  • In Dec`2013, the Annual Balance Sheet of the Sai Baba Sansthan Trust`Shirdi, was tabled in the Maharashtra Legislature.
    With earning an income of Rs.3,33,07,70,609, the Trust has become richer by over Rs.200 crore in the financial year 2012-13.
    The Income is Rs.230 crore more than the Expenditure.

    The Shirdi Temple Trust earned revenue from rent, interest on saving bank accounts
    & investments, donations from devotees & income from other sources.
    In the previous year, the total earnings of the Trust were Rs.273.69 crore.
    The Balance Sheet shows that their Income has increased by nearly Rs.60 crore this year.

    During the year under review, a surplus of Rs.2,30,12,23,646 was credited to
    Income and Expenditure Appropriation Account said auditor Kochar and Associates.
     The balances of the Trust have increased from Rs.605. 92 crore to Rs.836.04 crore.

    The Shirdi Trust earned Rs.60.16 lakh from Religious receipts.
    Its donations stood at Rs.241 crore, including
    Rs.187 crore received from charity boxes,
    Rs.45 crore general donation and Rs.8.37 crore donation in kind.

    There was an increase of Rs.13.84 crore worth of ornaments in the Trust’s assets.
    The total worth of the ornaments and jewellery with the Trust is Rs.63.33 crore.

    Total investment of the Trust also increased from Rs.627.56 crore to Rs.860.75 crore,
    with Rs.150 crore invested in Kisan Vikas Patra
    and Rs.859.26 crore invested in Fixed-Deposits with Nationalized banks.

    The Nagpur bench of the Bombay high court had on 13th March`2012 passed an interim order that the affairs
    of the Shirdi Temple Trust shall be looked after and managed by the committee appointed by the court.
    The committee includes the Principal district Judge of Ahmednagar,
    Collector of Ahmednagar and Chief Executive Officer appointed by the high court.
