Random Thoughts coming at its best..

Thanks for your optimistic prognosis. Infect everybody has been around a negative person at least once in life - probably many times. A negative person will bring you down and drain your energy. If you allow them, negative people will make you angry and challenge your ability to remain positive. Whether your family member, your relatives or your co-worker even your child or spouse that is chronically negative, there are things you can do to remain positive in the face of negativity.

Negativity can come in the form of cynicism, criticism, whining, attacking, pessimism, discontent, perfectionism, and hyper intensity. All of these behaviors can push people away, including spouses. Imagine being in a small boat drifting in a river. And imagine being unaware that your boat has a motor. As long as you fail to use that motor you will be a captive of the river. You will be a prisoner without any control over your destination. Yet, the boat that we’re in does have a motor. We can use it to change course. That motor is our power of choice. All we have to do is choose to look for the good, for when we do so, that is all we will find.

We must watch the negative thinking because the power of negative thinking is far greater than that of positive thinking. I will encourage all our intellectual forum’s members for their rational insight regarding negativity (s) and how is affecting your lives.

(Here's another little bonus for you. While you are blocking these negative people out of your life, you'll look around and notice a change. You'll now find yourself surrounded by a whole new set of positive people who support you and your goals. "Positive breeds more positive!")

Ramesh Bhai, thanks for your post! Should I read it as a compliment or a disguised criticism of my thought/s ?? Your views on negative people are nice. But, I wonder what prompted you to write this. Kindly help me understand that.[:)]

My dear Sunita.  Whatever I write, I write for people in general that also includes me.  No one in particular and how dare I critise someone when I myself learn many things from my own writing.  We all are in that same boat drifting and trying our best to cross that 'Bhav Saagar' of our random thoughts.  Did I sound critical anywhere in particular?  How can I tell you when many thing I myself fail to understand how they crop up in my mind as random thoughts.

I think and feel that when we are comfortable, sometimes we are merely existing, and just existing is not my cup of tea and shouldn't be yours either, when we are capable of so much more in life.  I believe one of the worst possible situations one could ever find them in is a comfortable situation.

Don't ever take anything as personal as far as this brother of yours is concerned.  I am always stands for the brave souls who give their views openly and stands against any kind of arrogancy.

  • Dear Friends ,brothers,sisters,
Each of us is trying to learn from the other. Many of us acknowldge negativites in ourselves and and are trying to do human revolutions in some form or the other whereas some of us are not aware enough of the negativities we carry. Some people my write about their sins and faults and feel light here but some are aware in depth but donot announce to the world.Ultimate goal is to find and attain inner peace, tranquility and  feel ONE with Baba.None of us is perfect and none of us is Imperfect either.yes,in personal life, all of us have faced negativity, criticism and also such thoughts try to come to our minds off and own,to suspect other,to question others intention or perfection but we have to become absolute-so much that no praise and no critisism can affect our being. We have to become pure, blissful and never to forget, that life is a celebration. It is a beautiful gift which we have to cherish.Nopoint in living so seriously with too much worry or too much heaviness.Baba just gave these thoughts.so, hv penned down.I will read them again when i log in as they  apply to my own self s much as to others :)
    Warm Regards:
    Babita

Ramesh Bhai, thanks for your kind response. I didn't take that personally, but was surprised at the stark contradiction in your thought. You talked against "cynicism, criticism, whining, attacking, pessimism, discontent, perfectionism, and hyper intensity" in your post on the one hand. But on the other hand, you did not guage that you were indulging in the same by writing 'against' these. Yes, thoughts arise randomly and we write. But, it certainly helps if we take care to see whether we think consistently. In my view, logic needs to be applied to spirituality also.

One simply cannot be uncomfortable with status quo without being critical and discontented. In my view, perfectionism is another name for divinity. So, why talk against it!

  • Jai Sai Ram.

When the hearts are apart words are needed to communicate. When hearts are together no words are needed. Words create differences and distances. Silence binds and brings harmony. Silence in its purest form is one's own self. It is the feeling of God within. Silence is meditation. Silence is energy without words, without mind. In it, it helps us to find answers to our questions and paths to our destination.

