  • 1. Acidity - After the meals, take one piece of Clove (Laung) and suck on it slowly. This not only gives instantaneous relief but also helps in reducing the onslaught of diseases arising out of acidity.
    2. Children usually cry before taking a medicine, so what all you have to do is make them suck an ice cube before giving them the medicine as it will chill their taste buds and they will swallow medicine easily as will feel no taste in their mouth.
    3. Bad Breath - Keep Chewing Eliachi/ Sanuf/Cloves so as to removes strong odors.
    4. Bad Stomach - Mix 1 tsp. Of lemon juice with honey and see the results.
    5. Want to slim down try this every morning - Eat a tomato everyday before your breakfast for a couple of months and it will help .Next drink a half glass of lemon juice every morning before tea.
    6. Toothache - Bite a clove for relief.
    7. Indigestion: Drink 1 tsp.of mint juice mixed with an equal amount of honey and lemon juice, and see the results.
    8. Cough & Cold - Dissolve a 1/2 tsp. of turmeric powder in half a cup of hot sweetened milk and drink for relief.
    9. Chest Congestion - Boil tea leaves, mint & a bit of ginger. Mix with a dash of honey and drink it hot for relief.
    10. Mouth Sores - Sprinkle a mixture of powdered cardamom and rock sugar (misri) over the tongue .
    11. Bee Bite - Rub the area with a paste of soft mud and salt in order to avoid swelling.
    12. For Burns & scalds - Place a crushed onion on the affected part & cover with a bandage .
    13. Stains in teeth - Add a drop of clove oil to the toothpaste before brushing your teeth OR Sprinkle a little table salt on your toothpaste before brushing your teeth .
    14. Constipated- Have an apple to cure constipation.
    15. Keep is whole cardamom or clove in the mouth to subside the sensation of vomiting.
    16. Acne & Pimples - Do not try to prick and peel the acne as this can leave permanent marks on the face.
    17. Constipation -Take 10/12 pieces of Raisin (Munnakka), wash and remove the seeds and then boil them with a glass of milk. Once the milk is boiled, eat the raisins and drink the milk. Next day you will find regulation of bowel movements.
    18. Ear ache & infection - Take two bits of Garlic. Remove the skin. Put them in two spoons of Mustard Oil in a small pan and warm it up on low heat. When the garlic starts turning black (burning) then turn off the heat. Sieve the contents. When the oil becomes lukewarm, then using a cotton stub, put 2 to 4 drops in the aching ear.
    19. Throat Irritation - Take a teaspoon of table salt and mix with a glass of hot water. Gargling 3 - 4 times a day is helpful in giving relief to throat irritation.
    20. Weak Memory - Very good for Students.
    Bake seven almonds and immerse them in a glass of water in the evening. Next morning, after removing the red skin, grind the almonds. Then mix the ground almonds with a glass of milk and boil. When it has boiled, then mix a spoonful of Ghee and two spoonfuls of sugar. When it is lukewarm, then drink it. Do this for 15 to 40 days. It helps in improving memory and also brings vitality to the body.
    21. It is winter now and if you have cold then the first thing you do in the morning is take a glass of warm water with 2-3 drops of lime juice. DO not eat anything for at least half an hour before & after taking it.Try this it will help you to get rid of the cold. I often do this...…
    22. If you get a wound apply turmeric powder to the bleeding portion not only the bleeding will stop immediately even the wound will also heal faster.
    23. A good home remedy for diarrhea is a teaspoon of ginger juice mixed with pinch of a salt.
    24. Apply paste on paining and etching teeth. It will give you quick relief.
    25. After eating banana don't throw away the peels instead rub them on the hand. The skin will become soft and smooth.
    26. In case of insect bites and stings,wash the affected area with vinegar.
    27. The best remedy for whooping cough is to take a spoonful of ginger mixed with equal parts of honey two or three times a day.
    28. Have honey for an itchy throat - Having honey will relieve the itchiness as it moisturizes the throat passage and has curative properties.
