All sins and attachments can be destroyed with the help of patience. Patience is the virtue through which we can reach Paramartha".

Faith and Patience are the two Paths to Reach God Sai Baba
(As appeared in the Dwarakamayi Magazine Published from Hyderabad August 1989)

Sai Baba, the sage of Shirdi, has been pouring out his divine love and blessings to thousands and hun­dreds of thousands since 1845. The unending stream of devotees at Shirdi day in and day out is but a manifestation of divine Love, Compassion and Pitv. Sai Baba is the most powerfull sage, who bears all the burdens of humanity.

Like all great teachers Sai Baba has rightly been claimed as the Mother of all virtues. Baba often told his devotees ''Your servant's servant l am. lam your debtor". I am purified by your darshan. It is a great grace on your part to have given Me the sight of your feet".

Lord Sai Baba often preached that the attitude of "I" and "Mine'' are the result of ignorance. The right attitude born of knowledge is that God is the Master and that all things belongs to Him - Once Rama asked Hanuman "How do you like on me? Hanuman replied. "0 Rama, as long as I have the feeling of "I", I see that you are the whole and I am a part, you are the Master and I am you". Thus the first step in the life of a devotee is humility.

Self surrender marks the next step of a devotee. A devotee has to surrender to God himself wholly and exclusively, including his five senses-Then he beco­mes a personal servant of God. The entire responsi­bility for his Maintenance and protection is taken up by the Lord. In BHAQVAD GlTA Lord Kriehna said

"0 Arjuna. take refuge in Me. I shall deliver you from all sins". Lord Sai Baba also said, "Cast all your burdens on Me and I shall bear them',. Also as prea­ched by Lord Krishna to Arjuna, Baba also said, "Do your duty and leave the rest to me" Because once the devotee becomes free from sin and misery, as all his actions are performed as divine duty without a thought for the result. Let all the works be God's works all the thoughts, words and deeds are centered in God. Everyone should see God in every thing and every thing in God, loves all beings in the universe as manifestation of God. Thus, the natural results of this self surrender are intense devotion towards God and love towards all beings in the universe, such a devotee has no disappointments in life and has no fear of death.

BABA often used to say that once a person has faith in God, he has achieved everything. There is nothing greater than faith. The devotee's heart is full of virtues like forgiveness, spirit of non-vio­lence, Compassion and love. Thus, these are the virtues of the hero and the characteristic of a true devotee is a courageous patience or Saburi as Sai Baba has put it. Sainath said "surrender yourself comp­letely your body and soul to God.'' One, who has abundant faith (Nishta) and courageous patience (Saburi), will achieve anything what they want through the attainment of God Sai Baba

Hence, Faith, Patience and Love are the ways to fulfill our Material goals as well as to reach 'Moksha'

Shraddha

'Shraddha' in a Sanskrit word, which has no equivalent in English, at best it can be understood as, faith with love and reverence. Such faith or trust is generated out of conviction, which may not be the result of any rational belief or intellectual wisdom, but a spiritual inspiration.  Baba sowed the seeds of spiritual inspiration in the hearts of people who knew of him.  This Divine inspiration was so instant and profound that they automatically took refuge in Him.

Baba reiterated that steadfast love in God as the gateway to eternity.  He used the instance of mother tortoise to illustrate this point.  The mother - tortoise may be on the other side of the river, whereas her children are on the far side.  She does not transfer food and water to her children by way of her loving glances.  Yet, her loving looks are enough to protect the children. Similarly, people who lovingly look at God get His reciprocity.  God's looks offer peace, protection and prosperity for His children.  Baba's teaching, both direct and indirect explicate the significance of 'Shraddha'.  Baba reiterates the spiritual guidance of Shri Krishna to Arjun - "Who-so ever offer to Me with love or devotion, a leaf, a flower, a fruit or water, that offering of pure love is readily accepted by Me".


