In becoming happy, wealth is of no use. One has to first mould oneself to live a purer life. It you live with integrity, both bliss and peace shall abide in you.
If religious feelings grow in man, and God is held in the most primary and paramount position, then the very source of bliss will be at hand.
Follow the path of religion, shun what is profane (irreligious); speak the truth, never lie; adopt a broad-minded approach to life, keep away from narrow-mindedness; Look up not down.
If one has fully known the infinite greatness and divine powers of God, one would sustain no interest anywhere except for the God whom he has so known.
Even if we have grand palaces to live in, various delicacies to eat, and heaps of praises, they are not the fruits of this human life. But the real objectives are the company of the righteous and the rooting out of the evil traits in our nature.
One must commit to memory the favors that others do to you and chose to forget the discriminations meted out to you. Work with haste to complete any work that has a noble objective and delay what is inauspicious. That is the true sign of intelligence!
One who offers devotion, hears the divine episodes from God’s life, chants His name and yet if he lacks in dharma, he is a great sinner and is like one who desires to cross the ocean by swimming with a big stone over his head.
A devotee who has an intense love for God would always willingly abide by all His orders but would never act against His wishes.
With total surrender to God and His Sadhu, even an avalanche of calamities will be averted. Whereas, man’s own desperate endeavours will be of no avail.
A devotee, who either sings or chants the holy name of God or is engaged in unbroken chanting of the name of Narayan, should do so with his mind always focused on God.
Mental distress can only be coped with and cured by spiritual knowledge.
When unhappy, look at those who are in greater misery rather than those happier than you. This is the key to happiness on earth.
