How easy it would be if we knew which foods could be beneficial to us -- to help us feel energetic, to help us improve our health, to help us in our battle against body fat.

Combination of Juices for various remedies...

Carrot + Ginger + Apple  - Boost and cleanse our system. 
 
Apple + Cucumber + Celery -  Prevent cancer, reduce cholesterol, and improve stomach upset and headache.   

Tomato + Carrot + Apple - Improve skin complexion and bad breath. 

Bitter gourd + Apple + Milk -  Avoid bad breath and reduce internal body heat.   

Orange + Ginger + Cucumber - Improve Skin texture and moisture and reduce body heat. 

Pineapple + Apple + Watermelon - To dispel excess salts, nourishes the bladder and kidney.

Experience Divinity Through Kriya Yoga  

Kriya yoga is among the shortest, quickest and most scientific way to attain your goal of selfmastery and state of deathlessness but it is neither a religion nor sect. There are four major techniques in kriya yoga. You forget your ego and body sense and get extreme superconsciousness and cosmic consciousness. Immediately you can change your life force into radiant all-accomplishing divine force which in turn hastens your physical, mental and intellectual uplift. The second technique is panacea for all diseases. It gives you a healthy and lustrous body. It slows the ageing process. By the third technique you can offer your whole system to God. Your hands are not your hands. They are the hands of God. Your heart is not your heart, it belongs to God. God is putting breath in you, so that your whole system is acting.
   
We have two nostrils. So long as the breath will not come with equal pressure from both the nostrils, our spiritual field will not be cultivated. We have to cultivate our own spiritual field, which is our own body. All our anger, pride and insincerity centres are in the right lobe, and our speech centre is in the left side of the brain. Also we have another part called pons. Above and behind pons is the midbrain; where the aggregated balance sheets of our lives are stored. So, in a moment we can become bewildered and furious. By the practice of kriya yoga our thoughts become balanced.
   
By the help of the fourth technique we will be able to feel that only the power of God is activating us. We can get extreme calmness. We hear the mantras. Anybody, who has been initiated in the Rama mantra, need not chant Rama, Rama, Rama. In kriya yoga, automatically he can hear the Rama mantra as if from a distance. He will even feel divine vibrations in his whole body and see divine light. Also in his fontanelle he will feel the sensation of floating, swaying and rocking. By the help of this, all his negative and bad qualities will disappear; he will feel that the power of God is always with him.
   
The Kenopanishad says, what speech cannot reveal but which reveals the speech, know that alone is God. What mind cannot comprehend, but what cognises mind, know that alone is God. It is only the power of God, which is pulling breath from the seventh junction of every being. The Bhagavad Gita says: If one can fix prana shakti with help of breath at the midpoint of eyebrows (pituitary), he can perceive the self-effulgent divine self. So long as your mind is not fixed at the point where God is pulling inhalation and does not calmly seek Him there, your spiritual achievement is completely nil.
   
You require material prosperity and sense pleasures. Along with these, you should also start meditating. Meditation means the mind is free from worldly objects. You are in knowledge, consciousness and superconsciousness. In the Bible it is written: “Be still and know that you are God”. By the practice of kriya yoga meditation you can still your mind and feel the living presence of God.

बड़े काम का है नारियल  

नारियल प्रोटीन का अच्छा स्रोत है।

बॉडी बिल्डिंग का शौक रखने वालों के लिए यह काफी फायदेमंद है। शरीर के मसल्स मजबूत बनाने के लिए नारियल खाना अच्छा है। दुबले-पतले लोगों के लिए भी नारियल खाना फायदेमंद है।

कोकोनट मिल्क गले की खराश मिटाने में मदद करता है। पेट में अल्सर से पीड़ित मरीजों को भी यह राहत पहुंचाता है।

The Versatile Neem  


For thousands of years, the people of India have known many uses of the neem.

1.It has been used as a toothpaste and brush rolled into one. As an antiseptic, it prevents infection of wounds. Children with chicken pox and measles are bathed in water with neem leaves in it.

