On Thursday 01st Dec`2011, India's Union Railway Minister Shri K.H.Muniyappa, accompanied by his family members,
railway officers and railway police/security guards, visited Shirdi to pay their obeisance to Baba.
During Baba's Madhyan Aarti some Guards/Railway police went inside Baba's Samadhi Temple
with the Minister, while the others waited outside. But by mistake one of the Minister's Railway Police guard
left his Loaded Carbine Machine Gun unattended outside, near a Tree, next to the Temple's VIP Entrance.

This incident is being seen as a major Security Lapse which could have resulted in a potential security issue / accident,
had this Loaded Gun fallen in the wrong Hands especially because:
1) The Machine Gun was left Unattended for approx 20-25 mins amidst the scores of Devotees present there including children.
2) Shirdi has been on a High Security alert since quite some time owing to the terror threats in India.