God does not speak and He communicates with all, all the time. It is not the words, but feeling. Whether it be of liking, of loving, of appreciating, of understanding that is what matters. Feeling can vibrate and reach others without having to utter a single word as the unspoken has greater power than the spoken.

  • Dear sister Sunita,
I like you and your posts very much as I said before also :) Thanks for starting this topic and sharing your valuable thoughts with all of us and i apologise for intervening in this latest conversation ..I just read the post of Rameshji on the other thread where he shares parables..and has written something on 23rd Dec. date.wherein its a story abt Buddha being asked why he is giving 3 different answers to 3 different people for the SAME question.I donot think that Buddha was inconsistent that time and Ananda had asked similar kind of question from Buddha. It is a beautiful story and i hope you will be able to find answer in that.I found it.and yes,you are just being honest to yourself nd are a wonderful humanbeing who is helping all of us find so many important meanings .
Pls donot feel that i am siding anyone,I am just understanding Buddha and his words ..dear sister.and i love you a lot .
    Merry X-mas!

  • Merry Christmas to all my brothers and sisters!!

    Jai Sai Ram!!!

Dear Anju ji and Babita ji, thanks much for your loving responses!! I am a mere instrument in the Master's hands. All I write comes from Him, and all reponses go to Him! So, any praise and criticism belong to Him. I am a mere servant of the Master!!

If Baba wishes, you may hear from me again. Left to me, I would really like to follow what Anju Ji recommended--Silence!! I believe in that myself. But, I write only when Baba inspires me. So, it is His wish now!!

Baba's love and blessings to all!!

Again I must say that whatever I write I am writing in general. No specific person is in my mind.  I agree about my contradictory views on something but what to do in your day to day life when you meet some people who are so chronically negative that you have no other choice but to avoid them. If you have negative people in your life that are critically affecting your mental and physical health, you need to evaluate whether or not you want these people in your life. There are certain people like a boss, friend or co-worker that you can remove from your life or at least avoid for long periods of time. Other people, such as children and spouses, may require professional intervention if their negativity is affecting your life. Reinforce very strong boundaries with chronically negative people so you can protect your well being.

My dear Sunita once again I will say that whatever I have learnt through my life I present my side of life's view which may or may not be agreed upon in general.  Life can't be understood in simpler terms rather it has to be lived to the fullest. Life is a paradox; paradox in its nature. It is not strange.

But people are so much addicted to logic that whenever life reveals itself to them, it looks strange. Logic has been continuously taught to us -- that contradictory things cannot exist together. Logic has been teaching us that either it is day or it is night; either it is life or it is death, either it is happiness or it is unhappiness. The whole mechanism of logic is of 'either-or'.

And life is both together. Life is all together. Whenever we reach to the deepest sadness, suddenly we will see it is turning into happiness. Or, you reach to the deepest happiness and you will see that it is turning into sadness. At the centre they meet; only on the periphery are they separate.

It is just as if you make a circle, and from the centre you can draw many lines towards the periphery. On the periphery, the circumference, the lines are very far away. Move towards the centre and by and by they come closer and closer, and exactly on the centre they become one point.

All paradoxes meet within me; all paradoxes meet in existence. Only on the periphery of my mind are they separate. Deep in me, life and death are both one. Deep in me, happiness and unhappiness are both one. Deep in me, God and the devil are both me. Deep in me, this world and the other are both one, this shore and the other shore are both one.

But whenever I come for the first time to that point of realization, it looks strange, unfamiliar. But I tell you, if you are really happy, tears will come.

It is impossible if the happiness has gone really deep -- it cannot be without tears. Of course, the quality of those tears is absolutely different. It is not of sadness; it is of overflow.

And remember, if I have not known sadness together with happiness I have not known anything yet. Then my happiness is superficial; ymy sadness is also superficial. Then I have been living on the surface; then I have known only the waves; I have not known the depth of the ocean that I am.

