True friendship does not need elaborate gifts
or spectacular events in order to be valuable or valued.

To ensure long-lasting quality and satisfaction,
true friendship only needs a few key ingredients:

undying loyalty, unmatched understanding, unsurpassed trust, deep and soulful secrets, and endless sharing.

These ingredients, mixed with personality and a sense of humor, can make a friendship last a lifetime!

JAI SAI RAM!!!

This is a fantastic part of the world of friendship. two friends in true friendship accept each other as they are... with the shortcomings and drawbacks. Equally well! They show you the path to correct yourself if you go wrong... but never do they dislike you for going wrong.

Accepting each other with all the shortcomings is the most beautiful and out of the world part of friendship. No other relationship possess this capability. In all the relations, somewhere or the other you tend to dislike your companion for his/her shortcomings.

Best is the friend who accept you with your shortcomings and true and loyal is the friend who tries to correct your mistakes!

You can never go wrong if you have a true friend by your side. Even if you do... you will stand firm to face all the odds...holding your friend's hand!

Thus - Thing that is impossible anywhere else, is the most common in true friendships. BLIND TRUST is what I call it. Accepting your friend with his shortcomings and drawbacks is possible for you... only if you are a TRUE FRIEND.

Through the relationship we change. The Gurbani (Sri Guru Granth Sahib, SGGS) reveals to us that friendship with the fool — the false, corrupt, Manmukh (self-willed, a person in worldly consciousness etc.), wicked, pompous (proud or arrogant), unrighteous, untruthful, greedy, unfaithful and so on — is founded on false foundation, therefore, lasts "for only a few short days" and "never works out right". The implication is that if we have friends with good qualities or virtues, our nature will change accordingly. However, on the other hand, if we make friends with someone who has bad qualities, he (or she) will be a bad influence on us for such "friendship leads to corruption". Accordingly, the Great Souls tell us that one can tell who you are by the company you keep! Thus goes the proverbial expression "you are the company you keep".

Then, what's the enduring friendship? If we want to move in life in Nanak-like consciousness, the Gurbani's instruction is to make friends with God. The goal of any relationship is to get to know the other better. But that’s a little tricky with God, since we can’t just go out for a cup of tea with Him and chat about every little thing (although He is always with us!). That’s why, to learn about Him and to know Him the best way, we are advised by the Gurbani to hang out with His Gurmukhs (Enlightened Beings) more often and become the Gurmukhs ourselves. God reveals Himself to the Gurmukhs. Also, the Gurbani urges to focus "consciousness on the Satguru".

We should have two friends, One to talk to and one to talk about!

'Friendship', a single, simple word of ten alphabets is more than what you can imagine. These ten alphabets are joined to each other by immense bond of trust and love.

Friendship means not only ship of friends but it means sharing, sharing joy and sharing sorrow.

Two friends woven together by threads of friendship never feel embarrassed to share their drawbacks! They count themselves and their friend as one. Though miles apart, two friends still hold each other's hands, they can find joy also when the sky is gloomy.

Since the beginning, I have been stressing on friendship between 2 friends, because I feel, personally, that friendship can be of true nature between 2 friends.

Friendship between more than two friends cannot be personal. Such people are not friends but are together called as friendly group. In such groups also, you often find two friends closely related. So! Friendship can also exist between 2 people of friendly group. But! Finally it's only between 2 friends.

One to one relating can never exist between friendly groups because; 1+1 is always 2 and not 3 or 4.

There is a quoting, which is as follows :

"We should have two friends, one to talk to and one to talk about!"

In such friendships also, often 1 person (friend) is closer than the other.

This I say out of experience.  Friendship is 1+1 relationship, not to be shared with more than one friend.

Two is company, three is crowd.

Have many acquaintances, but only one close friend.

Friendship between three ( more than two ) friends can never be well balanced.
