A Telugu film on Shirdi Sai Baba Om Sairam", produced & directed by Srinivas GLB,
under the banner of Sri Malladi Venkateswara Films was launched at Annapurna Studios recently.
Senior producer Achireddy gave the clap, while V Sagar switched on the camera for the muhurat shot picturised
under the honorary direction of V Samudra.

While Kota plays a Hindu devotee, Rao Ramesh plays a Muslim devotee of the Baba.  
The director-producer said that it felt blessed to be making the film on the world-famous saint-god,
as it was His decree which gave in his dream.

This is one of the rare films on Sai Baba, in which mainstream actors will be seen in good number.  
The onus is on Srinivas to make the film in a new way, so it becomes a devotional flick to watch out for.  
The film is understood to portray the syncretic influence of Sai Baba.

The producer cum director says, "We are bringing out the film with the real life experiences of Shirdi Sai devotees.
We will continue shooting for about four days initially. Later, we will continue the regular shooting from the first week of April."

Co-producer Kothuru Satrughnudu says, "We are producing the film following a message from the Baba.
We are confident that the film would attract all the audiences in general and Shirdi Sai devotees in particular."
Dialogue writer Polur Ghatikachalam says,
"None of the characters in the film is unnecessary and each character will have its independent recognition."

TELUGU MOVIE "OM SAI RAM" TITLE CHANGED TO
~ "JAI SAMARTHA SADGURU SAINATHA" ~
18th Sept`2010

Sri Malladi Venkateswara Films is making a film based on the experiences of the devotees of Sai Baba.
The film is titled as 'Jai Samartha Sadguru Sainatha'.
The film is being made under the supervision of Sri Sai Srinivasa Trust. The film is directed by Srinivas GLB.
The current schedule of the film was commenced on Friday at Sarathi Studios.

"As the experiences of the devotees are countless we selected few of them and trying to put them onscreen," said the director.
He revealed about the wish to shoot the film in a Sai Baba Temple in every district of the state.

He informed that the film was initially titled as 'Om Sai Ram'.
He added saying that the title was changed to 'Jai Samartha Sadguru Sainatha' being advised by certain devotees.

The movie is made in Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages.
