Jai Sai Ram.
Dear Vishwanath Bhai,
I waited a couple of days for some devotee to respond to your concern, mainly the ones you clearly indicated in your anguished posts. Since nobody took the trouble to do so, I am compelled to say a few humble words to this gathering of Sai devotees:
It is absolutely true that some devotees treat others with disdain and disrespect. I have personally noted this tendency in some among us to write arrogantly and with little respect for the devotee's sentiments. As much as it hurts to see spiritual arrogance in a few among us, perhaps borne out of our spiritual or related knowledge, it does not reflect well on our spiritual conduct. One of the pitfalls on this path is arrogance, which sneaks in quietly without the aspirant knowing about it. It is the feeling that one 'knows' more than others; and, that one is ahead of others spiritually. This arrogance shows in various ways, such as----how one addresses the fellow devotees, or does not take the trouble to respond to them at all; responding to some devotees with respect and promptness, and not doing so to others; showing acceptance to some devotees, and not to others; wishing some devotees well on some special occasions, and not the others. In short, showing biases, favoritism, disrespect, condescension and what not. I can very well imagine how ordinary devotees like me feel when administrator and moderators show this attitude. The whole purpose of this online temple is lost when we indulge in such practices of lower nature.
Vishwanath Bhai, I asked you on earlier occasions to remain focused on Baba, and not mind the conduct of the fellow devotees. I would like to request you to do so even now. I accept that there are some among us whose egos are puffed up, but Baba has a way to bring us down to earth. Please leave the issue to the Master, and keep your mind and eyes focused on Him alone.
I would also like to take the liberty to apologize on behalf of the administrator, moderators and helpers if some of us made you feel disrespected. Kindly forgive us, and continue being a part of this forum.
Om Sai Ram.