2.New born babies are bathed in water that has been boiled with neem leaves because of its medicinal and refreshing qualities.

3.Its fresh leaves are chewed to put an end to tension.

4.The neem's powdered seeds have cured many of headaches when applied on the forehead.

5.Neem can get rid of lice.

6.It can also be used to clear up worms in the stomach.

7.Women in south India light lamps with neem oil to keep insects away. Seeing this quality, for hundreds of years people in rural India have used need to protect their stored grains against insects and rodents. Others have used it to protect winter clothes from insects and books from termites.

8.A neem plant near your home can reduce pollution, repel mosquitoes and even lower the temperature in the hot months. This is one reason why in many places people continue to hang a neem twig on their doorways.

Protein in diet

Definition

Proteins are complex organic compounds. The basic structure of protein is a chain of amino acids.
Alternative Names

Diet - protein; Complete protein; Incomplete protein

Function

Protein is the main component of muscles, organs, and glands. Every living cell and all body fluids, except bile and urine, contain protein. The cells of muscles, tendons, and ligaments are maintained with protein. Children and adolescents require protein for growth and development.

Food Sources

Proteins are described as essential and nonessential proteins or amino acids. The human body requires approximately 20 amino acids for the synthesis of its proteins.

The body can make only 13 of the amino acids -- these are known as the nonessential amino acids. They are called non-essential because the body can make them and does not need to get them from the diet. There are 9 essential amino acids that are obtained only from food, and not made in the body.

If the protein in a food supplies enough of the essential amino acids, it is called a complete protein. If the protein of a food does not supply all the essential amino acids, it is called an incomplete protein.
All meat and other animal products are sources of complete proteins. These include beef, lamb, pork, poultry, fish, shellfish, eggs, milk, and milk products.

Protein in foods (such as grains, fruits, and vegetables) are either low, incomplete protein or lack one of the essential amino acids. These food sources are considered incomplete proteins.

Plant proteins can be combined to include all of the essential amino acids and form a complete protein. Examples of combined, complete plant proteins are rice and beans, milk and wheat cereal, and corn and beans.

Side Effects  

A diet high in meat could lead to high cholesterol or other diseases, such as gout. Another potential problem is that a high-protein diet may put a strain on the kidneys. Extra waste matter, which is the end product of protein metabolism, is excreted in the urine.

Recommendations  

A nutritionally balanced diet provides adequate protein. Vegetarians are able to get enough protein if they eat the proper combination of plant proteins.

The amount of recommended daily protein depends upon age, medical conditions, and the type of diet one is following. Two to three servings of protein-rich food will meet the daily needs of most adults.
The following are the recommended serving sizes for protein:

For recommended serving sizes of protein for children and adolescents, see age appropriate diet for children 2 to 3 ounces of cooked lean meat, poultry, and fish (a portion about the size of a deck of playing cards) 1/2 cup of cooked dry beans, lentils, or legumes 1 egg or 2 tablespoons of peanut butter, which count as 1 ounce of lean meat Select lean meat, poultry without skin, fish, and dry beans, lentils, and legumes often. The Benefits from Honey

            There comes forth from their bellies (of the bees) a drink of varying color wherein is healing for men. Verily in this is indeed a sign for people who think." [16:68-69]



        Listed below are some common problems and ailments which can easily be cured and avoided from the use of Honey:


        Skin

        Honey is extremely nourishing for the skin when used as face pack and helps in rejuvenating the skin leading to the elimination of fine wrinkles.
        It is a good moisturiser.

        Honey has considerable Laxative effect on the human digestion system which in turn helps in reducing skin problem ie (pimples) and other problems associated with constipation, which become revealed on the skin.


        Antibacterial and antifungal properties

        Honey contains many minerals and vitamins beneficial to man. However, one of the most important properties seems to be its antibiotic action.
        Honey has been shown to be superior to certain conventional antibiotics in treating some infections.
        This bactericide (bacteria-killing) property of honey is named "the inhibition effect". Experiments conducted on honey show that its bactericide properties increase twofold when diluted with water. It is very interesting to note that newly born bees in the colony are nourished with diluted honey by the bees responsible for their supervision - as if they know this feature of the honey.


