Why so much of violence?

  • Jai sai,
Im new to this forum and I have feel that SAI has infact brought me here to interact with other disciples of him.

There is however 1 question which my mind wants to ask all SAI bhakts like me.
Why is this world so cruel and violent? Why can't people be sympathetic?
I am seeing so much of cruelty to animals,I cannot just see it through my eyes.Be it a bird,a cow,a goat and the most suffered a DOG.
SAI BABA loved animals, infact a chapter in SRI SAI SACHARITH very clearly shows the incident of BABA feeding a dog and saying that if you feed a hungry animal, then you have fed me! Inspite of this I have seen many people who visit BABA's temple in the morning and later blissfully ignoring BABAs love to animals, they torture them, hit stones at them.
Aren't animals too belong to BABA? Don't they have rights to live with us?

Why isn't Baba punishing them? Why are people hurting those animals who can never speak and express thier feeling?

I have been weeping since seeing these tortures and finally when I saw this forum,I thought i should convey my thought here,it may be BABAs way of giving out answers to me.

    Please do comment.

  • I don't think Baba punishes anyone... punishment is a natural outcome of any wrong action. Its timing may or may not be to our liking. Earlier i used to think that some people almost always get away with their heinous acts. But now my views have changed. Recently i saw a news item on the condition of mother in law of gayatri devi (who still thinks she is some queen or whatever). Her mother in law used to fit nicely into the kind of people we are discussing. She used to think herself to be invincible. She used to beat her servants with whips and what not. Now her condition is like she has to live in a small room with a monthly rent of Rs. 500. She has defaulted on her medical bills of a civil hospital from where she is undergoing her treatment and it has become extremely difficult for her to get 2 meals a day. So nature has its own ways and timings to teach a lesson to anti-social elements. However, to our dismay, this lesson may not be taught in the same birth. And it may come when we may seem that it is least deserved due to the good actions we undertake. Like there is some story in mahabharata in this regard where the pain of arrows was the result of pain inflicted on some insect, etc about 200 years ago in some previous birth. Sorry i don't remember the name of that person. So the dogs who are being stoned today may very well be the political murderers in previous births who could not be touched then. But anyways non-vegetarians like me should not try to take refuge by siting such logics... these days i am personally taking care of a stray dog who has a bad wound and i hope it will be fit and fine soon!
    Peace Be To All!

  • Just added to that…..

Knowingly/ unknowingly people do lots of bad karma. When they really see the light, they feel guilty about it. We all are one of them. The most important thing to understand other’s pain.

The moment you achieve this, you become the one who can analyze the acts of others.