Life is contradictory, paradoxical. It has to be so, because only then can it be so rich. If your happiness cannot cry and weep, it will be shallow, it cannot be rich. And if your tears cannot laugh, and if your sadness cannot dance, then it is superficial. In the depth, the sadness becomes a song -- a tremendous beauty of silence surrounds you, and a song is born out of the depth.

If you look into it, you will find you are not sad. The sadness is there, the happiness is there, and you are neither. This is the innermost triangle of existence; this is the point of transcendence where opposites meet. You immediately transcend. You become the third, immediately. When you see happiness and sadness meeting, suddenly you are separate from both; all identity is broken. Then you know you are a witness. Now it is for you to be identified -- either, if you want, you can be identified with sadness or you can be identified with happiness. When you are identified with happiness, sadness is suppressed; when you are identified with sadness, happiness is suppressed -- but both are two aspects of the same coin; and you are the master. The coin is in your hand; you are not the coin at all.

  • Thousands thought of him as a wonderful saint with miraculous powers but his innermost circle knew him to be in incarnation of God himself. Some said of Datta, others of Shiva, still others saw ecstatic visions of their own beloved Guru or chosen Ishta (personalized icon of God) while gazing at Him. He himself said only that he was the humble servant of God and pleased and furthered all who came in contact with him.

Everyone one of those who approached Baba with a preconceived

notion, either with the curiosity to know if He is really what

He is being portrayed as or with the arrogance of learnedness

had to bow in front of His humility, benevolence, compassion,

    and the magnificence.

In case of all those learned men, it was the surrender either

due to the misfortune of a suffering or the providence of His

grace that provided them with the means of enlightenment.

It is true that however scholarly may man's learning be,

it just fades away in front of the one that realized the Brahman.

On this peaceful Thursday, let us contemplate on the realization

only a Sadguru can give and nothing else in the world would.

  • Om Sri Sainathaya Namah!!

When we step inside a temple, we try to maintain some decoram. No shouting, no fighting, no conflict of any sorts. The devotees enter the sanctum sanctorium with utmost reverence for the diety, and maintain some amount of discipline. But once inside a temple, a devotee's true thoughts and feelings are communicated to the Lord silently. A devotee may maintain outward order, but inwardly all disorder is conveyed to the Lord. But, when one enters an online temple like this, does one have a choice to talk silently to our Master? No. Words become essential. And, when you verbalise your thoughts directed at the Master, other devotees may not appreciate that. So, should one stop communicating to the Master as one likes? Absolutely not. That is our birthright sanctioned by our Beloved [:)]

When we speak to our Baba, we communicate all to Him without censoring anything. He knows everything about us, so hiding your true selves may really not serve any purpose. Nothing pleases the Master more than honesty of the disciple. Why should one pretend to be that which one is not? Sitting within our hearts, the Master is aware of all our strengths and weaknesses, our positives and negatives. So, accepting ourselves as we are and communicating that to Baba may please Him the most.

May Baba bless this online temple!!

    Om Sai Ram!!

As we inch towards the closure of yet another year, I pray to Baba for all my dear brothers and sisters on this temple!!

Time is eternal, though some philosophers may argue that it does not exist [:)] Notwithstanding those difference in opinions, the fact remains that yet another year has gone by, and we stand at the threshold of a new beginning. So:

If 2006 was one of 'those' years which you began with optimism; But, ended a little disappointed!

If during the year you forgot or could not meet a commitment,
Not to mention differences of opinion with a Sai Bandhu [:)]

And, if more than one goal remained out of reach.
And if you felt all alone in this world!

    If 2006 was not as great as it could have been;
    2007 will be here soon!!!

So, celebrate it the best possible way!
With HUGS, and lots of HUMOR!!

Leap into 2007 with a mindset of prosperity, health and happiness!!
Have a fantastic NEW YEAR my dear brothers and sisters !!

May Baba wipe away all your hurts, pains and worries!! May He bless you in every possible way as the new year sets in!! With lots of Baba's sunshine, love and blessings!!

My special wishes for my dearest brother Ramesh Bhai [:)] I look forward to more philosophical debates with you in the coming year!!