        Healing wounds & grazes

        Honey is of value in treating burns, infected surgical wounds and ulcers. Honey is very viscous, enabling it to absorb water from surrounding inflamed tissue. For example, a study in West Africa showed that skin grafting, surgical debridement and even amputation were avoided when local application of honey to wound promoted healing, whereas conventional treatment failed.
        For such wounds or Grazes, cover the wound with honey and a bandage.


        Diarrhoea

        At a concentration of 40%, honey has a bactericidal effect on various gut bacteria known to cause diarrhoea and dysentery


        Allergies

        Raw honey is an excellent treatment for 90% of all allergies.


        Teeth

        Although Honey is sweet, it helps to maintain and protect teeth! Its anti-microbial activity has been tested on several species of dental plaque bacteria. A study shows that honey has been proven to sharply reduce acid production, thus killing the bacteria responsible for dental caries, and blocking the growth of oral bacteria.


        Stomach Ache

        Take 1 teaspoon of honey, juice of ½ a lemon with a hot glass of water first thing in the morning.


        Colds and coughs

        Honey is remedial in cases of persistent coughs and sore throat. The strong antibiotic properties it contains coats the throat and reduces throat irritation.
        Mix 6 oz. liquid honey, 2 oz. glycerin with juice of 2 lemons. Bottle and cork firmly. Use as required.
        For Blocked noses, Place a dessert spoon of honey in a basin of hot water and inhale fumes after covering your head with a towel over the basin.
        For Sore throats, Let 1 teaspoon of honey melt in the back of the mouth and trickle down the throat. Eases inflamed raw tissues.
        Uneasiness felt in the mouth & throat due to infection can be relieved immediately with honey, so there is extensive scope for honey in cough mixtures & expectorants.


        Honey used for children helps inflammatory throat conditions as it both purifies blood.


        Digestion

        Because sugar molecules in honey can convert into other sugars (e.g. fructose to glucose), honey is easily digested by the most sensitive stomachs, despite its high acid content. It helps kidneys and intestines to function better. Hence honey is beneficial for maintaining a healthy digestive system as well as combating illnesses such as constipation.
        For poor digestion, Mix 1:1 honey with apple cider vinegar and dilute to taste with water.
        For patients suffering with various maladies of stomach who consume 10 grams of honey on an empty stomach in the morning & not eat anything thereafter for about 1 hour, will start feeling relief from the disorders within a few days.




        Weight control

        Honey has a low calorie content. Honey, when it is compared with the same amount of sugar, it gives 40% less calories to the body. Although it gives great energy to the body, it does not add weight.


        Rapidly diffuses through the blood

        When accompanied by mild water, honey diffuses into the bloodstream in 7 minutes. Its free sugar molecules make the brain function better since the brain is the largest consumer of sugar.


        Conjunctivitis (pus in the eye)

        Honey dissolved in equal quantity of warm water. Apply, when cooled, as lotion or eye bath.


        Blood

        Honey provides an important part of the energy needed by the body for blood formation. In addition, it helps in cleansing the blood. It has some positive effects in regulating and facilitating blood circulation. It also functions as a protection against capillary problems and arteriosclerosis.


        The Heart

        British researchers have discovered that honey slows the oxidation of 'bad' IDL cholesterol, which is responsible for causing arteriosclerosis, or hardening of the arteries. So Honey can fight against Colesterol. And the darker the honey, the better.
        Pure honey taken with food daily (instead of white sugar) relieves complains of cholesterol.
        This is beneficial for those of Old age, sufferers of Heart-disease, Diabetes, High-blood Pressure, Stroke, and others.


        Appetite

        Honey improves appetite in children suffering from conditions of Appetite loss.


