Divine incarnations such as Sri Saibaba do not need to resort to blackmail to spread his name by promises of wealth and warnings of punishment. As Sri Upasani Baba said the nature of Sri Saibaba is, “Ahambhava heenam prasannaatma bhavam (one without ego and one who is ever kind)” Baba himself has stated that, the purpose of his incarnation is to bless the devotees with his grace, “My mission is to give blessings”. He also said that he would never be angry with any one. The grace of Baba is ever falling on us as a waterfall, but it is our ignorance which acting as an umbrella obstructs us from receiving it in the full measure. If we surrender to Baba with the felling of exclusive love for him only and single-minded devotion, the obstruction is removed and we receive his grace in full measure.
To think that one will get Baba’s grace by passing on the letter to 10 or 20 people, and to do that with a feeling of fear is foolish. It is an insult to the divine Baba that he would be angry if we do not do that and will, like devil harm us. It is those who do not even know the basics of spiritual sadhana or the teachings of Sri Saibaba who initiate these letters. Some seek to justify this by saying, "What they are asking us to do is to write the holy name of Sri Saibaba. What harm is in that? What do we lose by doing so?” It is sheer delusion to believe that to pass along such anonymous letters, like a coward, would constitute service to Baba. It seeks to degrade us to the level of the ignorant persons so lacking in self respect that we would stoop to the level of sending anonymous letters like cowards.
Any encouragement given by us to this foolish practice would be a transgression against the tradition of devotion to Sri Saibaba. The only solution to those who receive these letters is- tear them up and consign them to the waste paper basket or delete them.

Thats truly said. In one form it is fanning the superstition. And how could baba who discouraged astrology encourage such superstition. There is also an incident in the SSC where people try to stop a cart load of firewood entering the village as an measure to prevent cholera. And baba puts it down. So is this. Baba will never tolerate this. Letter, SMS, Chain mail are foolish ways.

I used to recieve such mails and without much thought used to fwd. Now I have stopped doing this since a long time - whether its a Sai Baba ji's mail or Ganesha ji's etc chain mail.

I just delete them without going into details. But yes before deleting I save the picture if it is not in my favourites. I just ignore them without giving any second thought or guilt and put them into dustbins. MY BABA SAI is beyond all these gimmicries of fools.....plying foolish games in the name of relegion.

Some time ago, we all did share our opinion on this topic that is
"Sending / Receiving Chain mails".
Oflate, I have been receiving this kind chain mails unfortunately from our members also wherein the name and Photos of our Shirdi Sai Nath are also often used threatening us to forward such mail to 5,7,11 or 21 within a specified time.
These mails also list different kinds of benefits the sender / forwarder gets such as
a) if sent to 5 you will get a good news within ten minutes,
b) if sent to 10, you will get some financial benefits
.
.
.
.
n) If sent to 101, you are sure to witness a miracle within 24 hours.
Then the threatening part of it also follows such as some calamity would befall on the family if such mail was ignored.
I wish to add my opinion once again that No God or Guru will punish us for such silly matters.
Neither we can get any benefits from acts such as just by forwarding chain mails.
It amounts to waste of time, energy AND casusing inconvenience to others.
The good and bad done by us give us the results and not these mails.
One more very important thing that to be noted by all of us in my opinion is, every one is not that strong minded. These chain mails are nothing but a sort of mindgames. It is an attempt on the weakminded to make them more weaker. With a fear that something 'bad' might happen, the receiver of such chain mails immediately forwards it.
Let us all make the best use of sending meaningful mails by sharing good things that make ourselves more strong and make our living a better one.
Last but not least, I wish to humbly add that this post is not to hurt any one's sentiments but, to express only my view point.

It is really saddening to note that in this day and age people still believe in these superstitions, especially after coming into Sai's fold. Baba has time and again said (in various chapters of SSC) to give up such blind superstitions and place implicit faith in him. Mere chanting of Sai Sai will deliver us all. And this very lord's name and pictures are being used by so many to exploit and play upon the human emotions, by making veiled threats and predictions, forcing the lord's devotees to respond and act. How could our dear Lord really accept this ?
Why should we succumb to these threats ?
Why should we respond / forward these chain mails ?
What has happened to our faith in the Lord ?
If one argues that by these chain mails, we are propagating the divine name of our Lord, in what way are we different from the shamans of the past era who used tricks, sleight of hand and cheap magic to convince, to play on the fear psychosis and assert that they were the true followers of God ?
Definitely, our lord Sai requires no ad support or publicity. He has pulled his devotees from far and wide, even those who have never heard of him have seen him in their dreams. There fore these chain mails are not a help to him, Lord Sai never punishes or kills those who disobey him. He is every merciful. These words are from his own mouth "How could I ever be angry. Can a mother angry with her child. Can the ocean turn back the river"
Lets not succumb to these threats and respond / forward these mails. The best is to simply mark them as spam. Mind you, we might lose some contacts, but better that than lose our faith in the lord.
And lets pray for those who create / respond / forward these chain mails. O Lord Please please give these people the courage, strength and faith. Show them the way.

but thnks to baba,
after entering his world .... trusting n remembrin him i just take his name and thn delete thm...
at times these are also sent by mibile companies......
i got this thing in mind......
we also receive sympathy msgs
like so nd so is suffering from this disease nd th operation costs a huge amount,nd if u forward it some petty amount like 10 paise wud b paid........
i personally feel like forwardin these msgs nd have done many a times........
but i do not knw to wat xtent is it true.....nd does forwardin these really help???.

Today, I was talking to Annu di and only then I came to know about the chain messages and the money matters involved behind these.

Kabhi BABA , Ganpati , Some help for disease , Frindship , love ...even 1 day i receive IF U WANT LONG LIFE OF YOUR MOTHER.....TO SEND THIS MSG TO 8 PEOPLE or more then that~~~~
Kuch nahi bas MOBILE COMPANIES k new fandas hai for EARN MONEY~~~
I delete this type of MSGS...WITHOUT ANY FEAR....
yeh koi bhakti nahi hai...yeh sab toh PAISE KA KHEL HAI....per MSG means 2rs cost....its long long chain............mujhe lile ga main aage agar 10 logo ko karte hu toh aage vo 10 log phir se apne apne 10 logo ko kare gae....
BETTER YHE HAI HUM SAB MAIN SE KISSE KO YEH SAB MSGS OR EMAILS AATE HAI....FORWARD KARE KI JAGEH WE DELETE IT....

if i can avoid reading them i avoid and immediately press the 'delete' button but if there is something worthy of reading i read it and when i near the end which says..forward this to......i stop reading that part and delete the message.
Many a times if i felt that the email gives a good message and it should be forwarded i do forward it BUT AFTER DELETING THE LAST part of forward this to ......etc etc

I shall follow it now on.
I too did receive beautiful messages but just deleted them since it contains this unwarranted imposition.
