A new scam has been bought to light by the people of Sai Palki yatras from Mumbai/Thane region,
who come to Shirdi in large numbers in Cars and Buses with the Sai Palki's.
And in Shirdi they preferred to stay in phase 2 of the recently inaugurated 'Sai Ashram', built
specifically for such huge groups of devotees who accompany various Sai Palki's to Shirdi.
Each of the 6 blocks of this 'Sai Ashram' phase 2 consists of 192 large dormitories,
with each dorm able to accommodate 21 people at a time,
The per day charges for each dorm is Rs.10/- only.
But these Sai Palki devotees allege that while they are paying only Rs.10/- for the dorm
they are, without permission, being forced to pay Rs.100/- per Car for the Parking !
And owing to the caravan of Vehicles (Cars & Buses) that accompany the Sai Palki's,
they have to pay far more than what they pay for their stay.
The devotees are confused as to who is actually in charge of collecting the Parking Charges -
the Shirdi Sai Sansthan or some outsider? because the Car Parking receipt given,
is in the name of some 'Sai Malar Chalak Sanghatana' and if this is the case,
then who has given them the contract to do so at such rates, without prior notice.
The Palki Yatra devotees have approached & deposited the Parking Receipt
with the Shirdi Sansthan and sought clarifications on this matter.