        Headaches & Migraine

        Take 2 teaspoons at meals to prevent an attack
        For Migraines, Take 1 dessert spoon honey dissolved in half a glass of warm water at start migraine. Repeat in 20 minutes if necessary.


        Insomnia

        Honey helps in nervous disorders including Insomnia and acts as a tonic in recovery of any damage to the human nervous system.
        In cases of Insomnia (Sleeplessness) one teaspoon full of honey mixed in luke-warm water (or milk) & drunk before going to bed helps in getting sound sleep.


        Stress

        Honey in water is a stabilizer - calms highs and raises lows. Use approx. 1:4 honey to water.


        Healing

        Honey also greatly helps in convalecense as it has properties to make the body heal faster.


        Tuberculosis

        Honey helps patients suffering from Tuberculosis as it vastly helps in arresting the spread of this disease.


        Asthma

        Honey helps in conditions of Asthma as many conditions of Asthma respond favourably to Honey.




        Fatigue and exhaustion

        Honey is best used to increase the physical stamina & energy level of the human body & since honey is easily absorbed in the blood, it is the best ingredient to remove tiredness ad fatigue after hard work almost instantly.
        Dissolve 1 teaspoon honey in warm water or quarter honey balance of water in a jug and keep in the fridge. Honey is primarily fructose and glucose and so it is quickly absorbed by the digestive system.


        The Old and young

        French doctors advise weak, emaciated children & older patients to take honey & cream or honey & butter instead of cod liver oil.
        Boiled mild mixed with equal quantity of water & seven percent honey is a fabulous energy packed food for children.


        Osteoporosis

        1 teaspoon of honey a day helps calcium utilization and prevents osteoporosis. Essential from age 50 onwards.


        Burns

        Apply freely over burns. It cools, removes pain and aids fast healing without scarring. Apart from being a salve and antibiotic, bacteria cannot live in honey.


        Infertility

        Honey consumed with milk increases human sperm count to an astonishing degree. Since, basically Sexual Virility is concerned with three fundamental Organs in the male body, all these organs use Glucose and Fructose to obtain energy.
        Honey as already mentioned is the best source of the above required sugars. No wonder it’s dubbed the Elixir of life even earning itself clear mention in the Quran as far back as 1,400 years.




        Baldness

        Scrub the bald area with onions till red. Then apply honey.


        Constipation

        For patients suffering from constipation as spoon of honey mildly heated with a small quantity of wheat husk added after it is cooled & administered to the patient, gives immediate relief.
        Otherwise take ½ teaspoon honey mixed with ½ - 1cup warm water 2-3 times a day


        Paralysis

        The famous physician ibn Sina (Aviccina) writes that licking honey mixed with the extract of boiled rice Wij (Peench in Urdu) helps cure partial facial paralysis.



        High Blood Pressure

        Take mixed 1 teaspoon honey, 1 teaspoon ginger juice and 1 teaspoon cumin powder 2x a day


        Anaemia

        Honey is the best blood enricher by raising corpuscle content. The darker the honey the more minerals it contains.

        Take 1 ripe banana with 1 tablespoon honey 1-2x a day


        Hay Fever

        Chewing the tops of comb honey stimulates the immune system due to minute amounts of pollen. During the season chew for 20 minutes a teaspoon of bee capping (tops) five to six times per day. Highly effective and useful for asthma sufferers as well


        Insect Bites

        According to Islamic medicine, for cases of bite or stinging of poisonous insects, a paste made of one part unsoaked limestone, four parts honey & four parts olive oil applied on the affected part will give immediate relief.

Apply olive oil on scalp, it also grows the hair and checks the loss of hair



Constipation

Eat pickles prepared from olives

For chronic cases take 25ml of olive oil mixed with 250ml barley water



Burns:

Apply a combination of normal saline and olive oil



Skin - Boils, rashes, ulcers, itching

Apply olive oil or the water extracted from the crushed olive oil leaves locally



Epilepsy

Use olive oil for massage



Mouth/lip ulcers

Soak olive leaves in water and use as rinse
