"The light of a lamp does not flicker in a windless place"; that is a simile which decribes a yogi of one pointed mind, who meditates upon the Atman.

Thinking about sense objects
Will attach you to sense-objects;
Grow attached, and you become addicted;
Thwart your addiction, it turns to anger;
Be angry, and you confuse your mind;
Confuse your mind , you forget the lesson of experience;
Forget experience , you lose discrimination;
Lose discrimination, and you miss life's only purpose.

How can it meditate ?
Without meditation, where is peace?
Without peace , where is happiness?
(Bhagvad-Gita, II. 62,63,65)

JAI SAI RAM!!!
Everyone has to face the consequences of his actions. Who has made the bats to hang from the branches of a tree with their heads downwards? Has anyone done it out of hatred? No. It is their Karma (fate). Likewise, nobody can escape from the consequences of Karma.
OM SAI RAM!!!
