Dear Vishwanath ji, you are God-sent. Thank you for your humble help here! May Baba bestow his loving blessings on you always.

My father has high blood pressure and cholestrol. He takes medicines for high blood pressure and has an asprin everyday. Yesterday, he showed symptoms of a cardiac arrest, this has happened a few months ago as well.
He got out of the shower and had a strange pain on his left footr toes, which moved up to his left knee and then to his left shoulder and then to his chest on the left hand side. We did not want to take any chances so we went to the hospital at 10 am (Priot to that I gave him Baba's prashad and applied UDI on his forhead). They took out an ECG and did an electrolyte count blood test. Both were normal. The doctor gave him a medicine to thin his blood to block any cardiac arrest. He however kept him under observation for another hour and did another ECG, which again was normal. The doctor said he wanted to do another ECG and electrolyte count blood test to rule out any cardiological issues.  Few hours later, those tests showed normalcy. He has a treadmill test to do this Tuesday to be a 100% certain that this is not to do with his heart.
He has been perfectly fine today and has shown no symptoms of pain. I thank Baba for that!

Let us first resolve not to panic or take things impulsively.Let us apply our minds cooly to what is your father's background(medically) and his symptomps which led to an obvious sense of tremendous worry on your part.

There are several positive points here indicating that his heart is not the cause of symptoms. His presentation of pain seems atypical, and given the sequential ECG's which as per your statement are normal, I would think cardiac ischaemia at that time is unlikely.His symptomps are what we term atypical pain not suggestive of cardiac ischaemia. ( non cardiac in nature ). What seems a little odd here is as to why the doctor did not ask for a TROP-T/TROP-I test. If this was negative after 90 mins of onset of the symptomps it would have been a great source of information.Furthermore why was not a bedside 2D echo ( heart scan ) carried out. Again if it was normal without showing any areas of wall motion abnormality in the heart then our diagnosis would be more confirmative in that this episode had nothing to do with his heart.

I have not seen his ECG's nor do I know his anti hypertensive --medication.If the doctor asked you to go for a treadmill test then let me assure you he too feels his symptoms are unlikely to do with his heart.No doctor asks for a Exercise ECG if he feels that there is even the remote possibility of the events being cardiac related have occure recently .Furthermore as your father is a hypertensive there is a chance for a Treadmill test to show a false positive ( namely positive test, but not truly indicative of his coronary circulation.).

In my professional opinion please do not get emotional and panicky.The way I see it your father never had a cardiac event. The question is how do we go from here? I would rather than a treadmill opt for a Dobutamine Stress Echo (DSE). This is far more reliable than a Treadmill test. I would ensure that he is off any beta blockers( in his medication) for two days prior to this test and substitute them for some temporary medication for blood pressure control during the two days prior to this test.Once this is clear you can relax.

I truly think his episode had to do with cervical spondylomyelopathy and lumbar radiculopathy rather than anything cardiac. Unnecessary repeated tests like repeated electrolytes are not of any significance.Trust Me your father is in the umbrella of Baba's protection. The episode you describe in my professional opinion is non cardiac.

Please remain calm and do not rush into unwarranted tests.Commercialism has become a bane in the medical profession.If you seek further clarifications kindly xerox his ECG's, scan them and send them to me at my e-mail.Please also do not forget to mention all his medication in your mail. First of all, I would like to thank you with the deepest gratitude for writing such a detailed and informative response to me. May Baba bless you and your family always!

Yes, unfortunately, it is a play of commercial practices and claiming more fees through our medical insurance here, we are based inDubai. My apologies, I forgot to mention that the doctor plans to have an echo test along with the treadmill test on this Tuesday. I do not have the reports as the hospital has retained them, I shall get hold of copies of it when I go along with my father on Tuesday and will scan and send them to you via email.

The moment was really stressful as we are going through a bit of a rough patch at the moment. I am in the process of a divorce and what we are dealing with has caused stress in grief in all our lives. This too could have been a factor contributing to this.

I would really appreciate if you could please elaborate on TROP-T/TROP-I test so I can ask the doctor if he would conduct them as well. Also, I'd be greatful if you could please tell me more about  cervical spondylomyelopathy and lumbar radiculopathy.

My father has been having an Asprin Protect 100 everyday along with Zilos 50.

Yes, you are absolutely right, we are under Baba's umberella and he is our refuge and protector Baba's faith has pulled us through many high mountains that we have climbed with his blessings. This too shall pass with his grace! I am forever indebted to our Baba for always being so loving and kind to us and standing by us as our rock!

ROSIGLITAZONE: A drug used in diabetes has been banned for its side effects on the cardio vascular system.If any ofyou are taking this medication which is prescribed for diabetes, stop it and seek your doctor's advise a change of prescription.As this drug is available under various trade names please check the components of your tablet which will be printed on your strip of medication.

2. NIMESULIDE: A commonly used pain killer is also banned. People use this for adults and children alike for minor pains and fever.Due to a variety of reasons this is stillwidely available in India, over the counter.Kindly stop the usage of this medication.

Many drugs although banned are sold openly.Please check your medication and ask your doctor when he is writing your prescription of any side-effects to expect from the prescription.

   im a 22 years old gurl who is having a skin diaseas call PSOARISIS.I when to many hospitals but the dr's told me that there is no medicine to cure psoarisis.I even went to india for treatment but nuthing worked.The dr the gave me a cream call zincoderm.he ask me to apply it all over the body.but its still the same n he ask me not be stress where it can get worst.Im a nursing student n im doing my final year.i get stress sometimes n it will get worst.I feel shame to go out n mix around with my frens..Dr is there any treatment to cure psoarisis???

I note that your mentioning that you are a nursing student. All the more reason for you to realize that Psoriasis can indeed be controlled, there are multiple modalities of therapy, including creams,medication and PUVA therapy.I strongly suggest you meet a skin specialist where such facilities are available.I am truly sorry but my limitations do not allow me any further suggestions.You have to approach the right doctor who specializes in dermatology.

Furthrmore please remember that your affliction does not make your personality any difference.You have chosen nursing, what a way to serve the real needy ! Truly beauty is only in the eye of the beholder and from your post you seem to be a caring person andyour inner beauty is more visible.

There have been significant advances in the field of Psoriasis, please go and see a dermatologist in the hospital of your choice.Baba will always be with you and you will find a lot of change.

She had asked me several questions, however as you had not provided much information, apart from your various trysts with other doctors and the use of zincoderm, I was unable to give her much information.

She is emphatic that your skin affliction can be managed without any real significant trouble.
However I do need some details, please mail me at my e-mail id with your medical history.When Baba is with us what do we have to fear?

I may be in a position to help you. Please mention your present location, so that I can find out if I have any freinds in that locality.This will help in trying to get in touch with them and get you to a qualified dermatologist.

However if you do not want to divulge any information,,I shall post an article written by the freind I have already contacted.