Saburi

'Saburi'; is patience and perseverance.  Saburi is a quality needed throughout the path to reach the goal.  This quality must be ingrained in a seeker from day one, least he looses his stride and leaves the path half way.  As a hunter waits patiently and motionlessly for his target a devotee too has to wait patiently for attaining his goal.  There are many trying situations in life.  A test may come in the form of frustration, distress, agony, illness, mishaps, prolonged wait or a loss.  In such moments we should seek support from the Master and hold on him.

If patience means anything it should last till the end, and faith will see us through every turmoil of life.

Shraddha...Saburi

OM SAI NATHYA NAMAH! The world is changing fast, faster than we can imagine. Let us ask this Question to ourselves, Who is changing the world? The Answer is We i.e. Humans. Human History is full of good and bad deeds. Just look at our history and we will conclude that it is only because of our greed, our ego, our disbelief, and our impatience that we have had so much bloodshed. We created religion according to our belief. Religion was made so that we follow the path that GOD has spelt for us. Does any of the religion teach us to fight, quarrel or harm anyone? Does these religions teach us that we have to satisfy an individuals ego? Have any of the humans who has caused bloodshed or for that matter harm to others, succeeded? They have failed miserably. This is the fate that HE has chosen for ill doers, for all of us who do not follow in HIS specified path.

HE after a good amount of thought has sent us to this world. We find that, HIS world is full of creatures that HE has found suitable. We are part of HIS Universal Family. HE has taken so much care in giving us our form. HE has also been kind enough to give us what other creatures in this Universe lack, (a) Thought, (b) Speech. And what are we doing with it? Are we using it in the right manner, as HE wanted us to do it? We have misused the greatest gift that we possess. The world that we see today is what we have made it. Every individual in his / her capacity has contributed towards either developing it or causing harm to it. It would have been much better if we had used our gifts positively.

HE through his messengers, who have come repeatedly, has tried to explain us what HE requires from us. Noticing our weakness, many a times HE has personally come to us to give HIS message. But we have failed to understand these messages. This time HE came to us as SAI BABA and chose SHRIDI as HIS ABODE from where HE showed us our correct path. During HIS stay in SHRIDI, HE specifically spelt out his two important messages for all of us i.e. SHRADHA and SABURI. SHRADHA means faith, belief, and SABURI means patience. We only have to be patient and have faith in HIM; he will take care of the rest. If all of us practice it in our day-to-day life, we will never be depressed, loose self-control and will always lead a happy life. SAI Baba's two messages SHRADHA and SABURI is actually what life is and what one should do in life, if they wish to live in harmony and peace with all living beings. These messages have come from Baba's mouth directly and he requires nothing else from any individual who believes and prays to him. Even to people who are iconoclastic by nature, BABA always finds a way so that they believe in HIS presence.

SHRADHA and SABURI will give us the power to face all the ups and down's of life. To start with never forget to offer your prayers every morning and evening to SAI BABA. You can pray as per your own way or method. There is no prescribed format for prayer to be done for SAI BABA. In Baba's words, he likes your faith in him more rather than the method of prayer. Always make it a point to meditate after your prayer or any time found suitable. While meditating, it is necessary that you see the world becoming idyllic. See peace and love flowing like waterfall from Baba's lotus hands and feet, see it and feel it everywhere around you and in you.

We have to accept this fact that we as humans, do tend to make mistakes, but it is these mistakes on our part, which shows us the right path, if at all we take it in right spirit and try to understand where we went wrong. Let all of us combine our faith and belief together and make this world a better place to live. We have to do it for our self, for others who are part of this world and also for our future generation. If all of us join together and try to change this world, we will see a lot of difference. Instead of bloodshed, there will be peace, instead of greed there will be love and more important belief in self, in humans and SAI BABA. We will live with each other only with SHRADHA and SABURI. Each one of us will be a power to reckon with and will play an important part in making this world an idyllic and a better living center. OM SAI! JAI JAI SAI! SAI SAI! NAMAH NAMAH!
