    10th Mar`2014

    On 08th Mar`2014, the current Defence Secretary of Sri Lanka and Chairman of Lanka Hospitals,
    Mr.Gotabaya Rajapaksa visited Shirdi with his family to have Sai Baba's Samadhi Darshan.
    Later they were felicitated by the Sansthan with a Shawl and Prasad.

    28th Mar`2014

    On Thursday 27th Mar`2014, a day after deciding to contest elections independently,
    Bollywood actress Rakhi Sawant visited Shirdi & offered prayers at the Sai Baba Temple.
    She is going to contest the 2014 Lok Sabha election from the Mumbai North-West constituency
    and wants to restore women's safety in the metro city. After having Darshan of Baba's Samadhi,
    she was felicitated by the Sansthan with a Shawl & prasad. Later she spoke to the media
    and said that Baba will definitely grant what she has prayed for.

    • - RAHUL GANDHI OFFERS PRAYERS @ SHIRDI -
    15th April`2014

    On 14th April`2014, the Vice President of the Indian National Congress party Rahul Gandhi visited Shirdi.
    He took Baba's Darshan and did Aarti too at Baba's Samadhi. He was later felicitated by the Sai Sansthan
    and was given a Marble Idol of Sai Baba encases in a glass box along-with a Shri Sai Satcharitra.
    He spent around 20 minutes @ the Sai Temple, whilst the other devotees were kept waiting for darshan in the queues.

    He was on a Maharashtra Tour intensively campaigning ahead of the crucial Lok Sabha elections`2014.
    Since last 2 days all the Hotels, lodges etc in Shirdi were being strictly under check.
    After Baba's darshan, Rahul held a rally in Shirdi before proceeding for Loni in the evening
    and then back to Shirdi to stay in a 5 star hotel, which was under strict security during his stay there.
    Accompanying him were Maharashtra's Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan,
    Agriculture Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil,
    President of the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee Manikrao Thakre
    and the district unit president and ex-chairman of Shirdi Sai Baba Sansthan Jayant Sasane.

    many Ministers headed straight to Shirdi to seek Sai Baba's Blessings for their victory.

    On 15th May`2014, Union Minister and NCP leader Shri.Praful Patel,
    BJP's Poonam Mahajan & Congress candidate from Pune Vishwajit Kadam visited Shirdi.

    On 12th May`2014, Former Prime Minister of India Shri.H.D.Deve Gowda visited Shirdi.
    On 11th May`2014, Senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde visited Shirdi.
    On 14th April`2014, the Vice President of the Indian National Congress party Rahul Gandhi visited Shirdi.

    Speaking to media, Praful Patel said that as it is time for results,
    the nation must show 'Saburi' (patience) – a message given by Saibaba and accept the result.
