    08th May`2011

    Indian cricket opener Virender Sehwag visited the famous Shirdi Sai Baba temple
     in Maharashtra's Ahmednagar district on Sunday 08th May`2011.
    Sehwag reached Shirdi by Helicopter and then drove to the Sai Temple in a police jeep.

    Shirdi Sai Baba Sansthan's Chairperson Jayant Sasane, Maharashtra minister Radhakrishna-Vikhe Patil,
    Trustee  Suresh Wable and Ashok Khambekar felicitated Virendra Sehwagh
    and offered him Shri Sai Baba's Idol, Sai Baba's Gold Coin, Shawl and a Coconut after he had Baba's Darshan.

     visited Shirdi to take Shri Sai Baba Samadhi's darshan & offered the film role at Baba's feet in Shirdi.
    At that time Public Relation Officer of Sansthan Mr. Mohan Yadav was also present.

    Cine Star Mithun Chakraborty visited Shirdi to seek Baba's Blessings and offer his prayers.
    He said that he had made a wish that he would visit Sai Baba @ Shirdi if his son Mimoh's movie fared well.
    And so he was here in Shirdi with his Family to offer his gratitude to Baba.

    • - P.CHIDAMBARAM VISITS SHIRDI TO SEEK BABA'S BLESSINGS -
    28th May`2011

    On Saturday 28th May`2011, Union home minister P.Chidambaram visited Shirdi to offer prayers and seek Sai Baba's Blessings.
    He performed a small Aarti of Sai Baba.
    Elaborate security arrangements have been made in the temple.
    Meanwhile, the management has ensured that the devotees donot suffer on the account of movement of VVIP.
    Chairman Of Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust Mr.Jayant Sasane, Trustee Of Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust Mr.Krishnachandra Pandey,
    Mr.Ashok Khambekar, President Of Shirdi Nagarpanchayat Mrs.Alka Shejwal were present.
    Chidambaram was later felicitated by Chairman Of the Trust Mr.Jayant Sasane.
    He promised to speed up the old pending matter of giving Shirdi its own dedicated police station headed by
    the Officer of the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police & 50 police personnel, solely to look into the security aspect of the temple.
    He had a meeting with trustees and the police personnel, where he asked to take the review of security and to make a blue print.

    BEFORE LEADING MATCHES AGAINST WEST INDIES

    On Tuesday 31st May`2011 morning, cricketer Suresh Raina, a Devotee of Sai Baba, visited the Sai Baba Temple @ Shirdi.
    Suresh Raina is going to captain India during the one-day leg of their upcoming West Indies tour.
    The absence of senior players has given Suresh Raina an unlikely opportunity of leading India's ODI squad
    and the left-handed batsman has certainly made an auspicious start.

    So before leaving for West-Indies tonight to play the ODI and T20 Matches against the West Indies,
    Suresh Raina sought Sai Baba's blessings @ Shirdi.
    He was accompanied by India's Union Minister Mr.Praful Patel's daughter, Ms.Poorna Patel.
    Both of them had Baba's Samadhi Darshan and together performed a small Aarti of Baba.
    The Sai Trust Management later facilitated Raina with Prasad, Sai Baba embossed Gold Coin and Sai Baba's Idol.

    Suresh Raina had visited Shirdi earlier this year also, once before the start of the cricket World Cup Series 2011
    & once after winning the Cricket World Cup Championship.
    However, in this visit Raina did not interact with the media, who had gathered there.

    On 2nd June`2011 Thursday Evening,
    Cricketer Zaheer Khan paid obeisance at the Samadhi mandir of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba temple.

    Accompanied by friends, Zaheer Khan stayed in the Sansthan for around one hour.
    After offering prayers at Baba's Samadhi mandir, Zaheer Khan went towards Dwarkamai and Chawdi.
    Later he was facilitated by the Trust with a Shawl, prasad, Sai Baba's Idol and a Sai Baba image embossed Gold Coin.

    Zaheer Khan who hails from Shri Rampur village here, said :
    "Though his blessings are always with me and our team all the times.
    But, yes I don't have words to express my feelings while being in the complex, especially at Samadhi mandir''

    The Chairman of the Sai Trust managing Shirdi Saibaba Sansthan,
    reiterated the Sansthan's commitment of honoring members of the World Cup champions team.
    The Trust will also honour master blaster Sachin Tendulkar with a Sai Ratna.

    18th June`2011

    The Director General of Maharashtra Police Shri.Ajit Parasnis visited Shirdi on 18th June 2011 and had darshan of Sai Baba.
    After the darshan, he was felicitated by the Chairman of Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust, Shri.Jayant Sasane.

    Shri.Ajit Parasnis reviewed the security set-up in and around the Sai Baba temple.
    Parasnis held a meeting with Superintendent of Police, Ahmednagar, and other police officers, police.
     He also inspected the security arrangements in the temple premises, including the CCTV network.

    The top cop gave instructions to the local police regarding curbing mobile phone thefts and pick-pocketing in the town,
    which is visited by lakhs of devotees all year round. He also discussed the issue of illegal constructions in the area.
     
    In view of the DGP's visit, the entire police force was galvanized. As per protocol, during a DGP's official visit it is mandatory
    for the inspector general of the concerned range, and the commissioner or superintendent of police,
    to remain present and brief the DGP on the law-and-order situation in the area, political situation and recent incidents.
    At media briefings, Parasnis told scribes that he was praying for the safety of the state and people of Maharashtra.

    Singer Sukhwinder Singh, who is an ardent devotee of Sai Baba visits Shirdi whenever the mood strikes him.
    Recently he cut a Sai Bhajans album "‘Sai Ram" as a tribute to other devotees of Sainath.
    He said “many times I have seen people travelling to Shirdi on foot. They cover great distances to get one glance of baba in Shirdi.
    And to get the energy to walk, these groups play songs on Baba. So I decided to cut fresh peppy Sai Bhajans."

    And what better way to Launch his Album than @ Shirdi.
    On 05th July`2011 Sukhwinder visited Shirdi to seek Blessings for his new Sai Bhajan Album.
    He said that he would offer the profits made from this Album to Sai Baba.
