One of the Sai temples of Pune, the Sai temple at Shivaji Nagar, has a great history behind it.

This temple is located along the banks of the picturesque Mutha River in the Rasne Chawl (Rasne tenement) on the outskirts of Shivaji Nagar in Pune.

Baba's tooth lies under the padukas at the feet of the marble statue.

Saibaba of Shirdi never encouraged performance of tricks in the name

of spirituality.

Kusha Bhav (Krishnaji Kashinath Joshi) devotee of one Datta Maharaj

used create sweetmeat by performing tricks and distribute it amongst

 people.

When he approached Baba, Baba did not allow him to come into

His darbar until he relinquished his powers to perform such tricks.

Long before 1908 when Shirdi was quiet and humble village, Baba told one of his devotees, 'mansions will rise in this village, big people will come here, guns will be fired, grand processions will be held and people would make a bee-line here!'

At the time of Baba, on an average about 20 to 125 people used to visit Him every day. But today, the average crowd visiting Shirdi is about 30 to 35 thousand persons a day and the number is ever on the increase.

One devotee of baba named muktaram occupied gadde of baba after babas samadhi.He died within a week.His samadhi was in lendi bagh beside horse samadhi.
