    • According to Skanada Purana and wise philosophers the place where doors are open for all people ,of  the four viz;(Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya ans Shudra) classes for accomplishing the four Purusharthas, viz., Dharma,Artha, Kama and Moksha is called Dwarka . According to shirdibaba  Dwarka which he refered as Dwarkamai  was open not only to the four classes described above but also to the oppressed(distresse d),untouchables, lepers etc.

    Another aspect of Dwarkamai is the everburning Dhuni that  Baba built which has been maintained by Shri Sai Sansthan of Shirdi.The Yadnya produces ashes which is the purest substance on the earth which has the power to destroy evil and impurity was generously distributed by Baba to his devotees for protecting from maladies.

    May the sacred Dhuni always remind us of Sai and ward us against evil and calamities.

    • Sai Baba often said that-let His man (Devotee) be at any distance, a thousand koss away from Him, he will be drawn to Shirdi like a sparrow, with a thread tied to its feet..............


    Before they came to Shirdi, Baba declared openly that - "To-day many of my Darbar people are coming".

    I will not allow my devotees to come to harm


    However distant my people may be, I draw them to me just as we pull a bird to us with a string tied to its foot.

    Bow to the Kind Sai Who is the Abode of Mercy and Who is affectionate towards His devotees. By His mere darshan, He does away with their fear of this 'bhava' (samsar) and destroys their calamities.


    Baba brought His devotees to Shirdi for darshan and satisfied their wants, material as well as spiritual.
